Really missing my favorite Thai restaurant! It's been temporarily closed for 12 weeks now, and it used to be my go-to Friday night dinner spot. The staff are always super friendly, the atmosphere is super laid-back, and I can't get enough of their tofu pad thai and tofu green curry – both amazing! Prices are wallet-friendly. If you're in Stokey, it's a must-visit. Fingers crossed they reopen soon!

Perfect. Except for the rice, which was a little overdone, but when the rest is this good, it really doesn't matter.

This place has authentic Thai food that is very delicious. They were very accommodating for shellfish and nut allergies and they made sure we didn’t eat the authentic curry that has shrimp inside. The service was very friendly and food arrived within ten minutes.

I really enjoyed this Thai restaurant! It’s hard to find great quality Thai food in London for good value, but this is a real gem in the area with a large range of dishes. Highly recommend!

Food is pretty poor. Not sure why its rating is so high. Over cooked veg in dishes, cheap meat and tastes pretty bad.

We ordered a chicken red curry but the chicken didn't have any taste of the sauce. It was mostly like sandwich chicken you buy from the supermarket. So shame, as the sauce was nice. Pad Thai was good.

I love Thai food. Found this place randomly and ordered a tofu massaman. It was utterly delicious. The butternut squash absorbed the flavour so well! And the tofu was 🤌. YUMMY. Lovely restaurant with a really calm vibe and cute decorations.

My sister and I went to see a play at Tower Theatre on Northwold Road, Stoke Newington, London N16. When we left we were looking for somewhere to go eat. I jokingly said how about the Thai cafe over the road. She said ok. It’s actually a cafe restaurant. We looked at the menu in the window and decided to go in. Price is reasonable. It’s cosy and intimate, clean and fresh. We ordered and didn’t have to wait long for our food which was presented well and piping hot. Oh my goodness. The food is amazing. Bursting with flavour & colour, cooked to perfection (no soggy veg.) I’ve had Thai before but this tops them all Staff were clean and polite. I definitely, definitely recommend a visit if your in the area. They also do take out and delivery. Oh yeah. I plan to visit again

Delicious, flavourful and spicy! I enjoy heat, but not extreme. The Pad Cha and Green curry were close to the max heat I can handle - good for colds and cold nights and clearing noses! Generous with the veg and no ridiculously inedible Thai aubergines! Paneng was yummy, the salt and pepper squid was good portion size, hot, crispy and moreish. I love the corn fritters, crunchy and chewy with fresh, unique sweet chilli sauce, with a hint of lemongrass and I am sure, rose water—WOW! My first time to try them, and I think they are good competition for YumYum. Will definitely order again.

They’ve recently changed the jungle curry recipe and it’s really upset me as I was utterly obsessed with the old recipe and I know this because I eat it all of the time and in the space of a week it changed! Other than that food is great but I won’t keep ordering the jungle curry until the recipe has been changed back

I found the food to be average. It tasted ok but nothing memorable. Big portion sizes so you will be satisfied. I was hoping more from a Thai restaurant especially with the spices and flavours they usually use. I was quite disappointed.

Unfortunately there are new owners and new chef - No longer authentic thai cuisine. very disappointing. food was ok but not thai. more like a chinese restaurant trying to cook thai dishes. Gutted as loved the little old lady there and the food was always fresh and tasty! Why is is so difficult to find a decent thai place round here?!

It is small & homely. The food is really good. The wine list could be better. Though not in keeping with Thai culture the jazz music allowed conversation to flow.

We decided to try this place as we live almost next door and have been intrigued by the good reviews. Sad to say that the nearly 5 stars on Google Maps is undeserved. The food is very much mediocre although reasonably priced. The day we visited (Friday night) the service (albeit friendly) was incredibly slow. It wasn't busy but for some reason our mains took about an hour(!) to arrive. We went in wanting a quick meal but in the end had to wait for 1.5 hours.

