I used to visit this establishment when it was "The Curious Eatery", but haven't been able to visit post-pandemic until now. I was absolutely delighted to find that the team have kept it open, pivoting to the kind of classy, elevated pub fare that we need more of in the general area. The food (I had the cod and chips) was excellent (excellent value, too) and the atmosphere as cozy and welcoming as always. It's location makes it a drive-to destination for many, I'd imagine, but it is well worth that drive!

Have been eating at other local venues for some time, and have been wanting to visit The Albion Inn for a while since it transitioned from the Curious Eatery. The food by Ollie and his team was outstanding, the popcorn pheasant was really delicious, my fish a chips was perfectly cooked and the batter was superb and not soggy, my mothers beef stew was excellent and rich (my mother is a very tough critic), and the desert which we shared and which I wouldn't usually do, a rhubarb type mousse was stunning and not overly sweet. Well done guys, it was a real pleasure to experience and without doubt was the best food I've had in any local restaurant for a long long time.

My wife and I rarely get to go out for a meal, so when the opportunity struck we took a gamble on The Albion Inn - I must say we struck the jackpot! Having recently being diagnosed with Celiac disease I was unsure whether many options would be open to me, but I was overwhelmed with their understanding and accommodation, offering to mix up a gluten free batter for fish and chips, or provide gluten free crackers for cheese if I wanted. Their service was amazing, and arriving at 5:45 on a Friday meant we enjoyed a two hour meal before the evening bustle took over. Even then you could tell it was a local pub, with regular clientele, all warm and friendly. The proprietor told us she grew up in Botswana, and thus a few traditional South African dishes were on the menu, and I opted for a dish that included goat - which was amazing! My wife went for the fish and chips, which she enjoyed thoroughly. This is a venue we will definitely be visiting the next time someone kindly offers to look after our children - and that time we will bring guests to show it off to them!

The best roast in Maidstone. Gravy to die for. Beef fat roast potatoes. Super cheesy cauliflower cheese.

Very pleased to find out that The Albion is open for lunch again! The menu was a nice choice of pub classics. The squid with jalapeño mayo and the fish and chips were stand out fresh and tasty, some of the best we have eaten for many years. We also took some of the sausage rolls home to enjoy later.

No draft beer, only overpriced bottled lager, expensive night out didn't think it was value for money, as for the 12.5 % gratuity that was steep as well
