McDonald's in North East Derbyshire

My food arrived 1 hour and 40 minutes after ordering the food, it arrived very cold had to be rewarmed in the microwave, only got refunded for a happy meal when the order cost £20 . Will not be using just eat again

Never got my order delivered and did not let me know why I'm trying to get a refund on my card !

As a regular it pains me leaving this review but the place definitely needs some attention. If you are a party of 3 or more prepare to eat cold chips. If you are lucky, maybe, the rest of the order will still be lukewarm. Also factor a longer wait than normal. One of the reasons for delays is that delivery drivers get priority service at the counter. Also worth mentioning that there are only 2 disabled bays and delivery drivers often use them as their private parking. Just go there if you have a lot of time and are prepared to send food back when it will get to you after 30 min cold...

Ordered a McDelivery from here and it came without the Big Mac. Rang the store, but nothing they can do apparently as they don’t control the drivers. Why is that my problem? Your incompetence in store meant the bag you gave the delivery driver didn’t have the food in that I ordered and paid for. Directed to use the app to apply for a refund before the person then just put the phone down. Tried to apply for the refund through the app but as soon as you say it’s a problem with McDelivery, it tells you to contact Uber Eats as they control the drivers. Why is it their problem that McDonalds staff in store can’t pack a bag correctly? The drivers don’t look in the sealed bags to make sure it has everything. Very poor customer service from McDonalds.

Food is typical mcdonalds fayre. Service on this particular visit wasn't up to par I'm afraid. Left my best friend waiting at the counter whilst prioritising online delivery orders

Was excited to have a local Maccies for Uber eats delivery. Had a few orders and more have come with missing items than correct orders. Bit disappointing.

Ordered a bbq smokehouse and instead got one of those saver menu chicken burgers inside the smokehouse bun with a bit of lettuce on top to cover it up. My partner ordered a grilled chicken salad and got just salad in a box. Never ordering again and I have ordered from here for a while now.

All food hot and prepared great. Nothing missing. Delivery was with a smile and very pleasant gentleman

Driver was bang on time, lovely bloke. MacDonald’s had forgotten to give him the fries and drinks from our order. Nothing he could do so have had a refund from just eat. Hope it doesn’t impact on him.

Terrible, worst service ever, I even rang the branch, I’m only 10 minutes from them, the guy fobbed me off like I was a fool, I would have collected it myself, but I have a lot of family issues, so I couldn’t, I’m so annoyed and angry, but I shouldn’t be relying on fast food

Absolute joke. Ordered via just eat and an hour later the order is cancelled due to ‘unable to make your order’. Why would it take an hour to determine this?!?

Just been through the drive through got home with my chicken selects meal and all my chicken is cold. Totally spoil my meal. Chips are not good either not cooked long enough so still white and they are cold too.

Wouldn't drive through, staff misheard what you order and then when comes too... Orders wrong... But there's nothing you can do about it as that's what you've already paid for.. even though it wasn't what you'd ordered. Wouldn't bother. Go to your local cafe and support local businesses. Not convenient cancer food.. EDIT: just been into the maccies on foot. And the service was slow to say I only ordered a drink, there was one person in the queue and the online order machine isn't dispensing ticket numbers. Sort your store out or I'm standing out the front of it with signs to drive away business

This order took 1.5hr to arrive, which is awful considering it’s less than 10 minutes from my house. Originally said 40 mins which is bad enough and then changed the times. I tried to cancel but there was no option in the help menu other than to ring up but when you ring up it tells you to use the help menu! When the food eventually arrived it was stone cold. As I am pregnant, I couldn’t reheat so it went in the bin! Not impressed!

This must be the worst McDonalds around. Always something missing and when you do actually get the food its freezing and looks awful. Will not be ordering from here again.

Have to say it's the nicest maccies I've had. Always hot. Staff all polite. Grub always fresh.

I placed an order through the apps, After I placed the order, I found that the store was closed because system update, so I can't pick up my order. After that, I went to the store next day, I hope I can pick up my order but the store manager said that the bank would not debit my money, so I trust he said and didn't pick up my order, after few date later, but in the end it was debited. Firstly, why can still place orders through the app after the store is closed? Second, the store manager said that he would not count but in the end he did. It felt like a lie and I would not place order here again.

The driver could not find us, and all the drinks leaked onto our floor. Cold meal.

arrived over half hour late and all food was cold and was like eating dry rubber 🤬🤬 had the new hatrick certainly only one slice of cheese unlike 2 shown in the photo and no onions only a tiny bit of ketchup . huge disappointment certainly won't be in a hurry to order again

We are visiting from Los Angeles. We usually eat at this McDonald's. Each year, the highlight is Rachel. She is amazing. This is the second year I have observed her and how she flawlessly and naturally interacts with the customers. It's like their her family the way she welcomes them and takes the time to make sure they are okay and their food is good. The way she manages hopefully makes the team feel calm and of course not stressed. I know this McDonald's is a busy one. Rachel is always greeting and cleaning. Rachel even tried to comfort a nervous young man applying for a job. There is another lady with short dark hair and glasses. She was great also. Rachel treats people like people who matter and not just a revenue source. Thank you Rachel. We will be back hopefully next year. God bless you and your team.

