What else can I say - second to none experience. Cheap pints with a friendly atmosphere - would highly recommend!

Good events, friendly staff, always welcoming. Always showing sports in all of the rooms. Decent prices or food and drinks 5/5 for food 5/5 atmosphere

Great bar and a good atmosphere and busier than the last time i was in there and now under new management and getting busy now the hot weather is here. Can relax in there beer garden.

Polite staff. It only opens at 3 pm in the week. As there is no demand to open early

Fantastic pint of John Smiths, in a reasonable price range (£3.50). Atmosphere was excellent will be popping in when im down this neck of the woods again.

Hi I can't seem to find any post regarding the money raised for haywood House bring prsented,as you said you would be doing it at the end of April, it's now the 12th of May and nothing. I did put money into the raffles etc but no mention of the winners. please can you let the community know what is going on with this

Very friendly landlord and landlady lots of choices of drinks bingo night is fun , lots of entertainment for the new year a lovely function room up stairs all been done up very nice .

So glad this beautiful old pub is under new ownership. What an amazing difference to see it now. Everything has had a complete makeover and it's especially good to see the upstairs room all fresh. Can't wait to revisit and enjoy a drink or 6 in the much nicer surroundings. Thank you to the new owners and staff for bringing the pub back to life. ❤️😊👊

Such a good atmosphere everyone’s friendly in there. A real local pub. Very respectful to neighbours with noise. Courtney and Ryan are doing an amazing job running the abbey, couldn’t ask for a better landlady and landlord.

Only visited the upstairs function room, although it was a nice room with its own bar it wouldn't be an acceptable room for a large gathering.

Its a local pub so when you walk in its like a western everyone looking watching you oh got barred to for smoking out side the dump

Pop in there Saturday evening I can say 10 times better than years ago when I pop in .. Clean and very friendly staff .. Doing a great with the pub . Keep it up .

Very nice staff, and the decor is acceptable, I believe it is under quite new management, but so far they are making progress. Its a shame they are not open at lunchtimes, but supply and demand are responsible for this. The prices are also acceptable.

The newstead abbey is under new management it looks lovely and as a real nice atmosphere and the locals are warm and friendly the staff are warm and welcoming the inside is really lovely and there's a pool table and music they have a lovely outside seating it's a real home from home the drinks and food are reasonably priced.the whole thing is really lovely and enjoying. the toilets are clean and tidy so is the rest of the pub in my eyes it's the best public house in bulwell and I well be returning it's my kind of place.😁👌🍺

Lovely local pub run by a local couple, atmosphere and upkeep of the place has drastically improved since then taking over a few months ago. Definitely worth popping in for a pint
