Tesco Cafe Holyhead in Isle of Anglesey

Usually food is acceptable today 10 November 2023 I ordered fish and chips and peas chips were good peas acceptable fish was horrible and under cooked batter ok 🎏 fish was hard especially middle part Caffe staff had no interest at all spoken to duty Manager Tom who told me that the store and Caffe are different identity and could not be bothered to do anything for customer satisfaction Very disappointed that Tesco has no appreciation for regular customer to be cared for. Will not eat there never again and I urge people to keep away and dine at Morrisons or Standing Stones nearby where you will get properly cooked food and your custom appreciated.

Went here after a absolute nightmare of a experience in morrisons, Was easy to get a seat and staff were friendly, 2 breakfasts and 2 pots of tea for £15 , food was spot on , Only criticism was you didn’t get much on your plate.

We visited the cafe today I ordered “Posh beans on toast” supposed to come on sourdough bread toasted and a poached egg on top. Also ordered sourdough toast with avocado. When the meals arrived they really were a disappointment instead of sourdough toast we were given ordinary white sliced totally not what we expected it really looked awful as you will see from the photos. I did mention it to the server who apologised saying we should have been told that the cafe could not get Sourdough bread and hadn’t been able to get any for months, although whilst shopping we found lots of sourdough bread in the bakery????? Very disappointed with this Tesco you really need to do better. Don’t advertise and sell something and then provide something different without an explanation. We would definitely have chosen something different from the menu. The cappuccino’s however were good.

We popped in for a coffee and a bit of breakfast / lunch , we ordered the breakfast eggs and chorizo and rocket on sourdough bread. At no time during the order and food being delivered to our table that tescos don’t serve sourdough bread anymore . So we were given the cheaper option of normal cheap white bread , which was changed to brown bread for my good lady . The food was tasty but the main ingredient was sourdough bread.

it was 2 o’clock and i was standing in the queue 3 people in front of me were aloud hot food not my family because there was just a normal employee cooking but he wasn’t the chef the other employee said to us so why was he aloud to cook for other people and not the rest???

The place is filthy! Absolute joke. Food everywhere, used cutlery. The token wipe down of tables leaving half the previous debris on the table will not be attending again. When staff informed he replied yes we have had a big family in. Oh that’s ok then

Don’t even try to visit Tesco in Holyhead if you have a motor home. The car parks all have height barriers. Fair enough for the multi storey but even the handful of spaces outside the multi storey are behind a height barrier. Morrisons is just up the road with no height barriers. Give them your business.

A modest breakfast of egg, bacon, sausage, beans, tomato, hash browns and fried bread for well under £5. As an old man it was all I needed to set me up for the day. I enjoyed the food, and I enjoyed the price. I even treated the wife !

Drove over from Benllech for a costa only to find out they don't sell costa, thats not what the website said.

Decided to try the Tesco cafe as we were fed up of our usual. Well what a surprise. Made to feel so welcome as if we had been coming in for years. All staff seemed happy in their jobs and this came across in abundance. Plenty of choice. Extremely clean and lovely hot food at a reasonable price. Will definitely return. Well worth a try if you haven’t been before.

Great cafe, staff were all friendly, the scone was lovely and fresh. Great value for money. It was quiet in the cafe but seems as though it may have been busy prior to our arrival as the tables were a bit mucky. Nevertheless, lovely cafe

brill place to stop of for a drink before or after shopping and with free wi-fi you can use.we found it Ideal as my wife is in a wheelchair and there was plenty of room also with it being on the upper floor the lift was very handy. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It wasn’t very busy and food was ok . The coffee barista machine wasn’t very clean. The young girl made the coffees and the stem was covered with dry milk where after steamed had not been cleaned. Noticing after our coffees were done she didn’t wipe or clean it then either. Dread to think how long it stayed there. Food was ok.

