The worst chippy in Sheffield. The staff can’t be bothered to serve you, they can’t wait to get home. They lie to you and tell you they haven’t got what you want. “ can’t have 2 chip buttys at 7.30pm And Portions get smaller and smaller

Fishcake butty was so disappointing £4.50. Fish cake was small and thin compared to the breadcake, so dried out on the sides you can’t bite through and the fish tasted off. I had to bin it! Nothing like the Killermarsh branch which was fresh, huge ao it filled the same sized bread roll and was delicious!

I don't know what's changed but the chips from here lately are bloody delicious. Super fluffy chips that melt in your mouth. I am addicted. The service is always good too!

First time in 3 yrs I’ve been here last sat afternoon , crackin fish n chips 3 yrs ago What has happened!!!! Undercooked chips, tasteless fish and the mushy peas , green water with lumps in 90% went in the bin , outrageous price for slop Always wondered why it was always empty , now I know !

The guy needs sacking, any slower he would have stopped put me of my food to be honest 😡

What Fantastic customer service from a young women called Alyssia. Been in a few times and she is so friendly and smiley. Young people get so much bad press. Keep up the amazing work you can't buy a personality.

Never had to wait so long for my food to cook?! 8 people ordered and they cooked each one individually which left us waiting over 20 minutes 😐

Probably the worst fish I've ever been served dry as a bone and cold first and last time ill go there. Young lad serving was a great kid but food was terrible and severely over priced

Reheated food fish cake was very poor quality pay more for less avoid if possible lots of local choice.

No hair nets at all got home cut in to fish long black hair in it disgusting!!!

Shocked at how much this chippy has gone down hill. 19.30pm and no Haddock or Fishcakes left. Young girl who served me originally was very pleasant and professional. Unfortunately I had to take the "freshly cooked" Cod back as it wasn't cooked through (partly raw) and was cold. Different server had no idea what to do, eventually got a fresh fish but was made to feel like I was a idiot. Will not be going back.

Good quality food at a reasonable price, one of the best in the area

This place was good at one time but last night they had only chips and sausage and fish for sale. This was at 7pm. I ordered the chips and sausage to find the chips where cold and the sausage was disgusting. Sort it out.

Best chippy around the area, in my opinion! Chips are always cooked right... never greasy and neither is the fish or battered sasuage! Mushy peas are lovely, and the curry sauce tastes exactly how it should!

Don't go before 12.15 pm Food warmed up from night before shockin

Couldn't actually finish my meal because I asked for curry sauce and got gravy and I don't have gravy with fish. Left my meal very dry. Also the fish was overcooked and plastic like.

Had a fantastic fish supper from Admirals at Freshville, we all really enjoyed the food and give it a big thumbs up! 👍

Went last Sunday tea time, had fish and a battered sausage. The batter was over cooked , really hard and the fish was dry. The chips were hard and dry too. Normally its really nice, but for the price was a real waste of money.

Worse place to get fish and chips from at the moment, use to be really nice b4, & the staff use to be friendly aswell nw the staff are rude unfriendly. I don't know if they are under new management. Not going there ever again!

I Went in last tuesday around 1pm there was a young girl and a young boy working there. very nice and very pleasant. Really seemed to have a brilliant working relationship and good laughs with the customers. The food was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely shocking meals that are well over price. £6.50 for mini fish meal that tasted like it had been warmed up from last week. It used to be one of the best chip shops in Sheffield and that what I've just been served was absolutely disgusting and even my dog wouldn't eat it

This chip is NO WAY NEAR 1 of the best chippys in Sheffield, I went 2weeks ago at 11:30 am , when just opened and ended up with PREVIOUS DAYS WARMED UP CHIPS ( OLD AND BROWN AND HARD ) barly warm.. Went yesterday at 3pm, and got EXACTLY SAME CHIPS, (NOT FRESH CUT OR COOKED AND BARLEY WARM AGAIN, WON'T BE GOING AGAIN. 0 OUT OF 5 STARS..

