Been here a couple of times. The food has been inconsistent in both quality and time it takes to make, regardless of how busy/quiet it's been. The staff ignore you most of the time and it can take a lot of effort to get there attention. Tonight we queued along with some other people while just over half the seating was free. The staff looked over multiple times but ignored everyone waiting. Eventually we left to go to a different restaurant, as did the people behind us. We won't bother going back again.

My two friends and I, along with two one years olds, attempted to visit Thaikhun at Monday lunchtime. We were quickly seated, and drinks orders were taken swiftly; this is, however, the end of the positives. Ten minutes after our drinks orders were taken, we were told there was no chicken available, but there were some types of chicken? It was very unclear as to what was available. We asked for two more minutes to decide what we wanted instead, and ten minutes later, the waitress returned after being stared down. We placed our revised order (with the waitress being very confused when I ordered a pad Thai with no extra meat in it) and the waitress went to put the order in with the chefs. Ten more minutes later, the waitress returned to let us know that there were no fish goujons, which we had ordered for the children. We altered this order as well, however, ten further minutes later, she returned for a fourth and final time to tell us that there were no chips available. At this point, we had quite frankly had enough. We explained we would be leaving, and the waitress explained that their catering order was meant to come in at 12 and at 3 (this was approximately 12:45). We questioned why they had opened in the first place if they had such a limited menu, and also why this wasn’t communicated prior to us sitting down (or at least immediately upon sitting down). The waitress did not provide an explanation, and so we left. Additionally, the baby change facilities were unclean and installed too high on the wall for ease of use (I am 5’9 for context). A shame, as whenever we have been previously we have really enjoyed the food, but the lack of communication from staff regarding availability of food was an absolute shambles, and unfortunately, made for a very unpleasant experience.

We love going to this YO! Sushi however the last time we went was even better. The chef over heard us saying how good the food was, gave us 50% off the sushi we took off the belt. We were then given some sushi to take home for free as it was new and we said we wanted to try it but were too full to. The waiting staff were so nice and checked if everything was good. The staff went above and beyond on this visit

Just wanted to say this place is 5* Been in once before and it was amazing. Then today my 11 year old daughter was having her first shopping trip by herself with a friend. However they only had cash and u had to pay by card so the waitress paid for them ❤️ When I picked the girls up we went back to offer to pay but she refused and wanted to pay for the girls. Whilst I didn't get her name she will always be remembered. What a fabulous member of staff. Thank u so much for looking after the girls. X

Staff lovely from start to finish. Before we sat down, they explained what was not available. The menu is big enough for it not to be a problem. We were given options of where we would like to sit. Place was busy, food came within a reasonable time. Both our dishes were delicious, Singapore noodles and chicken katsu. Good portion sizes and price. Will definitely go back.

The first member of staff who steated myself and my friend I was with was lovely, was like pulling teeth trying to summon someone to pay the bill so I could leave though, I had to tell the staff member 4 time that myself and my friend were paying separately also which frustrated me to no end. His job is not hard, he qas polite though so that's a small saving grace. Staff kept bothering me while I was trying to eat and talk to my friend also, you don't have to ask 5 times if the food is okay, if I had an issue I would raise it appropriately. Food quality is massively down from the usual standard. Menu has more variety but quality should never be sacrificed for variety. Pricing has increased quite a bit since my last visit. It was frustrating to try and get a member of staff attention to order additional food, the pre pandemic method of having a button to summon a member of staff was much more efficient and less frustrating. Overall not the dining experience I was expecting but the katsu was alright and thats what I came for. My previous review from 2023 was rated 5 stars, for clarity. I would also like to add the refrigerated sushi I was served was not good, usually it is served fresh or reasonably fresh not pre prepared and thrown in the fridge.

Terrible. Waited 10 minutes to be seated despite tons of seats available. Finally got seated, no menus, no chop sticks, no soy sauce. Waited another 15 minutes to be offered a drink but ended up just giving up and leaving. Told the waitress we were leaving due to poor service and she didn’t even response. Don’t even bother.

Me and my friend waited 10 minutes to be sat down, while waiting none of the waiting staff (which we later found out were both new) attempted to even say how long the waiting time was etc. Ordered tap water as drink are overpriced. It comes warm. Food was bland. Service very slow. 3 tables left before even ordering as waited too long or because ran out of items on the menu. Kitchen staff having loud confrontation with waiting staff. It was overall a terrible experience. Why would you put 2 new staff members together without anyone with more experience alongside them? Won’t be back.

