To be honest £56 for a chicken shish, moussaka, chips and Haloumi seems a bit steep. These are the kind of prices you pay in a restaurant with restaurant service! £9 for 4 small bits of Haloumi? £5 for a portion of standard chips without salt? The quality was okay and it arrived hot and in a timely manner but I would definitely not order again for that price no way!!!! Was expecting much better things.

Very good food with equally good service. Everything tasted fresh and the portion sizes were great too.

Ordered their delicious Adana with yogurt (see picture for description of chicken), and they sent lamb. Unfortunately they refuse outright to admit their mistake or refund. Prices have gone up , understandable, and I’ve continued to order because they’re a great loyal business but no longer. £26 pounds for a lamb dish we cannot eat and terrible customer service.

I am still happy because the quality of the order is great!

The Aubergine Napolitana was too oily and a very small portion

We ordered a sharing platter which is advertised as coming with a mixed salad, but we just got a huge tub of chopped lettuce with a few bits of cucumber. In the order notes I specifically asked for the salad to contain red cabbage tomato and carrot so it’s frustrating this was ignored. Turkish spreads are delicious because they have such nice accompaniments to the meat and rice, so it is such a shame they only do this in the restaurant, and not for takeaways.

I really like this little gem of a restaurant. Service is always good. And the food is always great. They are very welcoming, you can always call ahead and reserve a table, with no issues. If you love grilled food, this is the place to go. The food always fresh and hot off the grill. One of my favourite places to always go to.

There is nothing special about the food from here. They waiter here with black beard is very rude. He don’t know how to speak to the customer and get annoyed every time when I asked him about the dishes. I am not coming back here again

I recently went to buy a Halloumi-Rap and had an unfortunate encounter with a rather rude older gentleman who seemed quite arrogant. I asked him if they had 'sulgram,' an authentic Turkish spicy drink, and he said they did. When I inquired about its freshness, he unexpectedly started arguing with me. He insisted that no one in the entire UK makes fresh Sulgram, but I know that many authentic Turkish restaurants prepare it in-house. He seemed quite offended by my response. In the end, I took my food and left. The food was rather average, but I must say the sauces were quite nice. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. 🤧

By far the best for kebabs, Moussaka and a ton more! Honestly the best meat, grilled perfectly! Moussaka spot on!! I cannot find as good anywhere else! Portions are fantastic too.

Just ordered 1x Aubergine Napolitana, 1x Hummus Kavurma and 1x Mixed Shish with Salad for £34. The portions are realy smal and comparing the price is not worthed. I finished everything and Im still hungry!!! I am very disappointed and never going to place any order ever again. For that money I have never experience anything like this in my intire life, I assure you this is not going to happen again.

I’ve been ordering from Teras for a long time, the amount of meat you receive is getting smaller and smaller with the prices going up and up. You used to get the meat in a big aluminium tin with the rice and bulgar. Then they moved to plastic trays with the meat, rice and bulgar in separate compartments in the tray. The amount of meat reduced considerably. Now they fill the plastic tray with loads of rice, bulgar, salad and onion, and drop some meat over the top. It’s almost pointless ordering from them now. I get that it’s difficult for small businesses at the moment, but you’ve ruined your product.

Only 3 of 4 mains delivered. Restaurant was helpful, but too late to make up for JustEat delivery failure.

The food is bad and the quantity is small. I ordered for 2 people for mix hot mezze that was supposed for total 4 people. It is overpriced with that bad quality.

Great quality meal as ever. The Imam Biyildi was amazing! My only negative comment is I really enjoyed the salad I got previously which had red cabbage and carrots in but it seems to have been streamlined a bit with fewer veg in now.

I called the restaurant 70 minutes after ordering to find they were still waiting for a driver - despite the app informing me that driver was waiting at the restaurant. When the food arrived it was barely warm. I did not expect to pay £50 for food that is floppy and inedible.