Loving the modern decor , smiling staff , lovely cafe lattes and a cheese and ham toastie with a mini breakie. Excellent VFM

1st time been here , lovely milky latte coffees , nice ambiance, friendly attentive staff , good menu

The cafe is small in comparison with other supermarket cafes which I visit but very good service from friendly helpful staff', good basic food and inexpensive. I was enroute to my ferry boat and found this a useful resting point instead of sitting in a queue at the terminal. I will bear this cafe in mind for all future trips.

It's ok to pop in and grab something to eat or drink. Nice clean cafe, reasonable prices and nice hot coffee, not Luke warm. Food is good as well.

Fine for a tea or coffee and quick snack. Don't expect any ambience, good wifi, clean can be noisy. Staff friendly but not very organised. Good price

Very good value but staff don't do much work they need to work together more. Nise food but when I go there are always empty cups and plates on tables from other customers.But best toasties in Holyhead. Bowl of chips are tiny know and they don't do chip baps any more.

Lovely store, nice friendly staff but PLEASE get some toilet cleaners, it really lets the store down

Just called in for a cuppa with my family. Service was very slow. As we collected our drinks we turned around to find there were very few customers bit every table was filled with the dirty cups and plates of previous customers. The staff were not busy, they chatted with customers and each other but did nt think to clear the tables. It was disgraceful.

Viajando a través de unos artículos y necesiten. Mientras allí decidimos tener un bocado rápido y una taza de té. Realmente nos sorprendió gratamente el excelente servicio y la calidad de la comida. Todo el personal parecía estar muy felices de hacer su trabajo. He pagado mucho más por un coste considerablemente inferior.

Hoy llamado en una tostada, no té un buen comienzo ya que las mesas estaban llenas de sucio tazas vacías un platos. Mientras espera a lugar nuestra orden nos ignorado por personal, entiendo que estaban ocupados, pero un simple hola o estará con usted en un minuto es suficiente.

since tescos got rid of there own vcafes the food and the value are not as good, it use to be made fresh now its ready and often been ready for a while, i just use it now for a drink the prices also went up when the changed.

If you only need a snack to tide you over, well then this is good for just that, the staff are very friendly and are more than happy to help.

We ate here because we'd been out all day and just couldn't be bothered going anywhere else. The service was shocking and the food was average. We should've bought microwave meals instead.

Paramos en Tesco en el camino para coger el ferry a Irlanda para llenar con gasolina para el coche y vino para nosotros. Una caja de vino de Tesco en el Reino Unido es 14 libras, el mismo vino en Tesco es de más de 28 Euros.

Soy un visitante frecuente a este bastante café. Tengo que decir que mi pareja y yo disfrutamos de nuestro desayuno. Muy sabroso y el café Costa para satisfacer bajó muy bien. Tesco podría hacer más personal sin embargo. Muchos de los clientes con personal muy poco era evidente. Volveremos muy pronto.

Visitamos la última sábado por la tarde justo antes hicimos una tienda en una tienda muy concurrida y popular. Sirve enseguida, así que pedimos 2 queso y cebolla tostados! El servidor masculino era muy agradable y nos preguntó si nos gustaría una porción de patatas fritas, pero rechazamos, así nos preguntó si queríamos una ensalada y optamos por. La comida llegó rápidamente y, aunque bastante una comida básica realmente nos encantó! Fue una comida barata y alegre y sin duda volvería a su cafe!

No hay muchos supermercados tienen una cafetería costa. Estaba muy limpio y agradable para estar. Un buen añadido a nuestro viaje de compras

Boring menu, when you get past the disappointed look when you ask for a meal at 5.15 the staff are actually quite nice, place closes 6 pm. Meals are heat and serve and quite expensive for what you get. Closes too early, bring back tesco run cafes

my dad and I went in to Tesco café Holyhead and ordered 2 breakfast at 4.99 un awear the toast was 99p and the bacon was 65p hence extra, it does say that on the notice boad out side, plus the coffee was very naff made me thirsty, all in all not worth 20.94 p as we paid, I wont be goibg in to Tesco café here again as it was so cold as well.