Visited at about 7pm on a Friday night, only one waitress who was talking for 5 min as we waited to be seated, running around when we finally got seated and ignored us waiting to be asked if we wanted a drink. Waited 10 minutes and ended up paying for the 3 dishes we grabbed off the belt and left. Ruined our experience and wasted our time. Don't think we will return to this yo sushi or any other

Popped in after some late shopping and our server Rob was absolutley spot on. Super friendly and welcoming nothing too much trouble and gave recommendations and suggestions on some food and drink options. Very tentative super happy. As for the food, been here a few times now, always spot on if you like this sort of thing. Food arrived quick, was hot and tasty 5/5.

The reason I am giving 3 stars is Thanuja. She made my day at this place. The service she provides is exceptional and the positive atmosphere made me leave with smile even though the food was quite bad, everything was reheated and nothing felt fresh. I came for the ramen, but it turned out is not available as half of the menu that day. On top of that the glass was really dirty with stains all over. Overall, Thanuja made me believe that I could visit this place again !

Firstly the main reason why I’m leaving this review is because of Tanuja. I’ve not experienced this level of service in a long time, she is the most kind, helpful and thorough waitress. This girl deserves a pay rise and promotion! Food was amazing value and tasty, we got the evening 2 course and drink deal for £12.95! I wish all restaurant experiences were like this. Thankyou, will definitely be returning!

Had to give one star as it won't let you give none, we used to love going here for a treat everything was brilliant, but since COVID and after it's gone right down the drain, me and my daughter went too give it another go it was a Monday as they used to do blue plate Mondays but we couldn't see any advertising for it, so we decided to wait and ask there seemed to be only one person working who kept walking past us and didn't even acknowledge that we were there we waited for 15 minutes but gave up as we were still ignored, so I would advise people to give it a very wide berth we definitely not be back.

It was valentine's day so I booked a table for two at the Thai restaurant of my choice I've used two or three times per year...i asked for a table inside the restaurant within the booking process when pre booking as I didn't want people looking at our food in the outside tables area. Our table was just within the restaurant from the outside tables area. I wanted that Thai authentic feeling where I was surrounded by old Thai signage, tools and pictures not of Five Guys and people walking past glancing in. The partners choice was unavailable. My portion size seemed a bit smaller than last time I got this dish. I didn't really enjoy our visit at all. I didn't want to make any complaint or asked to be moved since it was our Valentine's meal. I thought by leaving no generous tip that it was justified. This was my poorest visit out of many excellent visits. On a plus...having been to Thailand 25 plus times visiting my work colleague the food tastes exactly the same as it does in Thailand....just 3 or 4 times the price.

Set amongst an array of rubbish chain restaurants, Thaikhun is always our go-to restaurant when we visit the Metro Centre. Although they do have more than one location, the food never feels like the generic pre-packed chain restaurants. We visit this restaurant at least once a month and the food is always lovely.

Service is slow, they take forever to sit you down, then barely check up on you, and finally takes even longer for them to take payment. Also they add a service charge of 7.5% without any prior mention of it or any mention of it at the time of payment. They just show you the order and say is this all correct and then when you get your receipt emailed it shows they’ve taken the service charge which is quite sneaky

Visited for lunch with my daughter. I had the chicken satay starter and my daughter had the pork ribs - both delicious. For mains I tried the Singapore noodles whilst she had the prawn street noodles. Absolutely amazing food, couldn’t fault it. Servers could be a bit more attentive and look like they want to serve you though, maybe even smile!

I used to love Yo Sushi but visited last week and their new ordering system is awful. Scan the QR code and then order online, have to pay online and they add a service charge but you are basically serving yourself. We looked at the menu, but usually we take the plates off the conveyer belt of things we like the look of and then get more if we are still hungry. With the new way of ordering you have to know in advance how much you will eat. I’m not sure if there’s an option for people who don’t have smart phones or can pay online! Just to update as of September 2023, it is much better now they are using the conveyor belts again. Only thing is they still don’t take cash payments which is not fair on people who don’t have cards.

