The 216 Grind in Ealing

Been here twice before. Amazing food but a long wait on each occasion. Went last night (19 April 24) for family birthday. Booked 7pm for 3. On arrival shown to table + given menus. Waitress then said they needed the table back by 8.15pm! I asked why she'd given that table to us. No answer but we were moved to another table. Two of us chose the beef fillet and waited. After 10 minutes she came over to tell us no filet beef available. We got up and left. It's not a cheap place, in the two previous occasions it was £120+ for 3 before tip. We won't be going there again.

A late brunch - just in time to get the awesome breakfast and for my partner to get delicious sea bass and salad. Friendly efficient service and the hash browns are to die for!

We are local and our son wanted to try Grind. We had Sunday brunch and the food was excellent. We all had different options from the menu and all were really tasty. Service was very good too

Some friendly staff, some less, most staff looked busy and under pressure and above all not so knowledgeable about Grind coffee or products and menu items. Ambiance is not relaxing neither buzzing, just headache busy, i wouldnt mind the loud music and cocktails if it were a bit later after 7 pm, but not at 1.30 pm on Sunday should be a bit softer... Now the food: so expensive for dishes with poor quality and very ordinary ingredients and flavours. I can get much nicer from a greasy spoon. We were 6 people (family) and no one said mmmmm yummy, and we are all real foodies, and we were hungry... Coffee was nice and I bought some beans as well. I will stick with The Watch House ...similarly expensive but really worth it...much nicer grub, good quality food, friendly people, staff and ambiance.
