Excellent little restaurant with delicious authentic food and generous portions. Service is excellent, very friendly staff. Lots of vegetarian options. Will definitely go again and recommend it to friends. Thank you guys 😊

We had a fantastic meal here last night. They were great with our 4yr old and newborn, and the food was so delicious. Pad Thai, massaman, chicken with cashew nut, satay - all so good. Be sure to book a table as it was very busy!

Food was delicious and portions large. Did not get one dish that wasn't up to standard. Having visited Thailand a number of times we know that the food is authentic!

During lockdown this restaurant has kept us going . A lovely treat every month as a reward when everything else is shut ! The food is delicious

Sticky rice was like a brick, hard rubbery and could not separate it, Tom yum soup didn’t look appetising, waited 1.5 hours so expected a little more but luckily the Thai curry was good, shame I had no rice to soak it up.

I ordered a takeaway because of Lockdown, the food was delivered on time and it tasted delicious and fresh we had tempura prawns and dim sum all came with garnish, plus curry seafood. I have no complaints and we enjoyed so much we went back next day for more I don't see how anyone can complain . I would recommend this to anyone wanting THAI in Ewell

I ordered two curries; a 'famous Green' and a supposedly 'mild' yellow for my husband, along with a starter for two and rice. I should have been immediately suspicious when, having ordered it at 5.30 pm, it arrived at my house 20/25 minutes later! The rice (both boxes) were wrapped in plastic bags and then in standard take-away boxes. When I removed the packaging, the rice came out in a hard block which was impossible to break up properly. It had quite a dry, hard texture to it which I have only ever experienced when throwing my own home made rice out the day after cooking it: so go figure! The curries: neither seemed to contain any fresh ingredients: I didn't see any fresh chilies, herbs or lemongrass, and curiously, both tasted pretty much the same: peppery and bland. The texture and taste bugged me until the next morning as I had encountered it twice before, and I now know where: a fish and chip shop (curry sauce) and a Chinese takeaway; both use some sort of (nasty) industrial premixed, dry curry mix you probably mix with hot water. It was, I have to say, the worst curry I have ever purchased.

Ordered a chicken pad Thai, when it arrived it was just chicken, mushrooms and peanuts no Noddles. I also ordered the breaded prawns (thank god otherwise I wouldn't of had much for dinner) these tasted like the frozen party ones you get from the supermarket. This small amount cost me £15! I will not be ordering again.

I really like Thai Crystal. I mainly get take away as we have 3 young children but the food is always so lovely. Love the chicken in basil leaves

Arriving in Epsom to stay with friends, my partner and I were handed a booklet of leaflets for take aways. Of course I would get drawn to the Thai. Quick delivery and good portion sizes. The vegetarian red curry and coconut rice. The usual for me. I ordered a portion of tempura vegetables. As nice as they are in house, they don’t travel too well. The vegetables were quite soggy on arrival. Delicious still. For a quick can’t be bothered to cook night, definitely recommend.

Went last night, no working toilets!! Should of walked out but friends said no give it a chance, men had to use the ladies and the staff were bringing buckets from the kitchen to flush it. Food bland and tasteless, up through the night chucking up!!Never again!

I have never written a negative review, but felt compelled after an extremely bad experience. We ordered a takeaway meal, quite a large selection, some dishes inc Thai green curry, papaya salad (inedible) crispy squid (frozen cheap rings) crispy prawns ( terrible quality) Everything was seriously bad tasting, no Thai ingredients used, not fresh, main course dishes smelled acirid and burnt, they had used old ingredients, some which tasted off. We actually ended up cooking for ourselves, as the food was inedible. Called them (not for a refund) but to advise of displeasure of our meal and was not even offered an apology, let alone any refund etc. I’m not exaggerating, this is the poorest meal we have ever had, I can’t believe they would actually serve this to customers. Love Thai and Asian food, so we will keep searching!

The most disgusting food. Fried food tasted of old oil, the vegetables and salad were old to the extend of being discolored and mushy, I could go on. Just awful.

I made a reservation on line and was expecting a confirmation text or e mail as stated. I received no notification so called the restaurant to check that the table was reserved. I was told that my reservation was "rejected" as they were fully booked. I asked why I had not been informed and was told that as I had not received confirmation I should know that my reservation had been "rejected". The man was extremely rude. Very disappointed with his attitude.

