The food was delicious and great service. The restaurant is nicely decorated.

The Tom Yum soup was really good, but the fried rice was dry and lacked flavour. Also, they charge you for takeaway food container, for food you’ve already paid for, without telling you that there’s a charge, which I found strange. This was on top of the service fee.

Amazing meal here for my birthday. We ordered the sharing platter starter, prawn panang, beef Southern Thai stir fry and both jasmine and sticky rice to share (no pictures of that as I was so excited to start eating it tbh). Boyfriend hadn't mentioned it was my birthday when booking but the staff found out and brought out a cake free of charge with candles for us both to share. A lovely touch to round off an awesome meal. The service was impeccable and attentive, lovely decor and atmosphere, authentic food. Cannot fault the staff or the restaurant at all. Will definitely be back! Thank you so much ☺️

Decided to take my wife on an anniversary lunch and decided on this restaurant. A beautiful authentic decorated thai interior and a good selection on the lunch menu. Service was very good with excellent polite friendly staff, the food was delicious and authentic, I would happily return here again, and I would happily recommend this restaurant. Whether you have had Thai food before or not I’m sure you would enjoy it, I’ve had Thai food before but believe me this place is up there with the best

Unfortunately the food was very disappointing and left me and my partner feeling unwell the next day. The Tom yum soup was watery with cabbage and flavourless. Very cheaply cooked food with poor quality of ingredients.

The food was delicious and steaming hot when it arrived. We’d preordered early in the day for 8.15pm, it arrived closer to 9pm.

Original delivery time was between 8 and 820 then changed to 9 and 930. Expensive for how little food was delivered.

Food, service and ambiance were fantastic. Really recommend.

Cold and soggy literally got it in the oven to make it remotely warm and edible £40 down the drain

Piping hot good quality tasty food. The green curry sauce is a little thin but was soaked up nicely by the jasmine rice. Will definitely order again.

It was a nice experience. The taste of the food was great and had no complaints at all. The atmosphere was better than I expected, and the decor inside was nice and cosy. I recommend it.

We went for dinner tonight food and service was brilliant highly recommended. They spotted it was our son’s birthday and brought out a cake which was a lovely surprise. We left some birthday cards on the table by mistake with money inside and the waiter kindly chased us up the street to return them to us. Thank you for a lovely evening and for your kindness.

Just had a delivery from Thai Boran . What an absolute disaster !! Terrible tasting food , not authentic and will not be returning! The food we have had in the restaurant in comparison to ordering from them feels very different. The Massaman curry was very much like a less hot Thai red curry and the Seafood dish was not tasty and contained a single half a mussel. The curries were not to our liking.

Ordered on Deliveroo and had issues as they hadn’t updated the ingredients in massaman and I have an allergy. I was immediately refunded and when I called the restaurant , the lovely owners daughter did all she could to make amends. The owner herself came and dropped off a fresh massaman and rice (peanut free lol) and the food was absolutely delicious. Very fresh , lots of meat and just like the curry I had in Thailand I so loved. Thank you to this kind establishment for making amends. I will definitely be ordering here again

Very deserving of all its many awards! I had the whole steamed sea bass. It was lovely. As a Chinese person, I must say - Asians steam a good fish 😌 it was perfectly flakey, with some fatty parts near the skin which melt in your mouth. The fish was not over cooked at all, which is what usually happens when I eat out. The vegetables were perfect and it wasn't too spicy thankfully as the server asked for the spice level I wanted (medium). The sea bass was so good I ordered two bowls of rice!! I was very happy and very full.

We waited close to two hours with no communication from staff or drink refills etc. When the food finally came it tasted ok but we both immediately didn’t feel very well. It then took forever to get the bill and we had to go to the front to pay. The nail in the coffin was they included gratuity and didn’t tell us so we ended up paying extra for this terrible service. Don’t waste your time here.

Ordered some starters and mains. The starters came quick enough but the mains took one hour thirty mins to come. By this point everyone was getting hungry and we were all getting tired and grumpy. Once we finished we ordered a mango and sticky rice for dessert and it took ten mins for the staff to get back to us. When we reminded the staff, they told us it was coming but we had to wait twenty minutes to get it. It was a shame as the food was ok and the staff were quite nice but we were in a rush.

Amazing food and lots of it for £20, lots things to look at on the walls /ceiling , the waiter was new so that kind of took away from the overall experience but we will return , 😋

Sticky rice portion is embarrassing, not even a 5th of a takeaway tub. The jungle curry is more of a watery soup, no curry aspect if it extremly bland no flavour.

Excellent food & value with great service

Four of us dined here on Saturday night. We had the Taste Thai set menu, and an extra order of Pla Pae Sa, the spicy sea bass. Starters were served promptly after some complimentary prawn crackers. The portions were generous and everything tasted delicious. There was a nice gap before the mains, and again every dish was superb - although we agreed the highlight was probably just the beef massaman curry. The extra sea bass was exactly as promised - spicy but cooked to perfection and tasted incredible. All the staff were polite and attentive and overall it was an excellent evening, and we will certainly be back.

Service with a smile! We recently picked up the sharing platter for two; it was delicious, and the perfect amount of food for lunch for the two of us. I was greeted with a smile, and given a 10% discount and free prawn crackers (+ unexpected salad). Although it was a takeaway, I did see how nice (and clean) the inside of the restaurant looked. I have no complaints and hope to visit again. Five stars from me :)

Used to love this place and one of my fav dishes was the basil tofu stir fry. I'm not sure why they changed it but it is furiously hot now, to the point where I can barely eat it. I could taste the basil before. Now, all i taste is burning.

