Tesco Cafe in Merthyr Tydfil

I've ordered from just eat and I was missing items they only sent me 2 cans pop and no food I phoned Tesco and the staff was rude saying there nothing they can do

Popped into the cafe and I was served by Shelley what a lovely friendly lady and her manner was the same with every customer,my food was served within a minute and I had a lovely warm hot chocolate, the gentleman clearing tables was also efficient and did not stop, you could see both members of staff took pride in their work,this cafe has a very homely feel to it and you could see it was very popular.will call again if in the area

Breakfast with very dry beans, burnt toast, there is no cutlery and the last few times I tried to eat due to lack of options and they forgot what to order. This coffee shop was good a long time ago. They stop serving at 4pm… on the website it says 6pm with confirmation from 6 weeks ago….

I was faced with a very indifferent service. There was no care at all. The service quality was very low and the order I placed was wrong.

I’ve been hear a number of time , hoping every time is different , but each time I’m let down by the service I am provided , they are rude and when they have made a mistake, they usually do , there attitude is disgusting , won’t be coming here again !!!

They didn't shut until 6pm but they had switched off the kitchen for cleaning at 4.40p.m. and could offer no hot food. Also for long periods the staff were out the back such that at 4.15pm when I arrived I gave up on ordering anything until I saw them 25 minutes later. Had to make do with coffee, tea and shortbread. Sorry Tesco. Not good enough.

Burnt toast and cold overdone fried eggs for breakfast. Better off going to McDonald's.

Very poor Table was very dirty, I used a wipe and it was black Food looked like it had been left under a hot lamp for a long time The roll fell apart The posh beans on toast not so posh Had to wait for half an hour With out an apology 😉

Usual regulars to cafe at breakfast time. was a little late on Saturday, so just had tea and toast for 2 of us. Cost over £9.00! Usually pay around £14 for full breakfast and tea. To add insult to injury, the toast was hardly toasted and the butter was so hard it couldn’t be spread. Though I have to say, on a positive note, what saves this cafe is the lovely serving staff. But after todays experience will be going elsewhere.

Really nice place to quickly stop off and eat. Staff are friendly and quick service! Food for price is fantastic and cooked to perfection.

Avoid! 45m waiting time for 2 avocado toasts and waffles with bacon and maple syrup. By the time the food arrived the drinks were all cold. Was not for lack of staff since there were at least 5 workers there. To top it all up the food was nothing special...

Breakfast wasn't up to much and the service was really slow. Our coffe was poured while waiting in the queue and by the time out order was taken, the coffe had gone cold.

People or should I say kids who don't want to work should stay at home and give someone a chance of a job, terrible attitude on the staff just rubber stamped something.... won't be back

We always have liked Tesco cafe. The staff ( over the last three years that we have lived in Wales) have always been nice.Its no different now . They deserve recommendation !

The breakfast that was served was very nice with a nice variety of food on the meal, the coffee served was also very good I definitely recommend for families for a low cost and a childs play area, it is also in a convenient location being at the top of the escalator and on the same floor as the clothes

Being going there for a bit of brekkie after our early morning job for a couple of years now. Would do our shopping at the same time..until this morning that is. We put up with the one-sided toast(machine needs some attention - it barely toasts one side of the bread) but this morning after getting so little butter and jam with it we decided it was no longer value for money. We had effectively paid for 4 slices of dry bread and thats just not good enough. My wife ordered poached eggs on toast on one occasion which consisted of one hard poached egg on a slice of one-sided toast .. no butter mind, just a poverty-stricken egg on dry bread. We were told on more than one occasion that management could be like this but the staff always rectified it but now it seems that a different approach to dispensing the condiments has been introduced. Well.. its cost them in OUR patronage and may well with others.

Food very poor tiny portions and there was a hair in my daughters bacon sandwich.

Clean bright roomy cafe but slow and problems with till. Tables need clearing more often and more food choice needed.

Not much choice and portions are small Fish and chips £6.50! was greasy and peas hard and bitter Burger meal the burger was tiny 1 bit lettuce Garlic slices 2 swimming in butter not crisp on outside Only decent thing was kids menu tbh The choice on menu is limited no classics like lasagna cottage pie ,curry etc And only 3 fillings for jacket potato The mango smoothie was refreshing though Please have a more varied menu The seats also could have done with a revamp as ripped

My wife had to recently report a dirty cutlery tray , it,s not improved after it was reported. She now takes her own cutlery. Food is average.

Would use staff not very good food was rubbish for money

Really good cafe. Willing to provide what you want from the menu - for example today had a bacon 'toasty' instead of a bacon sandwich 👍😊

Much better than the standard supermarket cafe; clean, tables quickly cleared and friendly staff. Shame it is tucked away upstairs at the back of the shop.

My granddaughter and I enoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Service with a smile was first class. Tea and toast is always a winner when shopping with a four year old.

Go there for coffee before shopping