since the restaurant opened a few years back, we have visited quite frequently whether it be to dine in or take away and usually found our experience to be quite good, we hadn’t visited in a while so we thought we’d treat ourselves this weekend and go for some nice thai food, as we were celebrating a birthday. we pre booked a table and and were shocked to find that the place had gone down hill massively since our last visit. we were greeted a the door quite coldly by one member of staff who took us over to our table, she dumped the menus and took herself off. when we sat down we realised that our table was filthy and covered with remains of food from the previous people sat at the table. our table was also wobbly and we tried multiple times to catch passing members of staff to ask them if we could possibly move tables however no one ever seemed to stop. not wanting to make a fuss and just carry on, we had to do our best to wipe the table down with tissues and then fix the table leg ourselves. after 15 minutes of waiting we had a very rude young lady drag herself over to our table and say ‘you ready to order’. it was quite clear that she did not want to talk to us and couldn’t even be bothered to make eye contact with us or even look up at us when we were talking to her, she made us feel as if us being there was nothing but a hassle for her. we ordered our food, she finished writing it down and walked off, with nothing to say to us. as i watched around the room i noticed that it wasn’t just us who was treated this way by this particular staff member, but everyone else too. our food was then served by another woman who was just as rude as the first. she brought our food over and just dumped each dish on the end of the table. she didn’t ask who ordered what, and didn’t stop to ask if we needed anything else. if she did, she would have realised that we didn’t even have cutlery to eat our food with. we had to sit with our food on the table and try and stop members of staff passing by to say them for cutlery. when we finally managed to stop someone, we were given a tin that contained two spoons and a fork (there was three of us all eating noodles) by this point we realised that no one was going to come back over so we had to take it upon ourselves to go other to another table and take cutlery from there. we ate our food and it was okay, nothing to write home about. while we ate no one came over to check on us, no one asked us if we needed anything, we were just left to eat, which is fine. however when we finished we sat for a good 20 - 30 minutes with plates on our table, this was the case for other tables too we noticed. the first member of staff came back to the table and said ‘you done?’ and started clearing the table, she didn’t ask if we wanted anything else or anything like that just picked up the plates and tried to take herself off before we would speak to her. as she was clearing we asked her for the bill. we waited for a while and then she came back with our bill, which was practically thrown at us, so we asked her for the card machine because by this point we just wanted to get out of there. we watched her as she walked off and started serving other people, she didn’t go to get the card machine, she didn’t speak to any other members of staff, she just went off and started dining something else. we sat for another 10 - 15 minutes and tried to catch other staff members to ask to pay but each time we tried, we were met with no response. by this point it was plainly obvious we were being ignored. we had had enough so we had to just get up and walk over to the till to ask a member of staff if we could pay. we spoke to a man who we assume is the manager, he asked us about our experience and we told him we hadn’t really enjoyed our visit. he was very polite and seemed genuinely interested in what had happened to make us feel this way. he was very apologetic so we paid and left. coming from someone who also works in hospitality i understand that it can be stressful and busy periods can be tough, however the service in this place is just horrible. and it wasn’t just us, we watched as multiple people around us had to ask for cutlery, ask for things that had been missing from their order, asking for drinks that never came. some even got up and left. we felt unwelcome, and that our presence was nothing but a nuisance to the staff. for the size of the restaurant and the amount of staff they had working that day, the treatment of the customers was completely unwarranted and quite frankly unacceptable, and for that reason we won’t be returning. may i suggest that whoever is in charge here gives their staff a good talking to and perhaps give them some lessons in good customer service, because from what i can see from previous reviews this has been an ongoing thing.

Terrible service and grim food. First of all no Thai beer available, only available beer was bottles of heiken. First Sharing starter wasnt available the alternative was tastless, the Thai green curry resembled soup and the street noodles were under cooked.Nobody asked how the meal was. Had to ask for knives and was given a steak knife for starters.No serving cutlery for the mains. The place wasn’t busy but tables next to us weren’t cleared for over 30 mins. Even though there was plenty of staff. Visited here a few years ago and highly rated it. The place seems to have gone down hill. Wont be returning.

came here for lunch and after about 10 minutes of waiting we finally got our orders taken after going up to a waiter and asking. the waiter got our order wrong twice, didn’t give us our starter (cracker things) at the end STILL tried to charge us for it. had to repeat our order a dozen times because she kept bringing us the wrong things even tho we were very clear with our order and even pointed on the menu for her. one meal was ready 20 minutes before the other and was cold by the time it was brought to us. asked to speak to a manager and nobody came. also asked for some tap water and got completely ignored - waited 20 minutes for it (still nothing) before getting fed up and asked for the bill. as i said they didn’t give us our prawn crackers and it was still on the receipt. we debated walking straight out. food was mid, pork was dry, service was absolutely awful. for the price we paid it was extortionate, the food was served on practically a side plate and it was a small portion. the meals basically looked like starters and wasn’t fulfilling. didn’t get the waiters name but we should have - she should NOT be working there. the restaurant had maybe 6 people in at a time so for the amount we waited it was an absolute piss take.

We come here a lot, but today was special as I'd passed my final exams. Lucy made it really special as I got an espresso martini on the house as it was recently my birthday too! For fold we got the vegan pinto sharer, had this at least 6 times and it's always amazing! Will definitely be back again, thanks Lucy!

This used to be a favourite restaurant. Just had a meal and it’s has gone SO downhill. Food is massively more expensive and disgusted that a small bowl of rice adds 4.50 to your bill. The wrong tea came (asked for green tea and got sent some cold snot coloured stuff with whipped cream). Main meals sizes were tiny -literally came on a. Side plate. Noodles were cooked in old burnt oil and tasted foul. Asked for chilli oil to try and cover taste. It didn’t come. Asked again and got sweet chilli sauce. Will absolutely not come back. 3 people, no alcohol or soft drinks, left hungry. Best part of sixty pounds.

