4 November 2023 cod and chips lunch for 2 . Portion size very good. Well cooked fresh tasting cod golden brown crisp batter chips just right. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and thought it good value for money. The lady cooking today excellent job .

Excellent sausage chips and gravy perfect can't fault at all gardly greasy and none of the hard chips

Great fish and chips excellent value for money + quality . Monica and all the staff give excellent service . The best fish and chips in the area . Tried others but would not go anywhere else . Had 2 box meals fish chips + peas for £13 can't be beaten we always enjoy . Thankyou

Yep, the hike in prices is alive and well at Admiral. Been in today to buy a Small Cod Special. Last week this cost £5. Today its £6.50!....just like that. No message pinned anywhere apologising for this 30% increase. I'm aware everything is going up but my God how do they explain that away. A 30% increase on everything will swell the coffers no end and snacks a little of profiteering. Come on Admiral, explain yourselves, show some small amount of courtesy to your customers and at the very least apologise for the costs you have passed on and the reasons why. Itll do me good to cut back on my Friday chippy tea for the sake of my health and if I needed any more prompting then this has surely done it. Admiral,... You rob dogs. I'm done with you.

Absolutely fantastic food and service had it for my husbands funeral food every body loved it my husband loved a good admiral fish so was appropriate for him

We ordered large fish n chips, and large sausage n chips, came in boxes with mushy peas but hardly any chips!!!! Really disappointing for a large portion!!!

I just had to write this review. This is my local chippy and i'm reluctant to move but for some time now the large Cod that we regularly buy has been overcooked, dry and seems to have been hanging around a while. I wonder if its the guy that fries that just isn't very good. They used to employ someone else as the fryer and the fish was always lovely. We then started buying Haddock instead which was better but I still thought a bit dry. However yesterday there was piles of Cod but no Haddock, no explanation why ??? So we bought the large Cod against my better judgement and god it was horrible. It tasted like it had been cooked for a hour !! So... sorry, bye bye Admiral.

Fantastic Chippy and even better staff, food ordered on phone and always ready for me to collect, wheelchair friendly chippy and very very friendly staff.

This is the place to come in the South East Sheffield area - although just in Derbyshire. It is the creme-de-la-creme of Admirals in Mosborough, Birley, Beighton and Killamarsh, all take-aways. Geographically I live closer to Beighton and Mosborough - but this one - even through staffing intermingles - is always the best, and the Haddock exceptional

The Admiral is the best chip shop for miles and I wouldn’t use any other. The place is very clean and the staff are very helpful. I use this at least once a week

Chippy lunch with work mates, we all have the special which is £3.90 for fish chips and a side. Always great, just enough portion, staff are nice, fish is delicious and chips and peas are good

Always come to this chip shop, always have a lovely meal. Just like being at the sea side. Good sized fish as well, not bad price.

Great fish and chips. I've been going there for over 30 years. They do a small cod special with either curry, peas, baked beans or gravy which is nice.

Warm welcoming inn. Plenty of choice both traditional and a little bit different. Smoked salmon fish cakes were delicious. We eat here three or four times a year when we go to put flowers on a grave in the cemetery opposite and we have never had a disappointing meal yet. We have been going for over 15 years.

Always go here for fish and chips. The fish is always fresh and is quite big compared to some of their other less busy branches. They are always busy so you very rarely get a bad batch. The staff are always friendly , quick and efficient, My favourite.

When wanting fish and chips we go to the Admiral because the quality and the size of the fish is excellent. Very good tasting fish especially the Cod would recommend it.

We have been using the admiral for quiet a few years now and found them pretty good ,we hav had a bad batch .these were mostly when they had Been out of fryer for a long time when this happens best thing to do with them is bin them ,this happens in every chippy not just admiral .go round corner to Tony's these are good and on the same parr as admiral but admiral is best value for money,I would recommend admiral ,they are not cheap but they do do a small fish chips and peas or curry or gravy foe about pounds.this us what we hav and u get a fish a as big as what u get from Tony's and a lot more 8 out of ten .only problem bad place for parking.

Standard chippy, nothing special. The fish comes with skin which isn't to my liking, the kebabs are decent though. Decent portions and competitively priced.

All any one needs in a chippy.Always the same good standard of food.Can be a bit on the costly side.
