Tesco Café in Watford

Mouth watering dishes tbh. Hot honey chicken must try at this place. Also tidy sitting area and beautiful decoration. It gives you actual cafeteria vibes… also hot drinks make you day after shopping. Keep it up guys

Fresh and delicious breakfast. I really enjoyed it. Staff were attentive and so helpful. If you do shopping and want to eat something fresh n hot must visit this cafe

Had a pain eu chocolate was not fresh my husband had croissant was not fresh ,coffee in a cardboard cup yet paid alot ,took 15mins to get served .Tesco gone down hill.i didn't even eat mine as it was awful

Over all the staff seemed to be feed up. When we asked for someone to wipe the table as it was dirty, the woman was unhappy to do so. My mother in law ordered a burger which took over half an hour. The staff just stood around and didn’t seem to care. The cutlery on my partners drink and mother in laws food were filthy and we just didn’t feel like the atmosphere was a happy meal lace to be

Fresh new cafe at the side of Tesco Extra which offers quite decent cafe quality food. Bright well lit and plenty of different table formats to choose - benches, tables and coffee tables. Got reasonably quick service after ordering on the computer screens. Spend was £11 pp for coffee, drinks and mains so not bad imho. Ease of parking nearby for the elderly folk that I care for makes this an attractive meal outing. Recommended as long as, unlike some other reviewers, you come with Cafe expectations not Restaurant ones. PS meal portions were so generous for my elderly folks that there was leftovers enough for lunch tomorrow. Bonus!!

Great taste food but sometimes poor customer service.

Second time,I have breakfast here,and it still sub standard, if anyone read this, go to the moon under the water, in the town centre,it's better value,and taste better, 1/10 for tesco cafe 10/10 for the moon under the water

Food made mommy stomach ache very bad :(

First tried giving us the wrong drinks. Had to wait 30min for food and when it came it was cold. Expensive not worth it.

Only good thing about the meal was our drinks. Food arrive cold looks anaemic and takes like cardboard. They replaced our meal which was cold but I couldn’t finish the food. Good for drinks avoid the breakfast Refund was issued through gritted teeth

Their fish and chips and all day bfast are always ver tasty, well made, hot and good portions. Their chicken dishes are not as good though. Staff are very friendly but they seem rushed off their feet I feel bad for them every time I come here.

Everything is becoming more impersonal due to digitalisation (computerisation). You have to order and pay using the electronic screen boards. It was quite easy until you come to choosing your table. On the screen there are rectangles for tables and they are numbered but they don't correspond with the table layout in the cafe. Plus the tables are not physically numbered. Anyway, get past that...oops, I forgot to mention that full cream milk is not on offer which means that we will not be returning. Anyway, there are four types of seating. Bench seats on the periphery with nice soft seating, soft armchair type seats, wooden chairs with soft seats and finally (not for me) wooden chairs with a wooden seat. The service can be a little slow due to staff numbers, but they do their best. We found the coffee to be very weak. All in all a quiet 30 minutes spent there, but until the nanny Tesco head office management provide full cream milk then we will not return. Thank you.

Food poor, cold ‘hot food’, unable to cook a poached egg

Popped in for a light meal before shopping. Order at the digi board & then wait for the staff to bring it to your table. Excellent service from friendly staff in a clean & warm cafe. A great addition in the previous giraffe restaurant.

Really cute cafe. I went on my own whilst my partner was at the gym, it was quiet on a weekday around 2pm. They have kiosks that you can order table service to. Good variety of food, breakfast was nice and the atmosphere is nice too. Food was fast getting to me and all presented with smiles from staff. Lovely little place.

Didn’t know Tesco Watford had a new cafe until we stepped into the doors of Tesco. Decided to try it out as I was starving. Defo didn’t disappoint that’s for sure☺️ Food and Drinks were lovely, everything came out pretty quickly and Staff were friendly too. Will 100% be returning😋

It’s an average place like home made food imo - prices are more than what they should be. Got a halloumi burger and drink - which was £10. Slab of halloumi in a brioche bun. Glad the space is being used but miss Giraffe as that was a better choice!

There's no whole on the coffee menu. They say it's a decision for health reasons. The hot chocolate, isn't hot chocolate but made with cocoa powder. Definitely won't be coming again.

Very nice , had a full English, so much better than Morrisons cafe. Nice staff, will be using this over morrisons from now on

3 front of house staff at peak lunch hour, trying their absolute best, ran off their feet. More staff needed!

Kids food was good and it was free also the coffee tasted really good. Busy but good addition to Tesco . Looking nice and clean .

Nice new cafe with nice clean environment. Food was good but portion sizes were pretty small. Food took 28 minutes to arrive which felt a little too long and poor chap walked around the place trying to find table numbers. Let’s give the place the benefit of the doubt as it’s new and go for 4 stars. Fish wrap and kids chicken shown.

Nice decent cafe, good addition to Tesco and Watford area. Quite expensive though. £9.50 for fish&chips and a drink. Fairly decent quality and nice new cafe style environment.