Booked delivery online to then be told they can’t deliver beyond 4 miles whereas my address was 3.5mikes. In the end I collected and food was very poor - cold, stale prawn crackers and duck over cooked

The best value for money!! I went last night with my parents and partner, 2 beers, bottle of wine, 5 coffees, 4 starters, 4 mains and 2 side dishes....£120!!!! ( we are used to dinners around £180) The food was unreal, so delicious and the restaurant is so cosy and very attentive. We will definitely recommend and will be going back again! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Ordered dinner online, paid....never delivered. Phoned to see what the problem was, phone constantly engaged or off the hook. Either can't cope or a dishonest rip off. We all went hungry and they still have my money. BEWARE, there is a big problem with this restaurant.

My partner and I went on a Friday evening and hadn’t booked. The restaurant was crowded which is great as always a good sign. But the tables are far too close together and you feel like you are dining with the table next door!The food was tasty (starter platter to share was delicious) we had ordered the Duck as a course before main dish but unfortunately it had been forgotten and the mains came straight out. Massamam beef was tasty but only 4 bits of potato included. We will return again but perhaps not on a Friday to avoid over crowdedness.

Lovely staff, excellent food. Nice interior. Recommended. Apparently it is busiest Fridays and Saturdays, and maybe even Sundays so check and/or book in advance.

Very pleasant evening meal with my aunt. The restaurant wasn't busy on an August Saturday evening but the staff were very pleasant and the food first class. Overall very good.

Had an enjoyable meal in a nice setting. Food was tasty and hot although difficult to know what to choose as the menu was varied and some dishes may have been good spicy but waitress advised us and we enjoyed the chicken dish we had

Lamentablemente no fue una experiencia agradable. No nos había dado cuenta de que estaba bajo nueva dirección. Como solía ser nuestro favorito de Tailandia. Pedí el pollo y era incomible que he comprado pollo antes de un supermercado y fue Correoso y una textura diferente. No regresaremos.

We happened upon this local restaurant by accident but it will not be an accident when we visit again. The service was efficient. The food excellent. It is a small but lovely cosy restaurant and a fabulous find close to home .

El Thai Crystal es un verdadero hallazgo. Tuvimos la mejor comida tailandesa que hemos disfrutado fuera de Tailandia. Nuestro grupo eligió una amplia selección de un extenso menú. Todos nosotros realmente disfrutamos de nuestras comidas. Un ambiente agradable y servicio rápido y amable. Sin duda merece la pena una visita especial.

Incluso mejor que los anteriores dueños, la comida es fabulosa, buena ropa de cama blanca en las mesas. Pequeño ambiente íntimo, los propietarios son muy agradables y serviciales. Menú alergia alimentaria, así que hay algo para todo el mundo, vale la pena una visita, he estado allí dos veces bajo los nuevos propietarios, ambas veces ha impresionado.

Tres de nosotros tuvimos una comida aquí en la víspera de año nuevo. El personal era muy amable y servicial y los aperitivos nos sirvieron muy rápidamente. Durante la noche el personal era muy atento. El restaurante, que no es tan grande, era casi completa, con lo que parecía ser clientes habituales, que siempre es una buena señal. La cuenta al final de la noche era razonable aunque tenía automáticamente se ha añadido un cargo por servicio. Una agradable velada con buena comida, sin duda volveremos.

we when here a few time before after the Thai restaurant in Epsom town closed and became a burger restaurant and they have had a bit of a move around which has created a bit more space . the food is great and the staff are very helpful and friendly highly recommend for date night or family and friends get together best book in advance.

Restaurante muy pequeño, pero muy bien decorado. El personal es muy amable, la comida es muy bonito. Mucha variedad en el menú. No tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para nada.

My Husband and I heard that the food here was very good. Well they were wrong ............ the food is fantastic!!We love dining out, trying new places to eat and supporting local businesses. We had tried to go one Tuesday evening and we were very disappointed to find they were closed Anyhow, we made it in the end.Lovely surroundings, friendly staff to greet us, and we didn't feel rushed. Just how we like it. We enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and a slow pace. Why rush good food? We chose different dishes to our usual and it was a pleasant change.If you don't like your crispy duck to be crispy ...... go for the duck and pineapple. It's absolutely gorgeous and they go really well together.Would I go for a meal again? Most definitely, and we will be taking some friends and family when we do. So pleased we have this little gem on our doorstep.

Nice quiet little place for a Thai meal. Good for a small group, or a couple. Nice food and good value

As restaurant recently 'revamped thought we would try but very disappointed, the mixed platter was not good, tough chicken satay and the prawn toast did not taste like one I have ever had before and fish cake not good!! As for the crispy duck it was the worst I have ever had overcooked and cold!! All served on cold plates too !!