It’s the 1st time I’ve ordered from here I must be honest was worried about the price but I was NOT disappointed Food arrived on time and it was hot and you got great portions, the food was very tasty I will be ordering from here again. Well worth the money Thankyou

The food was lovely just not my usual type of Turkish service. A basket of bread, but no mezze. No offer of tea to end either.

Teras never fails to provide delicious, fresh food at considerably reasonable prices (£20 for a kebab and beer). I like to keep it simple with my chicken shish (which was divine) but other dishes being ordered by the tables nearby looked very tempting. A Wood Street classic.

Amazing food last night, We had Lahmacun The king prawn starter (my favourite) The liver starters. The sharing platter. Big portions . Couple of things tho , the main come out while we were still eating our starters I like to have break between meals . Next time I’ll state I would like a gap. .The restaurant was empty but still at to look out for the waitress for drinks etc . The menu says cocktails but they don’t do them . £5 for a 330 ml beer seems to expensive . The food made up the faults .

Fantastic Turkish restaurant. Great selection on the menu. Grilled lamb kebabs were excellent as was the bread. Brilliant service and very reasonably priced. Loved it.

I originally wrote a 5 star review for them 2 years ago. Unfortunately I have now had to change it to 1 star. What use to be my favourite restaurant is now a restaurant I will probably never go to again. One time I was chewing and almost choked on a peice of clingfilm that was in the food. Another time the Ayran was off !! And 3rd and final straw was today when my aubergine tasted like pickles because of how much it had gone off. The lady just came out with a bowl of humus and said " yh sorry its off and we don't have anymore but here have this instead ". When the bill came they had not removed the item or comped it. The new waiter is very up and down with his moods and service and made me feel uncomfortable. Really upset about the decline In quality and service. This was my husband and I favourite restaurant. They even catered at our wedding.....such a shame.

The quality and portion size has drastically gone down over the last 12-18 months. The tray it comes in is literally just rice and salad. Hardly any meat at all.

The worst food i ever eaten.. Koffte was rubbery, chicken shish was rock hard, all bad, rice and bulgur stinky not fresh. My partener been sick since yesterday.

This place has gone massively downhill. The main meats are still good (we had chicken shish and chicken beyti) but the service was really uncooperative (sticking to the "this is how it comes" line, rather than accommodating reasonable requests). Won't bother again.

We came here for dinner at about 9.30pm. They had run out of all doners and adana so we could only order chicken shish and chicken Beyti. We came here before Covid a lot. We used to be welcomed by olives and then served bread with the starters. On this visit, none of those. We got bread with our mains but it was not that fresh. Falafel was super dry and mainly crust, not good. The chicken was good. We asked for a salad with no onion or cucumber due to food intolerances and we were told the salad is prepared in the morning and already mixed. We had to negotiate this point to get a separate salad. So, though the meat was good, everything else around the place, especially the service and general customer care is really poor. Not to be tried again.

This place is a real local gem. We popped in for dinner and had such a lovely meal with wine. At just over £20 each including a bottle of wine it's a great cheap local meal. We had the mixed grill for two and taramasalata . The bread is the most incredibly soft bread and all the food is full of fresh flavours. Will definitely be coming back!

Amazingly efficient friendly staff considering 10 of us descended on them unexpectedly. Delicious food, fresh and cooked work care, skill and knowledge. Can't recommend the place enough.

The food here was so delicious! I ordered the mixed grill plate, which included grilled chicken, pork and lamb. The meat was so fresh and well-cooked. The seasoned bread was also some of the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be coming back here!

Would give 0 stars if possible. Going here to eat in is understandable but a takeaway from here is a very bad idea. The food is well overpriced... paid £35 for 4 cokes and 3 donner rolls. U pay that in central london for good food. Im not shy to spend money but i spent £35 here for a kebab i wouldnt pay more than £15 for and the aftermath of this food is a very upset stomach and diarrhoea. Would not recommend this place.

