Sandwich was nearly devoid of any filling

really great customer service. They called as they didn't have what we originally ordered. they suggested their recommendation and even surprised us with some free muffins, I'm guessing as an apology. Really lovely touch

Food is freshly prepared for your order, so it is not sitting under heat lamps like it used to be not too crowded but can get busy with lunchtime's

Lovely little cafe with lots of choices and plenty of space. Ideal for catching up with friends and bringing along nosey toddlers who like people watching!

In the past this place probably deserved the bad reviews, but it has greatly improved its service recently. I wish I had remembered to take a few photographs -- the single one at present displayed by TA is frankly offensive.

Brilliant service normally. Good food

Food was horrible and cold. Bacon was near enough raw, whoever the chef was needs to understand how to use a cooker properly.

Food arrived late food was cold and also no butter, pot of beans was quarter full £10 breakfast not good

Had lunch after doing our shopping. Very nice indeed and reasonably priced. Helpful and friendly staff as well.

I always have the avocado on toast with an extra poached egg and think it is a smashing snack(with a pot of tea )

I bought my shopping and my trolley wouldn't move through the exit doors as I went to the cafe for a coffee this person appeared demanding my receipt I felt like a criminal and the staff are aloof and grumpy in the pharmacy and a person in particular was brusque and impatient and I waited for my prescription for a hour to be told they'd run out and never apologised I like the variety on offer and the fruit and vegetables and the ready meals

Terrible service - very slow at the counter and tables not cleared for ages. Ordered a coffee that was undrinkable as they seemed to have poured sugar in it without asking me. Glad I decided not to eat there.

Never had a positive experience here. Service is appalling. No customer service/ care at all. Food is mediocre at best. Not always the cleanest. I have visited a few times in the past, hoping for change. Nothing positive to report sadly.

Bit disappointed, fancied a croissant with my coffee but they don't do them (cafe policy) luckily other cafe's are not so short sighted.

First time here. Very friendly staff, fast efficient service with a great menu. Excellent quality food for very reasonable price. Clean, modern. Lift access. Great job !

Second time having lunch here in a couple of month. Slow service and food over cooked. Very poor.

Their breakfasts need to be bigger. Morrisons are far better

We only use this cafe if we arrive at the pharmacy to collect a prescription and it isn't ready and it will be a long wait. The service is poor at best but today it was terrible. A clueless young lad with beard and glasses was serving alone whilst other staff were milling about trying to look busy. The lady in front of me ordered two drinks and two lots of food and had to ask for a tray. He went off round the back to fetch one. Then I ordered two drinks and selected biscuits and a cake. He went off to fetch a tray for my stuff. Must have been too difficult to fetch more than one at a time. I stood there with my walking stick in full view and when he had finished serving me he went on to serve the next customer with no offer of assistance to my table. I said, agreed sarcastically, I will be a little while as I will have to take one item at a time to my table where my wife was waiting. He gave me a vacant look before asking if I would like him to take the tray to my table. Not good service at all, but then it is Tesco.

Love having breakfast and a coffee here - the staff are brilliant and very friendly - the food is very nice too btw.

A bit disappointed, jacket with cheese and beans looked really dried out after microwaving far too long. Kids meals came on really hot plates, I couldnt hold them. But the cups were cold. So the tea was cold. Lettuce was brown and soggy. But the stuff on top was ok.

Great food and coffee. Helpful staff. A really nice space to relax with a friend.

Excellent quality food. Shakshuka which is very new to the menu was a great choice with wonderful flavour. Credit to the cafe team both on the floor and behind the scenes for working on such a great menu with their latest additions. Partner had the chicken and chips which I sampled and i can safely say that the chicken was perfectly tender on the inside and crispy on the outer. Protein milkshake was delicious, as was the watermelon with green tea juice. Would visit again and people should definitely have these new additions to the menu.

Use this place a lot, friendly efficient and well priced.

Tesco Cafe at Barford road has been CLOSED for many weeks. It does NOT even offer take away.

Really enjoyed the vegan bean burger meal today and with a decaf soya latte! Extremely good value as half price Monday to Wednesday all September!!

Google social distancing and lovely staff

After my last visit to this 'cafe', I thought there's no way it could still be as bad. Well, it turns out that it can be, and it is! My breakfast was cold, with a dangerously undercooked sausage. When I complained, I got a replacement sausage, no apology. And it's always a bit worrying when "chef" can't cook an egg. Even more laughable was when my tray was whisked away from under my plate while I was eating my toast ( the only edible thing on the plate ) Absolutely shocking food, and unbelievably ignorant staff. Avoid at all costs.

You can do your shopping then have breakfast or just a coffee and cake

Good service very quick but I had macaroni cheese in a bowl which was red hot and I burnt my fingers, no warning from the waiter

Great breakfast and dreamt service

Not much in the menu. Staff is very good and they try to do anything for u. Its great to see such passionate people. Its good to sit with friends and talk as sitting area is calm after 3pm.

Poor limited choice of sandwiches etching

Abysmal. All day breakfast menu out of date. The do not do black pudding despite advertising it. The replacement was 1 mushroom about 35cm across the top and the Muppets charged me a quid for it!!!! The fried egg was 80% cooked so it was left. The place place was filthy despite the valiant efforts of the young female employee there. The cutlery was dirty and the container they were kept in was dirty and no doubt contaminated based on the debris contained therein. Will not be returning.

Popped in before shopping. Coffee was OK and chips nice and hot as well as being a reasonable portion for a lunchtime snack. I do have to say though that the toasted sandwich turned out to be a bit soggy. Also, the teaspoon that was put on my saucer was nowhere near clean. Let's itself down with things like this. Otherwise would have been a reasonable lunch.

You have to wait a long time for some items on the menu ,when you get them there cold

It would be nice if they smiled and spoke with a good tone instead of pure attitude.. I guess tesco just isn't a dream job. Stood at the counter waiting for a while until the girl (Ella) decided to serve me. It doesn't hurt to crack a smile!
