The driest chips I have ever tasted left them in the nearby bin shame as we are moving to Lutterworth soon but how I miss my beautiful Norfolk fish and chips ....never again

Gave me another fishcake top quality from the waves saved me money cause they gave me fish cakes which I was not supposed to get

I only ever order from here when we want a chippy. Food is cooked fresh, portions are huge, service is quick and staff are so friendly.

I have been to this chippy several times and found the food always good , tonight it was excellent. Maybe it was because it was busy but the chips were fresh and nice and hot. The fish was also large and excellent. Not sure why there are several less than excellent reviews I have not had any issues

I had ordered one large chips one large cod one small cod one battered sausage and two curry sauces I took them home to find out the quality was substandard the fish was manufactured in batter that was not fluffy and crisp the curry sauce was absolutely disgusting chips was okay if you can’t really mess up on chips the quality overall was sub sub standard. If you are hungry and you would like some nice fish and chips I would advise you please do not buy chips from this place as the quality is not good enough for human consumption.

Tried this Fish Bar for the first time today......when i got back home, i found this sad looking dry fish in a box. Not sure if the cardboard box drains the taste out of the food, but will not be revisiting.

Waves had been recommended by friends - but we were disappointed! The fish was just OK . (large Haddock) quite greasy. Chips were awful - Very dry - even my husband didn't like them, and he will eat most things! We also travelled from Blaby to try them! So we wouldn't recommend them.

I have never in my life seen such a poor portion of chips. Chips being the word these were just small bit not one desent chip in the whole portion. Big mistake going here for lunch

Having visited waves on several occasions since moving to lutterworth in September I found the portion sizes to be generously wonderful however on one occasion there seemed to be an error and what I had taken home wasn't waves usual portion size and undercut the amount of mouths it was feeding that night. On my next visit to waves I explained the error they were sincerely apologetic and gave me extra for this visit to make up for the previous mistake. I suppose everyone has better days than others but they corrected it in the best way possible, overall the service here is fab as are the staff and of course the delicious food, this is our family's new local favorite chippy!

had to wait a good 15 minutes for the food so was expecting good things, sadly it wasn't! yes there was a big pile of chips but they were under cooked and soggy, wasn't a fan of the batter and the fish was tasteless. the kids sausage and nuggets were fine. if you get fish and chips you expect a certain standard not sure how they could have got it so wrong!

We have just moved into the area and this was recommended. We both had cod a and chips, and a what a pile of chips. Both were great, will be trying the chicken next time

I usually have Haddock and chips. The batter is light and crisp and the fish succulent. The chips are usually excellent and Sid will throw away any stale ones rather than spoiling his reputation.

Excellent price and huge portions. I can only have the small cod and chips as the portions are large.

A friend recommended we get fish and chips from here but to be honest they were only average - soggy batter and black chips but it was at least genuine cod they're selling and not panga!