We tried ringing to book a table but never got an answer. (Also no answerphone message to inform us that the restaurant has closed.) We also tried the website and again, no mention. Not knowing that it was closed for refit or new owners, we went to the restaurant to try to get a table on Wednesday evening. Through the window it looks like it's being redecorated and their is a new sign over the door called Thai Crystal but no notice explaining when it will reopen or anything. We were very disappointed as it was a lovely restaurant. Shame the answerphone or website, didn't have info about closure as it would have saved us the trip but hey ho... Hoping this review gets uploaded to warn other patrons that might be thinking of visiting.

We eat here reasonably often and have always had good food at a good price. Decor nothing fancy and is a pretty small place but that is not a problem for us. Staff always pleasant but can sometimes be a little slow!

Gem of a place, the food is very good, the staff are attentive, the surroundings are quaint and oriental but not over the top. Been to this place twice and each time have been impressed and had good food. Well worth trying.

We have been coming to this gem of a restaurant for a number of years andcan honestly say that we have never had a bad meal here. The food is faultless and to a very high standard as is the restaurant itself. If you are looking for a great Thai meal then look no further you will not be disappointed.

The decor and ambiance is cute at this restaurant. The service is also very good and they are very down to earth. However every dish we had the meat and veg did not taste fresh. The chicken tasted stale and the starters were extremely oily. As a result we will not go back. Its a shame.

This restaurant is a small and friendly and the food is lovely. I have been going there for about 3 years regularly and never had a bad meal. . The cost is not too high either. Would definitely recommend it.

Good authentic Thai food especially for those who have enjoyed Thai food in Thailand. Best way to enjoy thai food is for the group to order different dishes and share. The servers are very good at recommending perfect combinations.

We went to this restaurant for the first time this week as our usual Thai place closed down a few weeks ago. The service was very good. The lady came a couple of times to ensure we had everything we needed. Regarding the food, we had a pad Thai chickens and a Panang curry. Both sauces were very good however the chicken was either overcooked or too old. It simply didn't taste right. As a starter I had a prawn sesame bread but it was so oily that I couldn't finish it.

Had a fantastic meal in this attractive Thai restaurant. The restaurant has a great ambiance and is beautifully designed in traditional Thai style. Friendly, knowledgeable staff make for an enjoyable experience. Very welcoming to children. Free parking outside. So, I'm relaxed and enjoying the experience - but the food was wonderful too. Authentic Thai food that was delightful to the palate. Will be back!

I've eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and really enjoyed the food so thought we'd try a takeaway and weren' at all disappointed. Very tasty.

I visited Thailand restaurant with 3 other people looking for delicious fresh thai food and that is exactly what we got!On arrival the service was slow it took them a good ten minutes to take our drink orders and another ten minutes to bring our drinks to the table.I ordered crispy aromatic duck and vegetarian spring rolls for my starter. Both were really tasty and a good portion size.For main I choose red thai curry with sticky rice which was amazing. The curry was mild with just the right amount of spice and the flavours in the curry were mouth watering. The sticky rice had just the right consistency.Myself and the party we visited with were very impressed by the standard of food and will be coming back again. We just felt the service was a little slow! However a charming little restaurant.

This is a true hidden gem and I feel a bit like i don't want to share this secret paradise because its that good you will go back time and time again. A group of us had been booked in to go to another restaurant some months back but after they botched our booking i had to at the last minute on a saturday find another venue, to called them and they had a time and just our luck stumbled upon this lovely little gem and have never looked back! We have bern here several times since and always a pleasure to look forward to. Amazing staff and even more amazing authentic food.

I went with low expectations as its in a fairly random area. Wow was I proved wrong. I collected for take away, and was presented with crackers to munch by the lovely lady while I waited. They made the food in good time ( I'm always concerned if my food is ready too fast). The chicken Penang was divine, the tempura vegetables where variatible and light, exactly as tempura should be. Lovely coconut rice and fresh spring vegetables. Massive portions, great price, big suprise. I can't wait to eat there again!!!!

just had a very nice meal good ingredents loverly flavours and very good value iam local and had a meal with two work colleges we all said we would come back set menu & red wine came to £24 cant be bad.

Only discovered this little jewel a few months ago but compared with other local thai restaurants this is the best in our opinion for both take away and in house. Beautifully authentically decorated, delicious food and very friendly and prompt service. We have been several times with friends and family and never been disappointed.

