I remember on a Friday evening in November, waiting for the spring roll we saw a nice looking guy putting chairs back to the shop. The following week we went back to check what that shop was. Found out it was a very pleasant and cheerful coffee shop, the Terra Nera itself. Since than almost every week, almost at the same time we went back to have our coffees (sometimes teas). Try all the coffees but I have only one word for Marocchino: HEAVEN.

I was walking in Stables market when terra nera frontage caught my eyes. I then looked inside and admired the interior. In front of me, coffee beans and tea leaves from all over the world. The scent of the coffee attracted me inside. The interior is authentic and rustic. I was welcomed friendly. I decided to order a latte and I was delivered a piece of art. Marvellous and succulent.

Lovely atmosphere, food and cocktails and service was fantastic. The price of the non alcoholic cocktails though seems way to high compared to the price of the cocktails (£10 alcohol free vs £12.50-14 with alcohol) . If they had been £7-8 I would have a lot more, instead I moved on to the standard lime and soda which is a shame.

This is our third stay at the Black Lion. Three years ago first came because it was near our son's flat. Had such a good experience we have kept coming back. Rooms are spectacular, prices very reasonable. Staff is very helpful and pleasant. Excellent, large breakfast. Also lovely pub and restaurant. Short walk to tube. Negatives: Rooms can be hot in the summer, but they are working on getting AC set up. Looks close. Neighborhood looks iffy, but safety is no problem. No lift. You can ask staff to help with getting bags to room. Overall, great place. No hesitation to give it a great review and hopefully we''ll get back for yet another stay.
