That Cake in Redcar and Cleveland

I literally have no words to explain how good the cake / brownies are here! Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area to visit this place - Steven makes the most AMAZING selection of cakes, brownies and don’t get me started on the donuts! Steven is such a lovely bloke too and all the staff are so polite and helpful! Once you’ve tried it you’ll find yourself back in there week after week like me 🤣👏🏽

Such an incredible place to go for a cake or even a sundae! Amazing food to go! If you’re there make this place a priority for sure you will not regret it.

As a lock down treat, I ordered a box of brownies, and oh my goodness- what a delight! I feel a bit like Goldilocks writing this but they were sweet (but not too sweet); fudgey & gooey (but not too fudgey & gooey)- they were perfection! The size of each brownie was spot on as well, and the packaging feels wholesome and is eco-friendly. I can’t wait for the next cake drop!

We bought cake from here a few days before lockdown and was so happy when we found out they’d be delivering during lockdown. We’ve ordered pretty much every week and it never disappoints. By far the best brownies we’ve ever tasted! So thick and gooey! This is our 3rd “cakeaway” during lockdown and it’s pretty much the only thing keeping this shielded family going! I Bought a brownie box after someone recommended it to me, money well spent! The brownies are thick and huge! The Rolo, and daim bar ones are my favourite. Fresh and lasted well in the box supplied. Hand delivered in a safe and social distanced way. Well packaged, friendly staff, I highly recommended!

I often visit ‘that cake‘ for cake away treats in my hometown of saltburn. They provide a huge variety of cakes such as kinder bueno, rainbow cake, white chocolate and raspberry, milk chocolate etc. They also bake and sell cornflake tarts, brownies and doughnuts. The cakes and doughnuts are my favourite and are always fresh and so full of flavour. Situated inside LillianDaph This quaint little tea room provides all of your sweet treat needs. During lockdown they have also sold their sweet treats from an online platform so us fans haven’t had to miss out. Would definitely recommend 🤤

Ordered a couple of these brownie boxes lately and can say we have not been disappointed! The packaging is great, carefully wrapped and the brownies are perfectly snug so they don't get damaged. The boxes are random but it doesn't matter what you get all the brownies taste divine and we seriously can't get enough. Would highly recommend ordering one of these on the weekly website 'cake drop' ..if they don't sell out first, be quick or you'll miss out!

After trying to get hold of one of the grazing boxes since they were launched I finally managed to get hold of one this week for cakeaway via the website and I have to say it was worth the wait! Well packaged and everything tasted amazing, its no wonder they sell out so quick. I have visited That Cake many times and Stephen also made my wedding cake almost 5 years ago, I have never been disappointed. Definitely worth an order.

Ordered a Cakeaway graze box via the website and had it delivered today! WOW! Like a kid in a sweet shop. Great variety of snacks, including fresh fruit, cookies, cakes, brownies. Spoilt for choice. Simple to order and delivered as agreed. Will certainly be ordering again soon. Thank you for giving me my cake fix during this strange time! ❤️

Cakes might be good but customer service could be better. Had queries ignored. Even ignored when asking for a quote for a cake to be made. Seems to only respond online to his regular customers or customers with their own businesses (to win a bit of advertising). Maybe try taking the time to respond to others and you may get some new customers. Can’t be bothered dealing with again.

Amazing cake! I have been a customer for a number of years and had personal orders, afternoon tea and cake from the previous cake room(s). Steven’s attention to detail is amazing and what you buy is never short of perfect! Looking forward to paying the cake parlour another visit in the not so distant future. I have included a picture of afternoon tea I recently purchased for Mother’s Day and was able to “cakeaway” just amazing!

I like to think of myself as a cake connoisseur of cake (because cake is life) and I’ve sampled all cake the North East has to offer and I have to say that “That Cake” truly wins hands down. Their cake is delicious and light with just the right amount of frosting. I’ve sampled most of the cake options they make and my favourite is lemon poppyseeds and salted caramel...both scrumptious! 😋 I am yet to try the scotch eggs as I’ve given up chocolate for lent but they are on my wish list. The Cake Parlour is just adorable, it’s a small space with gives you the feeling of sitting at your Aunties dining room having a slice of cake and a cuppa. The staff are super friendly and will take the time with each customer to discuss the options and give you their choices too. I like to see what they recommend 😄 The Cake Parlour also sells some amazing “not on the high street” goodies like Naked Marshmallows etc. A visit to That Cake is a regular Mother, Daughter day for me and my daughter and when she goes off to Uni, I love that I can get her cake delivered.

Best cakes I have ever had ! Even better that they are just down the road, Cornflake brownie is a absolute must if you are visiting. Will be back very soon

Whether it’s the bakes, decor or location, That Cake is absolutely amazing. Every single one of Stephen’s creations are absolutely to die for. We always make sure to pop in for a treat whenever we’re in Saltburn and we’re never disappointed 💘
