Hands down best cafe in Sheffield. The pricing is under what it should be, especially the cakes! I couldn't recommend them anymore! Yeah sometimes they can be a wait but it's all done by 2 people and all coming from the tiniest kitchen you'll ever see! I love this place.

Lovely decore. Place was full so we thought it a good sign. Shame about the breakfast. we ordered 2 small breakfast. Took ages to arrive. Just thought they're busy. Had some soggy unidentifiable triage on the plate. my egg was dried up. It put me off the rest if it. My husband faired better but also didn't like whatever the soggy triangle was. No one bothered to ask us if everything was OK. So we just left. Won't be returning. Such a shame as they have a niche on Woodseats. We'll just put it down to a bad experience.

After seeing someone else having an afternoon tea, I booked one for my friend's birthday. She absolutely loved it, so did I! Plus I had the pleasure in being the clever one to actually book it! Sandwiches were fresh and delicious (creamcheese and cucumber/ salmon/ savoury cheese), cakes were awesome( 2halves mini scone with jam, cream and strawberry, mini victoria sandwich, lemon meringue and rocky road). Couldn't believe I managed to eat it all! We've been for coffee, lunch, breakfast and bistro nights. All fantastic.

I spotted this place on a list of the best cafes in Sheffield and thought we'd give it a try. It doesn't really look much on the outside, but when you walk in it is nicely decorated, warm and welcoming. The food was really good quality and cooked well and we all enjoyed our meals very much. My toastie was particularly nice and it came with parsnip crisps and a delicious home made coleslaw and salad. My intention was to try the huge scotch egg on the menu, but I think I'll save that for next time. I would say that it would have been nice to have a paper copy of a menu to browse at the table. It did feel a little uncomfortable standing up staring over other people eating their meals to read the blackboard as we couldn't see it properly where we were sat. My mother-in-law couldn't read the writing so it was taking ages for me to relate the menu to her. We enjoyed our experience at 'That Place' and would definitely like to visit again. The Chef obviously knows what he's doing and delivers a good plate of quality food. But, little things can make a difference, and a menu at the table would make it a more comfortable experience.

I think this is my favourite breakfast place in Sheffield. All freshly cooked just perfectly every bit is delicious. A real treat.

After hearing about this cafe I went with friends for lunch. This is a small cafe on a busy main road in a shopping area of Woodseats. However that doesn't really set the scene, as the inside has a bistro vibe. Nicely decorated, menu on the wall chalkboard and regularly changing 'specials'. They serve breakfast, sandwiches and more substantial dishes. The atmosphere is cosy, friendly and there were lots of customers. I opted for a fish finger sandwich served with mushy peas, salad, slaw, and homemade parsnips crisps. No chips and they weren't missed!!! One of my friends also chose the sandwich and the other friend had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. There was a choice of bread and all the food came served by a friendly member of staff. Water is available from a 'self-help' water container. We all enjoyed the food and none was left. So nice to have a local cafe which makes us feel like we've been out for a treat and not just filling our empty bodies or calling for lunch whilst working. We will visit again. 👍

Went last night for the bistro night ,the food was absolutely fabulous beautifully served , large portion great value for money hats of toAmanda and Joe for a memorable evening already booked for another time it's not while next August that was the first availability, they also have a great lunch time menu and great coffee and cakes

That place is one of my favourite Sheffield cafes. Whether lunch, brunch or just a coffee, it caters to all. The scotch eggs are amazing as are the epic cheesecake portions! To top it off, the decor is pleasant, seating is comfortable and the staff are so friendly and gracious. Chesterfield Road in Woodseats has quietly built a reputation as an excellent foodie destination, and That place should be a top priority to visit!

Brilliantly priced, delicious food!

This is without doubt the best place for lunch in Sheffield! The choice of dishes is amazing - I had “bhaji burrito” which was delicious, followed by white chocolate & raspberry cheesecake and an excellent cup of coffee, all served by very friendly staff. I cannot recommend That Place more highly and I can’t wait to go again ….soon !

This a lovely local cafe which we have visited many times. The food is always delicious and freshly cooked which sometimes means there’s a little wait at busy times but not and issue. Lovely friendly owners and good menu selection.