Food was fantastic, no quibbles with the quality or temperature. Delivery time was atrocious unfortunately. Order was placed at 18:30 to be delivered at 20:00. Food didn’t arrive until 20:40. 1hr30mins is plenty of time to get an order ready for a specific drop off time

The best Thai food ever. The meal was amazing, fresh and tasty. You can tell the food is prepared fresh and served hot. The owners are super friendly and very welcoming.

Hardly any meat in the curry, one dish just didn’t arrive so there wasn’t enough food for us, the rice portion was tiny and the prawn crackers weee Chinese not Thai, and it was a tiny portion too! Extremely disappointed especially considering the cost! Will not be ordering from here again.

It's a nice little place but the service last night was beyond a joke. We were waiting for 2 hours before we finished our main meal. There was 30 mins from ordering before our starter and an hour from starter to main coming out. The food was ok but my chefs special wasn't anything special. The massaman curry was a beautiful dish though.

Food arrived very cold, everything had to be reheated which may or may not have contributed to the poor quality. Why would anyone try to deliver hot food from town to Allestree on a push bike on a damp windy day and expect it to still be warm. Not impressed at all.

Dropped in Saturday around 6pm to see if they had a table for two. I use a wheelchair so they opened up another door with level access. We were shown to our table and ordered drinks and the mixed sharing platter as a starter. There was plenty for two with a good selection and was absolutely delicious. We were not hurried considering we hadn't booked and the restaurant soon filled up. The staff were very professional and attentive, checking we were happy with everything we ordered. I ordered the spicy jungle curry which was very hot, my partner ordered a chicken rice dish. We were both really happy with our meals. They were very tasty, served hot and well presented. Couldn't fault anything and hope to return again soon.

We stumbled upon this cosy restaurant on our drive back to Nottingham from a Saturday hike in the Derbyshire dales. It was lunchtime, and very busy, but every effort was made to help us get a table. We were made aware of wait times, which wasn't an issue for us. We actually got served our lunch within 10 minutes of ordering. Perfect flavours, wholesome food, lovely cosy atmosphere. Definitely coming again! ❤️

It was my 50th birthday yesterday and as Thai Holy Basil is an absolute favourite of mine, there was only one place in Derby to be. Service was fab, food was delicious and I'm not sure how they knew it was my birthday, but at the end, out came a dessert complete with (thankfully just 1!) candle and a rendition of happy birthday. Such a great meal and experience. We will be back on Saturday! Thank you for a lovely night

Went for a casual Wedding Anniversary lunch with my husband and we will definitely return! The food was tasty, plentiful, and great value. And they surprised us with a complimentary pudding! Highly recommend visiting this little hidden gem.

It was our first visit to Thai Boran today and it did not disappoint. We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome and seated quickly. We ordered drinks whilst deciding what to eat. Our order consisted of Thai Boran Platter, Som Tum Thai, Pad Thai, Thai Green Curry and Jasmine Rice...Our meal was delicious, full of flavour and generous portion sizes. The restaurant itself is authentic in decor and has a cosy vibrant feel, along with warm friendly and attentive staff. All in all a fantastic experience and we can not wait to be back. Would 100% recommend Thai Boran.

Shocking service constantly from them always kept waiting for delivery so if you want an efficient delivery don't order from here as there attitude is rubbish

Lovely good, authentic, tasty, worth the price

Me and my boyfriend visited this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and as I love Thai food it was a must! The pad Thai was to die for and the presentation of the food was incredible. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the service was amazing. I even was surprised with all of the staff singing happy birthday and bringing out such a sweet lil cake which was delicious! I honestly cried happy tears from the amazing kindness. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

These are the locations I love. A little Thai restaurant located down a side street. Not much fanfare but excellent food. Admittedly, I went with a simple dish. I had the Pad Thai with chicken. I know this is a common dish at all Thai restaurants but the chef at Thai Boran did a great job with seasoning the noodles with the chicken and vegetables. Great service. Very cosy atmosphere. Food was wonderful! Huge portions for the price. Service was absolutely 10/10. Atmosphere was perfect balance of busy but not so loud you can’t hear the rest of your party. The highlight is the staff - absolutely wonderfully attentive and so friendly and fun. Best restaurant I’ve ever been in Derby.

Really disappointed. Not the first time either, thought I’d give them another go after the chicken was so dry last time, but it was just very watery, there was absolutely no depth to it yet it was over spiced. Wasn’t even soup consistency, more of a drink.

I haven’t had the chance to eat in, but I have ordered from here as a takeaway. The food is delicious, and the presentation of certain dishes (pad Thai, larb salad) is very well thought out, with a nice touch of carved fruit and veg flowers. I have ordered from here a few times and I look forward to coming to eat in store one day!

Great place to eat and relax, the food was amazing and the staff so friendly. Prices are in my opinion reasonable and affordable, food is always freshly cooked no matter what you choose which makes for good eating in my eyes. I don’t eat anything too hot, and here you can choose and adjust how hot you have your food as not to be too spicy 🌶️ I’d highly recommend this restaurant and give a 5 star ⭐️ rating on all aspects from start to finish. I won’t hesitate to return in the future

We found the food very poor quality, especially at the price paid. It is not as good as it used to be when in the premises further up Green Lane and even a year ago at lunch time it was better. We had green curry but not much flavour, just a green sauce with bean shoots. No fresh coriander, aubergine or onion. The rice was very stodgy. Pina colada mocktail smelled very strange and had a hint of cheese. Very expensive for what we got - discount given for paying cash but a similar sized service charge applied. We won't be eating here in future and the staff will understand why.

Well worth a visit, really fantastic food in a nice atmosphere!
