Had a lovely Chai at the Clapham Common SHED!

Good coffee, but they accidentally overcharged me and were completely incapable of giving me a refund. Took up 15 minutes of my time tapping, clicking and phoning the boss, with no results. The place is completely cashless but the staff have not been trained to operate the system. So the only option was to accept a voucher, which was no use to me since I live 150 miles away. Edit: The proprietor did contact me after I left this review on Google and gave me a full refund.

This is my top spot to grab a coffee in the Clapham south/balham area as the staff are super friendly and the coffee is always good!

The coffee here is AMAZING! Really tasty and well prepared,I always get lattes and the milk is frothed perfectly and always served with a smile. Really happy to have this as my local go-to coffeeshop.

Not impressed with the service. The barista was rude and abrupt with me. In the end the coffee wasn’t much good either. Won’t be going here again.

Rude staff. Incompetent service. Staff wilfully ignore you unless they know you and/or you have a dog poking out your coat. Will go elsewhere from now on. Overpriced pish anyway.

Luckily I didn't get the batista with the brown bob hairdo. Shed is the beacon of Clapham South. A delight. You have to walk Milk in Balham and Snap Shot in Tooting Bec to get coffee as good as this south of the common. Caravan Roasters - coffee these guys use - is superb.

I used to buy coffee and wine from here but won’t be any longer due to the service - In particular the girl with the brown bob (as others have mentioned). I politely asked for a coffee. Instead I got stared down and severd with an attitude. It was a surreal experience! Coffee shops are ten a penny in London - I’ll be going elsewhere.

Popped in the other week for an oatmilk latte and got served by the lovely Miriam, was honestly a brilliant coffee and she also really patiently explained to me the difference between the coffees when I got curious about flatwhite Vs cortardo VS latte etc 😅

I used to go to Shed all the time, but honestly the service has been pretty abysmal lately. A lot of attitude and just very short. The barista with the brunette bob particularly. Once, fine, but three times now it's been noticeable. Think I'll be making Daisy or Nue Ground my new regular.

Disgraceful "card only" payment policy, made worse by NO SIGNS ANYWHERE inside or outside the shop to indicate this. Suggestion: accept cash and/or cryptocurrency payments. P.S. there is better value competition about 10 minutes' walk south of here. :)

Not sure why an oat milk flat white costs £3.30 when down the road next to Clapham Common Station it costs £2.60. Also not sure why it was made to be scolding hot - holding a coffee is a good test of if it’s going to burn your mouth and this certainly would have...

If there were a 0 star rate I would rather rate 0 star. The ginger guy works there and he’s racist and rude and the girl also she rude very very bad service and rude service I went to get a coffee and they were busy has 3 customers in side the shop and I thought nah I’m not gonna wait outside I will be in 30 mins and they will be gone...then I went back it was only one customer inside the shop and he was about to pay as soon as I went in he told me to wait outside coz only 1 customers allowed inside !! Ok so why 2 people works behind the coffee Machine and 30 mins a go you had 3 people inside ???? Very bad

They use caravan coffee and it’s just amazing. The added meats and other delicious items is great.

I was so happy to see SHED open at Clapham South. The coffee they serve is very good, with a number of milk alternatives if you need, and a nice selection of baked goods. There's also bags of beans - I've tried a few and have enjoyed all of them - and decent wine selection. Staff are always friendly and helpful. So happy to have found my new little coffee spot.

Best coffee for miles and DEFINITELY BEST SALTED CARAMEL BROWNIES. I am slightly addicted to the shed as all the staff are so friendly and indulge me in me waffling about the random things I go looking at.

For all of you living in clapham - this needs to be your new morning coffee spot 👌. Stopped going to Costa as soon as they opened and never looked back. Great coffee, awesome wine selection and a bunch of really nice people. I go there every week and it’s always a pleasure to stop for a coffee and a chat with Tanya, Chloe, Ollie (2 of them), Shane and the rest of the team!

If there were a ‘0’ star rating option, I’d apply it here. I’ll say that this place offers some of the nicest bread I’ve tasted, however, this is completely diminished and negatively overshadowed by the repugnantly rude ‘service’ that my mother and me were forced to endure at the hands of a female member of staff. The woman in question, made little effort to assist, or even acknowledge us, when I came in (in my wheelchair) and attempted to order. When I was eventually able to pay for my ordered items, the woman had completely forgotten that she was serving me, and started making coffee for another customer, leaving me to wait for several minutes before she finally remembered that I was awaiting my bill - even then, without even looking at me, she processed my payment and very curtly said ‘card’. When my mother asked for a receipt; with her back to us, she bellowed ‘email only’, with no explanation. We left without being acknowledged, and without said receipt. Everyone deserves a level of respect - particularly paying customers. This is something that is regrettably not recognised by certain people who are employed at this deli. What saddens me even more, is that upon reading other reviewer experiences, people commonly comment on the friendliness of the staff. Why is this friendliness not afforded to everyone who visits? I was just a customer looking to try somewhere new, and I’ve never been made to feel as awkwardly unwelcome, as I was here. Leaving with a poor taste in my mouth - one that has not been caused by food. I will take my money elsewhere, and I implore others to do the same. Deplorable.

This unassuming little coffee shop, just by Clapham South Station, serves one of the best coffees I ever had. On the plus side, the service is friendly and pleasant. Bonus tip: if you come regularly, and order the same coffee, the baristas try to remember what you ordered and make it their pleasure. Nothing but praises for them!

Honestly, maybe I should give it a one star review, because now I want to go out of my way to stop at Clapham South every day for a coffee from here. 😅 I was in the area waiting for someone and was happy to find this little coffee shop nestled within the station. It's small but very open and honestly? Might've made the best flat white I've ever had and I am now rethinking a lot of cafés I visit. Super conveniently located, so if you're in the area or a local, make time to pop in! Even if you're not someone who frequents Clapham South, I'd say it's worth venturing there just to grab a coffee here.