Order never turned up. Ordered an hour before breakfast finished was due to arrive at 10:45 and gradually kept getting later and later until 11:30 but then breakfast had done. Called mcdonald’s and they were great about it and gave me some vouchers to compensate for this issues but still having issues on getting my refund back from over 2 weeks ago

chips were under cooked and my milkshake had a hole in the cup and so it had leaked in the bag. Not happy

I made a collection order from the numbered bays (13) clearly stated on the app however they gave me the wrong order and I didn't realise till I got home No apology for my time ,wasted fuel or the disappointment of my children I did asked for a voucher or anything to make up for the inconvenience but the reply from the shift manager was a rude NO as if it was my fault I'm certain it's a regular gesture that mcdonald's adhere to when they make a mistake but I didn't fit the criteria I guess

Food was 30 mins late I asked for no tomato but came with it all food was cold very dissapointed

Food was stone cold, chips was dead more flavour in oven chips. The tasted like they’d been sat for two days. No straws for the 2 drinks, no sauces that I ordered and no napkins. Absolutely shocking paying for this!

I have no idea of exactly how long it was delivered later (it was ordered for 12pm) as it was just left on the doorstep!! Needless to say by the time my sister realised it was there it was freezing cold and inedible. Please reply to this message so this can be refunded.

Drive through: half portion of luke-warm chips, badly made burger all for £8. Not good value and should be better for the money paid.

With Clay Cross being my local, it’s more convenient the. Chesterfield. But each time I order, it’s more like a game of let’s guess what’s not in the bag this time. Always have missing items, resulting in a return to have to get the missing food. I can’t recall a time I’ve ordered and somethings not been missing. This time, order a McSpicy Chicken. Even the box says Chicken. To my surprise, opened the box to be presented with a McSpicy - Quarter Pounder. Whoever is in the kitchen needs a basic lesson on the types of meat available on the market. How can you mix up Chicken with a Beef burger. If you like getting in your steps, have extra fuel to keep returning or just like to speak to staff about missing food / wrong order, Clay Cross McDonalds is your perfect place! Well Done Clay Cross, can see why you have a high staff turnover in this store.

Waited 30 mins then had cold food in take out bag but ordered table service. Complained and it was redelivered but chips still luke warm.

Delivery time keep getting later & later, map wouldn't update properly to see where the driver was and then food turned up absolutely stone cold most of it went in the bin, don't waste your time or money ordering McDonald's the drivers mess about too much & take on too many deliveries so it's always cold.

Go through drive-through, asked to wait in a bay, and often comes wrong, and I have to go in, which almost defeats the convenience of a drive-through.

Ordered a Chicken Big Mac, only to receive a normal Big Mac inside a Chicken Big Mac Box. This site has been pretty much poor every time we've been. Slow and Disorganised members of staff. We shall not be returning here anymore.

Food is great, IF you receive it. This branch is notoriously bad at getting your food order wrong. If you're utilising the drive through, pull over in the car-park and check it prior to leaving. If using a delivery service, ensure you know how to utilise the refund function. You're going to need it! Only sure way they're getting your order correct here, is by going in and eating in (using a tray so they can see what is on it). It's a very easy resolve for them to just have someone on the pass, checking the contents of the bags but, alas, this doesn't seem to happen. Must do better Clay-Cross.

We just love Macdonald's in the uk . I use this MacDonald for my daughter dog walk . An hour walk then sit outside use the app and get a coffee they then delivere it outside. There are tables under cover . 2nd time I have done this and its good training for the young dog to get use to distractions. Lovely friendly staff.

Absolutely no need for the way the workers are they are vile to the people who come in to eat, cold drink when they meant to be hot, the way 1 of them spoke to another member off staff was disgusting and moaning cuz they been asked for sauce and talking about the customers while they walk away from them

The drink had been spilled in the bag so only a mouth full left and the burger was cold.

Ordered quarter pounder deluxe with customisations due to allergies but when I received it it had everything on so i took it back to get it corrected, stood waiting 5 mins calling for someone but they kept walking straight past. The manager took the burger to correct it but I was waiting another 20 minutes because he had forgotten about it. About to eat the new burger and saw the customisation was wrong again. After taking it back another time and receiving yet another burger, in total I waited 35 minutes! Terrible service.

The service here is often slow and disorganized. When using the drive-thru, it's hit or miss whether you'll be asked to park in a bay. If you do, expect to wait 10-15 minutes even for a small order like 9 chicken nuggets and a cheeseburger. They tend to let 10+ cars pass before fulfilling your order, which can be frustrating. Additionally, I've experienced missing items from my order multiple times. I'd recommend always double-checking your order before leaving.

Yet again items missing from the order. If you are too busy to check the orders are complete before despatch, you need more staff. Or staff who can at least count!

If your on shift tonight 28/3/24.... 7:30pm you should be very ashamed of yourselves. We was served but was left waiting in a bay for 20 minutes then I called by phone to see what the hold up was, and the ignorant girl said do you mind waiting longer we're very busy... finally after 30 minutes our cold food came.... check your cameras it went straight in your bin. 🤬

Order arrived late, order was missing a burger I paid for, one of the burgers that arrived was incorrect and there should have been a free dessert which was stated on the order which was also missing. Not a pleasant experience at all.

Went here today and spent 30 minutes in the drive thru. From 8.15 until 8.45pm. Not a huge queue, just an exceptionally slow and inadequate service. Was given the wrong drink and food was cold. Absolute waste of time and money. Avoid!