Ordered online to collect at 2pm. Arrived at 2pm, advised a member of staff I had an order to collect, showed my order confirmation and provided my order number. This seemed to mean absolutely nothing and I was asked what I’d ordered. I was told it wasn’t ready yet but would be ready soon. While I was waiting a deliveroo driver also arrived to collect an order and was completely ignored for 20 minutes. Again, when he gave the order number it was met with a blank stare and he was asked what he’d ordered, despite him clearly having a deliveroo bag. After waiting for 30 minutes I asked for an update on the order and was asked again what I’d ordered. I was then told my order had never been received. Again I showed the confirmation and the order number. I was asked for a third time what I’d ordered. By this time my patience was wearing thin. I was then asked to look in the fridge where they have pre-prepared boxes to take-away and see if there was one the same as what I’d ordered, which there was. I was told to just take one of these… I certainly won’t be returning.

We used to love coming here but it’s definitely decreased in every aspect. Visited today no drinks on draft, no problem choose from what was available from What the server listed to us. My daughter was given a children’s activity menu however no pens / crayons to complete the activity sheet with. Tried to order starters what we wanted wasn’t available, ordered mains no egg fried rice available! My husband then enquired with the waiting staff what alternative drinks were available as he knew that Diet Coke wasn’t an option, rather than assisting with a menu, he was told everything else - how on earth were we meant to know what was available. Food came which was nice but then my daughter wanted another drink ordered waited and waited and waited asked two members of staff where her drink was eventually arrived. Then to top it off my husband went to the toilet, toilets were very much below standard to cleanliness and the lock fell off the toilet door. Come on basic customer service and cleanliness I would hope would be a standard requirement. Going out for a family meal is a treat and not a cheap treat !

Bought a cookery lesson for a friends birthday, the booking process was easy and when we were unable to attend our date they were more than helpful in changing it. On arrival we were greeted by Annie who was really lovely we were given a drink and a few minutes later we were shown to our cookery station. The lady who took over from Annie was amazing she was helpful, informative and talked us through every process as well as an educational lesson on the food which was really interesting. Once we had cooked our starter of spring rolls we could sit and eat them or take them home, we then started on our second course of Thai red curry the same process applied and once finished we sat down to eat, there was lots of photo opportunities and we were offered drinks throughout all in all an amazing 2hr experience which we all said we would definitely do again

Terrible food. Cold and flavourless. Rice was just hopeless, hard and dense. We’ve had sushi and I’ll never return there. Yes, they are cooking there and it’s supposed to be fresh, but veggies like from fridge or from box with ice, my teeth were in pain.

Not the best yo sushi. Through no fault of their own there is no hob on this yo kitchen, so there is a lot of things off the menu... But they still use the normal menu no indication or warning that there is less options. Also the app doesn't work for ordering so you can't collect points either... At Thai point you might as well go and find one of the local independent sushi places.... That all being said the staff were friendly and what I had wasn't the freshest but was nice. It was a shame there was none of the typical "yo yo yo" or "washing machine" being played around the belts, it was missed.

have been here many times and the standard is super high! Generous portions and excellent value for money. Reading the last review I was thrilled. The lady had a shock from a pair of gloves, I can't stop laughing, honestly. Ma'am, yours is a purely ethical choice in not eating animals. It is neither an intolerance nor an allergy so you and your husband can rest assured that no one died. Giving 1 star to a place that does their best to meet alternative choice to the usual for a pair of gloves is truly idiotic. I state that I have been vegeterian for 10 years now and when I read such nonsense I am ashamed to tell people that we have the same diet. Do everyone a favor and stay at home to eat salad.

Me and my husband have just visited Yo sushi metro centre. We are both vegan and enjoy the plant based vegan menu. Today has been really shocking for us, I watched the lady chef whom was working in front of us preparing dishes and used the same gloves to prepare raw fish dishes and then prepare our plant based vegan dishes!? I am in absolutely shock, is this normal practice? Surely gloves should be changed when preparing a vegan dish? This has really upset me, I did not say anything as there was very little staff and I am not usually a complainer but this is not right to me. Can you please let me know what the protocol is when chefs are dealing with vegan plant based dishes?

All change since last visit with everything done through online menu and ordering/payment (though menus and staff taking orders did seem to be an option). The food is still excellent, though no calamari. Would still prefer the old belt and easier ordering of more food/drink, such as taking card details but not payment till finished.

Visited today for lunch! Amazing atmosphere, very friendly and chatty staff and a lot of options to choose from. If you ever find yourself there you have to try the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Salmon Teriyaki. Definitely going back in the future!