Costa coffee took an age to prepare and we noticed this did produce long back-up queues.Staff didn't seem to care much and were slow to respond. Tables took a very long time to be cleared and cleaning did not seem terribly efficient or effective. The coffee was quite bland for what is said to be a premium brand.

Had a little spare time before the ferry departure. So decided on a all day breakfast at Tesco. Good food and reasonable price.

Popped in at teatime had freshly cooked scamp and chips and my partner had ham egg and chips very God value and hot and tasty

Visited for breakfast but found fried bread curled up and everything else appeared dried up. We went elsewhere.

We love Costa Launceston especially as the staff are so happy and helpful.The cafe is always spotless and very relaxing.The people there are a mixture of elderly and of young families and young people with there mates meeting up for a coffee..The young man who table clears, brings the food out and now and again makes the coffees is a joy,always a smile and will do anything for you.Obviously the staff are happy under the manager as they are so relaxed and always a smile for you.We love this Costa and rate it probably the nicest in the country.

Visited on way to Ireland this was our fifth visit to this store in the last couple of years.Breakfast well cooked and fresh every time we have visited, the staff are helpful and friendly and budget priced.There is a currency exchange in the store which is convenient for getting euros, you can even order on line for collection.

Food ok, but the staff were excellent. Visited for lunch and it was hot and plenty of it. It was pretty cheap.

Customer service is friendly and welcoming. Food is average but filling. Tables and chairs are clean and tidy and plenty of room and good supply of high chairs for babies and small children

We went there whilst waiting for a bus after shopping. The place was not busy, perhaps unusual, but the range of food on offer was good, and served nice and hot. A table at one end of the canteen gave a good birds eye view of the store, almost directly above the checkouts.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable.

Clean, passable canteen food served by lovely staff. Everything we had was hot but the coffees were particularly nice.

well not the best place it ok if you want a coffee however there was no clean tables to sit dawn. I placed some dirty plates and cups on the table behind me, so I could sit dawn. When my order came out I asked the person is anyone going to clean the tables as there about 6 tables that dirty and they don't worry there will be someone doing in a moment!, 20 minutes latter (finished my food and on 2nd cup coffee) the tables where still dirty nothing had been done I could see people turning away.

The costa coffee sign was reassuring and welcoming but that's where any positives ended. I ordered a cappuccino and toasted panini, you can see from the photo I've posted just how appetising the panini wasn't! In not sure if the jaunty angle at which the Panini lay on the plate was a creative decision made by a thrusting young chef or the consequence of a hand of staff who couldn't care less! Of course it could have been positioned to one side simple to accommodate the fresh & colourful salad garnish, which in that case means this dish was served with a severe case of 'air' salad garnish or am I the only one seeing it through the eyes of someone attending the coronation of the emperor with the new clothes! Either way forgetting how much more appealing it may have look with even the smallest effort on the garnish front, let me focus on the Panini itself. I do enjoy a toasted Panini and as I understand it the clue is in the word 'toasted' so why the staff had decided to 'nuke' it to within an inch of its life in a microwave baffles me to this day. Gingerly I risked second degree burns to opened it up for a glimpse inside, what I found was a couple of small pieces of cheese and something I think was a paper thin ham like product looking a truly sorry mess. I just couldn't eat it. I took it back to the counter and showed the staff, there was some shuffling and looking down at feet when I asked if it had actually been near a toaster in the preparation phase, in fairness I was given an apology and was also offered replacement or a refund, both of which I passed on. On the positive side a very Nice cup of costa coffee.

Great for breakfasts - One thing Tesco Cafes have over Morrisons Cafes, is that you can choose what and how many items you want, unlike Morrisons, where it is a set meal

Just for the hell of it here is my review , what can I say ......it's a cafe and its in the Tesco hypermarket .Just for double bubble if you like Tesco food you will love the cafe because all the food Is Tesco brand thru and thru .Normally this place is frequented by more men than women , because as we all know men are not good shoppers .But it is a great place to stop and the food choices are good value for money .