Went for brunch on Thursday with my daughter and 21 month old granddaughter. The service was great, the food was amazing and at a great price. It was empty when we went just before 11.30 but soon got busy just after 12. Looking forward to going again

Afternoon Tea was devine. I took my sister to celebrate a special birthday. Food was spot on. Perfect sized sandwiches and cakes. We had the luxury tea with amazing sausage rolls. As my sister said the best lemon meringue she'd ever tasted. Beautifully presented and lovely hosts..thanks Joe and Amanda, your food cannot be beaten

I really enjoyed this place for breakfast. I got a breakfast burrito it was delicious. The mushrooms on the breakfast special were top notch. Coffee was ok. You order and sit. That was fine. Place was small but fine. Busy but had tables open.

This is the best cafe in Sheffield hands down. It’s such a nice quirky place,the food is outstanding and always fresh and very well presented. I visited ‘That Place’ on Tuesday 21/3 having tried several times before on recommendations from friends but it was always busy…. I can see why ! Absolutely amazing food and fantastic customer service and care. I loved it so much that I have visited three further times this week and have brought family and friends along too. I live 20 miles away but it’s well worth the trip. I feel compelled to write a review not only to sing the praises of such a great place ‘That place’ but to comment on the review left by ‘Josh A’ . I was absolutely gobsmacked at the review. I believe I was actually present when these ladies were there ordering their veggie breakfasts and I heard nothing but politeness from the lady serving them. Thy decided to change their order as it was just being served to them! Some people just want the world and feel entitled and that’s what this review demonstrates. Yes everyone is entitled to their option but I feel they need addressing when it’s done in this way when I witnessed nothing but politeness from the staff. It’s their livelihood at the end of the day . The only thing vile was this lady’s review! Please do not be swayed by this review , the only thing wrong with ‘That place’ is the price …. They don’t charge enough for the quality and service they provide , especially at this time when everything is going up in price. Well done ‘ That Place ‘ my new favourite place to eat .

Came for breakfast having promised myself for ages we would visit . We both had the full English , Absolutely delicious, hot, tasty, great quality and great price. Got to comment on the cappuccino , was lovely , one of the best I’ve had. Had the Mango juice and would have expected to have paid more than £1.20 for it! One gent cooking and one lady serving( believe they are the owners) Although a small place it was packed and nothing was too much trouble for her. Such friendly customer service, cannot wait to return ! Highly recommended , you won’t be disappointed!

I would honestly give 0 stars if i could. The glass they brought to the table was covered in hair /glove fibres so i couldn’t drink from it, they give no choice of bread when you place an order and when i asked for brown i was told white had already been toasted- as if paying over £7 doesn’t justify a slice of bread that you like. It’s not even the issues that are what’s upset me so much, it’s the rudeness of the staff and the lack of customer service when faced with the issues. You couldn’t pay me to eat here again and i’d put 0 stars if i could Also- poor layout, the menu is written on a black board there are no handouts so you have to stand on to wait around looking at a menu behind people who are eating, rather than being able to relax and pick at your table. Waited over 25 minutes for food and it was cheap tasting and presented in a way that it was soggy as liquid had been slapped on dry food

Only one word to use for the food here & that is quality, not much more needs to be said really. Only a small cafe so lucky to get in heard a lot about it through reviews & wasn't disappointed my egg Benedict on bacon wasn't massive but the quality was spot on, there certainly were more substantial meals available, glad ticked this off.

This place is so well worth a visit. I had a salad which was really good along with a couple of coffees! Went to pay and saw cake so decided to share a millionaires shortbread as no calories in salad is there… it was lovely....

Ordered a prawn sandwich to take out- wasn’t expecting too much! Ended up with a sticky car and plenty of apologies at my next meeting as I was covered in sauce! I couldn’t put my sandwich down and I was driving! It was absolutely delicious! I have eaten-in here so I know how good the food is- I forgot!!!

Absolutely spot on. The breakfast is like a plate of dreams and then to follow that up with the white chocolate & raspberry cheesecake was like a wonderful taste party in my mouth. That Place does tend to fill up quite quickly but that's of the taste sensations on offer.

We went here last night and all I can say is wow! The food was amazing, the staff are soooo efficient and friendly and instead of being rushed the service is perfectly timed giving us time to chat and enjoy a whole evening out rather than a quick meal and off you go home!