The wife called in 20 mins before close, couldn't be arsed to put 2 fishcakes in. Their loss

Best chippy I've found in Sheffield, everything is cooked to perfection (no half cooked chips) and the pea's are amazing (not watered down) cannot fault them at all. We drive past 5 chippys just to get to this one.

Got 2 mini fish & chips the chip were dry and hard I would have not served them to a customer I will go elsewhere now sorry admiral they are usually not to bad

Ordered cod, chips and battered sausage Received cod that was greasy and brown, undercooked chips and an unbattered sausage that looked anaemic Won't be back!

When the chips are down this is as good as anywhere, generous portions, reasonable prices.

Defo the best chippy in Sheffield! Always go here whenever I am at my boyfriends home. We love it that much! We even go 2s a day sometimes 😍 the staff are also amazing and extremely friendly. The food comes quick.

Had fish today & it was so dry most of it went in the bin! Inside the batter the fish was broken up & nothing to it. The batter seems to have changed and is really oily. This has been going on for a while now, inconsistent,but after today I'm done. Don't waste your money.

The staff are friendly and talkative, best service they provide and with a smile on your face after being to this fish bar, very chatty and smooth service, a great service.

Friendly staff. It's clean. Chips are cheap & you get lots but there often under cooked. I'd rather wait 2 mins or have less to be honest.

It's a busy fish and chip shop so why is it whenever I go in you always, and I do mean always, have to wait for fish even on a Friday. Most fish and chip shops realise that they are running out of food and put fresh in the fryer. Not this one. Same with chips they wait till they've run out before they put anymore in. Update. Downgraded to 1 star as I've been in tonight and had to wait twice for chips to be prepared as they managed to run out twice. Staff when challenged whined that they'd been on their own all day. Seen more life in a tramps vest than in the staff. Do yourself a favour and don't go.

Usually nice staff and okay food, but I was just told I can not be served a small fish and chips because I don't want a pot of beans or curry or peas. If I had taken it then I would have just thrown them away. Waste of food and plastic. I would have happily taken the fish and chips without the extra and did not want a price reduction. But no... You HAVE to take one or you can not be served. Ridiculous.

Long time for food, didn't say we would be waiting more than 10 mins, ppl came and went whilst we just stood and waited and staff seemed really miserable. You could tell they didn't want to be there, fave no indication as to how long we would be waiting. In fact the staff didn't speak at all once our order was taken.

We had fishcake butties and chips from here with a pot of curry. It was absolutely lovely, really fresh and hot. Batter was still crispy when we got it home. Tasty chips, it all seemed fresh even though we called at 9pm on a Tuesday. Curry was good too

Husband just come in with chips, roe & mushy peas. Chips must have been kept warm for ages as very dry and only half a pot of peas. Very disappointing.

Was passing on a Sunday afternoon after been out with the kids for a walk. We had some cones of chips and a fish cake butty, it was quiet so wasn't expecting anything special, I couldn't believe how freshly cooked everything tasted I will definitely be making the journey to this chippy again.

Impossible to knock beautiful chips and fish

Ordered fish cake butty, had to wait for it to be cooked which wasnt a problem but when I got home and started to eat it I found it to be raw in the centre. Potato rock hard and fish cold and raw. First and last time I will be using this chippy.

Food is okay sometimes depends who's working. The staff lately are Mardy and on the last two times I have visited I have been met with Huff's and sighs after ordering from the older of the women.. (only asked for my fish and sausage to be wrapped separately) The young lad who works is friendly and has good customer service.

Not as expensive as other Chip Shops, a choice of size of portions which is great for different family members, however on the latest visit whilst the fish was good the chips were awful, some barely cooked. It seems that quality can vary

Spent £26 here... they forgot a large bag of chips...chips over cooked or from dinner...(barely warm)...rang and told them.... didn't seem bothered.. NEVER GOING AGAIN

Absolutely rubbish, ordered a fish cake butty and had to wait 10minutes and when I went to eat it the potato wasn’t even cooked properly so I’m guessing the fish wasn’t either! Won’t be going back there again.