To be honest personaly i didnt even tried their food my friend told me that its was good and he told me exactly what he ordered.he clearly said that he asked to remove the chicken wings from a plate and replace it with something else wich my husband approved it that he done it. One day I went with my husband to order again with the exact same exchange of meat. The owner or whatever he was refused the exchange saying that this was the standart plate and they dont do that. I explained that last time you did and it was you personally but still nothing. Im wondering if for example someome dont eat lapm or chicken or whatever why it is so bad just to remove it? Gosh.. Im never coming back there.

Had a lovely meal last night at Teras Restaurant on Wood Street for a friend's birthday. My moussaka was delicious and my friends all said their meals were very nice too. The portions were very satisfying! The service was great; the staff were really friendly, we brought along a cake and everyone in the restaurant sang happy birthday to my friend at the end of the meal. Will definitely be going back again to try some more dishes!

Shocked. 3rd time I'm ordering and until now the food was generally good,however, this time the food was mostly out of date, especially the salads where the salads tasted extremely rotten and some of the meat tasted out of date

Very disappointed...the Turkish pizza(lahmacun) has lost its original test and looks, the service...!! Come on guys I am sure you could do much better, I know it’s very hard for everyone at the moment but it’s Not difficult to make some effort for a sake of your business...

Literally, found a PUBIC HAIR in my Adana kebab! Sadly, that had been the second chance I gave this place for an LESS THAN AVERAGE kebab I had ordered months before. I had thought this place was overhyped, but now I know it’s disgusting as well! Enjoy eating their pubes!

Prob my fave turkish place in stow, family run cosy place. Top food, top service, consistent for years. Good prices too, would defo recommend.

STAY AWAY ... Worst experience in my life with a Turkish restaurant run by a Bulgarian guy, we ordered some Lahmacun with borek and liver as a starter, he brought the Borek and Lahmacun the borek was edible but the lahmacun was cold and when I told him he took back it and reheated and brough it back, he brought the liver wich he dropped on the table and when I told him that I don't want the food anymore he told me that he removed the lahmacun from the bill.. This restaurant is a complete joke, please stay away.

We ordered the mixed grill and cold mezze. The mixed grill had 6 tiny pieces of meat, the mezze was inedible. No one would answer the phone and Deliveroo refunded 1/3 of my order when I sent them a photo.

I have ordered from here before and been fairly satisfied...but tonight's order was missing adana kebab, and chops and instead of proper turkish bread we got pita. In the time of a pandemic this restaurant is taking liberties and this is the second time in 4 weeks they have delivered an incomplete mixed grill. .... Very disappointing and feeling cheated out of £63

We just ordered a food from restaurant and was a joke , salad was not etable, just iceberg and tons of onions, chilli and garlic sauce was so little.. we asked for chips instead of rice but who cares about such small details. I don't like rice!!! Nice one. I'll never order from them again. waste of time and money.

Would be 5 stars but I feel like certain things are just overpriced (like the halloumi). But I still go here all the time because the food is really good.

Ordered over the phone a mixed grill for a family of 4 along with two portions of chips - total was £50.00. I thought the price was a bit much but gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed this grill was going to be either exceptional in taste or exceptional in portion size however disappointed on both fronts. The family of 4 I was referring to consists of two adults and 2 children (10 and 8). While the food was well prepared I didn’t think it was any diffident to other Turkish grill restaurants I had visited before. I was really disappointed by the lack of chicken and lamb doner, in fact, I’d go as far as saying it was nonexistent. Furthermore there were no lamb chops, how can one have a mixed grill without lamb chops!?! There was plenty of bread, however this is not what I was after and really if you are going to provide that much bread then surely there should be some typical Turkish sides included like humous (something that is almost always offered complementary in other restaurants). The food was good in taste but there was very little value for money. East London has many Turkish grill options and in my opinion you can find better without searching too hard. I would go again if I couldn’t be bothered to drive a little further afield however i suspect that time will not be anytime soon.