Live very locally to this restaurant but as it always seems pretty empty inside I have never ventured in until recently. Decided to opt for a take-away thai green curry amongst some other dishes but I was very disappointed. The thai green curry was extremely watery, didn't contain much chicken and completely lacking in flavour. The chicken had obviously been frozen. I won't be going back anytime soon.

We booked at the last minute for this restaurant and arrived early, confirmed our name with a gentleman and were offered more or less any table as we were making our way to our chosen table a woman presumably 'the boss' asked in a very raised voice had we booked!! Service was okay but I found the service lacking and she aforementioned woman was quite aggressive. I asked for mineral water that was on the menu and that seemed to be a bit of an issue. We found the restaurant acceptable in terms of décor and ambience and quite traditional. Unfortunately the food was bland and flavourless and I left most of my main course. I am sad to say that we will not be returning to this restaurant due to the food stand and not being made to feel very welcome. This is a great shame as with Mai Thai closing in Epsom we were hoping to find a local replacement restaurant.

This was Friday 7.00 pm reservation for friends who had come from Thailand .The food was very authentic .The restaurant was hot.The air con was only turned on at about 8.00 pm.The service was average as they did not have enough staff.Had to ask for the dessert menu.Had to ask 3 times for the bill.Waited for 20 minutes for bill.Left the restaurant leaving the cash on the table.Just left £3.00 as tip.The staff were just interested in doing take away orders. Will not recommend this restaurant to my friends as a sit down meal restaurant .To top it off I had a call to say I had underpaid the bill??.I did pass on what I have written here to the person who called.

Visited for the first time a couple of days ago. Went for one of the reasonably priced fixed menus (Bangkok at £18 per head) which turned out to be excellent. Good service too. Will return.

I love Thai food and was introduced to this restaurant by my very good friends a number of years ago. Since then we have visited a number of times (whenever I am in the area) and have never been disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, unassuming, but pleasant and efficient service and the food is just gorgeous.A big favourite of ours is the mixed starter for 2 which is a plate full of different Thai tastes and their curries are just fantastic. Last visit was in December last year with a whole bunch of friends and it was great. Can´t wait to visit again on my next trip to London.

This restaurant is a bit of a local secret - I've eaten in here a few times and its always been a good experience.The décor is tasteful, the atmosphere is relaxing, the staff are friendly and most importantly the food is always of a very good standard.We sometimes order takeaway from here and I recommend the quality and portion size.

Looking for a Thai restaurant in Epsom area after closure of excellent Mae Ping I found this on local reviews and was not disappointed. Friendly staff and a very good value set of fixed price menus. Quite prompt service and a small intimate atmosphere which belies the location on a busy road. Will certainly return.

Ewell Court shopping parade has an amazing number of Asian eateries (and other areas are well represented actually ) but this has to be the pick of the bunch . Lively warm feel atmosphere , nicely decorated with Thai ornaments , pleasant staff . We dined as a group of 8 and chose 3 different set meals to share between us . We were 7 adults with good appetites and 1 child and we chose set meals for 7 and couldn't finish it , very generous portions , very delicious food , nicely presented . Only one slight criticism although it certainly didn't bother us as we had plenty of chatting to do was that the service was pretty slow . Would 100% recommend unless you are in a hurry

Came here by chance and left feeling as we'd been to Thailand in person, nice friendly stuff and surroundings. Food was good and served on hot plates and didn't have that re-heated taste which you sometimes get in Chinese places.

Decided to try instead of our local Thai...Organ and Dragon. Very disappointing, had the standard red curry with chicken. The sauce was watery and the chicken tasted funny almost as if it was cooked from frozen. I'd suggest the organ and dragon if you want a nice meal.

Unlike the restaurant in Epsom proper, this establishment - whether it be busy or empty - always offers a settled welcome. Even arriving quite late of an evening, they are happy to seat diners and attend to them until the meal has reached its own natural end.Being on the recessed service road of the local by-pass in an area which houses a number of restaurants and take-away shops parking can sometimes be a problem, though not usually. There is no outside seating, but given the location it would not be desirable anyway, with traffic fumes and a bus stop over-looking the front door of the premises.Food is good, with fresh tasty ingredients, prepared and presented well. In the three to four years of visiting irregularly the menu has changed three or four times, and has become a little less extensive over time. However, the choices available are still broad enough to keep all but the choosiest of people happy.Most of the time service manages to get the balance just right between attentive and intrusive, and food is always served hot and fresh. In the event of a problem the staff have always been helpful and courteous, with never a hint of annoyance or irritation.Quality good, prices reasonable for Thai, service helpful.