Very disappointed after reading through the great reviews and deciding to go. The mix shared starters had one small dipping bowl for two people and the chicken was dry and rubbery. The Pad Thai I ordered wasn't great (lacked flavour and I tasted the egg more than any other ingredient) and the chicken was dry in this too. My husband ordered the chicken green Thai curry and liked it. The wait time is long (as others have mentioned), which probably made the whole experience worse with not enjoying the food. Even though the place is small, it got very loud with all the voices vibrating off the walls. I wouldn't go back.

This place has amazing food and staff. It is true authentic Thai food served in a small authentic and honest setting. Green curry and Pad-See-Ew noodles are incredible, and there are too many good items to name. Don't let the simple exterior setting fool you, this place is true food. If you want real Thai food, this is the place to go!

Disappointing. The service was very slow (at least 45 mn to get served) although we ordered simple meals; a pad thai which was too sweet and the noodles and prawns were overcooked. My boyfriend's rice was dry and the beef portion he ordered was very small...

I've been going to Thai cafe regularly for years now and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it's my favourite restaurant around. The simple decor is a welcome relief from other glitzy Thai eateries nearby, but I can see how others could find it a little 'tired' looking. What it lacks in fine furnishings, it makes up for in charm though, and on a rainy, cold November evening there's nothing more comforting than being greeted by a warm smile from the delightful lady that owns this little gem. On a busy night, you can expect to wait a little longer than in other restaurants, not that you mind though, as having brought your own booze you can relax knowing what's to come. The food is superb. And very well priced. Just remember to leave a little space for the silky smooth home made ice cream. There's a good range of vegetarian choices as well as meaty ones, and all the usual starters you'd expect. I could recommend so many dishes, but the Thai red curry is top drawer - pants and socks.... And the Moo Pad Graprao (apologies for the spelling?!) has the perfect mix of spices. Despite not living in the area anymore we often travel to N16 just to head to Thai cafe, and we'll be doing so as long as we're in London. If you're a large group in suits and high heels looking for a glitzy, slick birthday meal then perhaps Thai Cafe is not the place for you. Those looking for a top quality, affordable, quiet, relaxed time shouldn't have any doubts whether to give it a try or not. You may have just found your new favourite restaurant.

Like so many we hadn't dined out in a long time and my clever husband suggested to sulky me a mid-week local pick-us-up treat. I can only say wow. We loved Ceres when we last visited in 2019 but the tasting menu tonight with matched wines was out of this world and a steal at the price. Deservedly Michelin-recognised cuisine with such a friendly and professional face (just two young women currently run the whole outfit including single handedly chef-ing and wonderful front of house). Ceres is walking distance for us and we are grateful because it is a destination-grade restaurant. Fine dining for £48pp.

Laura has created the most welcoming and fun atmosphere in this sweet boutique Italian bakery. The coffee was so good we had to hold back from ordering a third! We ate the scrambled eggs with parmesan and it was 10/10 delicious. London needs more authentic places like this!

More like Gross Burger. Patty was extremely unlikely to be wagyu, and was more akin to a supermarket or fairground van quality patty. All the flavours were a bit off and the chips were overly oily, yet it still managed to be expensive. Place was empty so obviously others agree that this place is no good. The 4.5 stars review average aare a complete mystery and point to lots of fake reviews. Avoid.

We came to the Muddy Puddle last night to spin a few records, to be honest, but we couldn't bring ourselves to leave. Ben and Phoebe have made the perfect local venue with a very laid-back but positive atmosphere. Between the buzzing bar upstairs, beautiful back garden, and intimate live music area downstairs, there are plenty of comfy corners for conversation/hanging out. The coffee was exquisite, the food looks excellent (we haven't eaten there, YET), but what totally make it stand out is the unique energy and personalities of the owners which permeate the place. If I lived nearby this would be my favourite haunt. Our (totally unsolicited) verdict: 11/10!
