Tesco Cafe in Glasgow City

Absolutely shocking can't get an order right the waitress is Absolutely shocking the price is ridiculous would never recommend anyone going their at all

30 mins before food arrived and that only when we mentioned we were still waiting . Hire more staff Instead of having one person run around like a loony.

A significant delay caused both hot drinks and food to become cold. Despite this, I continued to try the other dishes, which were also disappointing. I wish I could post images of the food

Messed up our order, got it second time. Food doesn’t stay warm long coffee cold as well. Cafe cold too

Asked for a decaf latte, was told that they could make it. I developed mouth ulcers almost immediately while drinking the latte, meaning that the latte they made was not decaf, as I have never had ulcers from decaf drinks, only caffeine causes this problem. Not fatal of course, but they will take at least a week to heal now. NEVER AGAIN. Imagine how you can end up if they do not care about what they serve to people with food allergies.

I didn’t like the experience at all the food was burn then too cold to eat . It was there for someone to bring it to me but they didn’t until half an hour

Stood at the till for 5 minutes waiting for one of the two staff who were chatting to serve me. One kept looking at me so they knew I was there. Ended up leaving empty handed as was taking to long.

Was here this morning, for a much needed breakfast after school run and to say disappointed is a understatement, our food was in the window and they had rang the bell, it was cold and my husbands didn't have his blackpudding or mushroom, when asked about it she said she would get it, when it came it was so greasy and think it was put in the deep pan fryer,our toast was freezing and to be fair the toast and cold beans where the only thing that was worth eating and you don't want to know how the bacon was. Very disappointed... definitely give it a miss, as we will Not be back.

You don't cook a panini in a microwave, it should be toasted. Very poor

Absolutely terrible. Waited 15 minutes for food that was sitting under a heat lamp. Dry and cold. Asked for refund. Waitress barefaced lied that food had been sitting there that long. No apology, just money refunded and told it didn't happen as she was up at the hatch. Food usually mediocre at best. But customer service disgraceful. Won't be back.

Enjoyed my coffee and lemon cake. Comfortable with enough seating. Music not too intrusive. Staff pleasant and willing to assist. Tables sanitized after each customer. Floors and tables clean.

Was ok had an issue with the food but the staff were very nice and fixed it without any problems.

Over priced as far as a breakfast goes. Dont let you swap items (3 hash brown, and a tomato for 1 nit of black pudding). At nearly 7 quid you dont even get a slice of toast with it or even a tea or coffee. Avoid it definitely

Have been popping in a couple of times a week since this cafe opened and usually the service is decent. However, over the past few months the service provided by the ladies taking orders/payment at tills has been pretty appalling. They all seem to be newer members of staff who don’t know how to interact with customers appropriately. From barking at you when they’ve messed up/forgotten things from your order, this happens nearly every visit, to closing the kitchen early because “they can’t hang about all night” 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s a shame because there are members of staff who have been working there for literal years who are fantastic and the food is generally good, when they get the order right.

Slow service. Limited selection food and drink. Staff pleasant.

Food were very greasy and over cooked, only ate half

Rather expensive for just a coffee and snack.

The roll was full, fresh and tasty and this was matched by my latte. All very friendly and relaxed.

The food I ordered was okay but I had to wait almost half an hour to have it served at my table

Oh my goodness. The food in here is great. I ordered the big breakfast and it was very surprisingly of high standard. Tasted great. Pity the coffee served is no longer Costa coffee which I really miss as I am a returning customer to Tesco cafe but the food is what keeps me returning.

So much better than the old place. Staff great👍

Dont order there big breakfast paid extra £1 for black pudding got 1 slice. Bacon under cook so was the sausage luke warm. Staff not interested it must have been sitting too long in the kitchen.

Eggs Royale are are perfect. Excellent cappuccino. Just dishes was taken away to fast.

Food was only warm not hot. Pretty mediocre really. Refrigerator broken, cold drinks were warm. Place was not very clean. This used to be a nice place in Tesco, not so much any more. Will avoid in future

Incredibly friendly staff, really nice latte which was extremely hot. Nice atmosphere and while there is music it is not overly loud.

Well this was unexpected. Quite unlike any Tesco cafe I've been to and all the better for it.

Breakfast was fresh, hot an tastey.

I got the ham hock and piccalilli sandwich which was tasteless! Mum got all day breakfast- bacon was hard, hash brown tasted nothing like hash brown should, beans were dry and the fried egg was cremated! Won't be back!

Popped in for coffee, decided to get food while I was there. The food was well presented and very tasty and the coffee was every bit as good as I expected. Even though the cafe was really busy, the staff never looked flustered and the level of service and attention to detail didn't drop once. Top marks.

Always enjoy the cappuccino, staff are always friendly, Pity they changed to bottled fanta, coke etc this will definitely put me off coming more than I used too

Cafe was clean and staff polite and cooked breakfast tasted nice but it was a bit too oily for me.

Now normally I wouldn't have given less than 4 stars but the staff seemed to be running round like heedless chickens Tesco caffe usually lot more on the ball so am hopeful this was just an off day the food was decent though

Had a lovely healthy breakfast here, consisting of poached egg, spinach, baked beans, tomato, mushroom and seeded bread toasted. Service was impeccable.

Love Tresco Cafe staff are absolutely brilliant so nice and so friendly my grandkids love it as well.

Conveniently stopped using self service drinks machine so you need to pay £1.90 for a bottle of juice which isn't even chilled properly, was a very regular customer but I now spend my money in asda café

A recent addition to the new menu avocado on toast with poached egg. What it actually was , was guacamole dip, not a bit of avocado in sight. Some greasy slithers of bacon and a watery poached egg on top. At £3.95 a pop you would at least expect real avocado ! Avoid ! Poor show .
