3rd Thursday every month.Open Mike Night.Most enjoyable evening.

Great service, good food. However no cask was available on my visit. However, my Guinesses were in good order and topped off with a shamrock in the foam!

Sunday roast was so tasteless. Compared to what you expect from other establishments this is a sorry excuse for a roast. I would love it to be great I would pop in all the time but genuinely a very unseasoned roast and has a very frozen feel to it. Defo more of a boozer for the same old men than somewhere to have a meal.

We held my mums WAKE at the tavern last night after her cremation. We hired the room to the left of the bar which was just the perfect size for what we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. Their care ,compassion and thought to detail for our situation was lovely. They prepared the room as asked and the food was served not long after we arrived. The food was very good, many compliments were given and for what we paid, there was just so much of it! Shaun and his team were amazing and we will definitely be using their services again, Great job and thank you again👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I think we shocked the bartenders. We were quite ready for shenanigans. We walked in and the room became silent. The existing patrons just looked at us for a minute and then went about their business. It's a beautiful home town pub! Inviting and open with a pretty standard menu with a twist of flavor and a little bit of heat. The bar tenders and the wait staff weren't so versed on american cocktails, but they were very accommodating, and after a little bit of time, they warmed up and were pretty cool. So, thanks to the blond bombshells for the drinks. If you're in the area of Tottenham or Chingford, do drop in!

Went in for a pint. Only cask was doombar so had a nitro. Quite good but as usual, bit expensive. Friendly barman.

Went there to try the food but they shut the kitchen at 7.30pm we got there 8.15 so bit disappointed

Great place to go for drinks. Usually have karaoke on a Friday night which is a good laugh. Food is great too! The little blonde lady behind the bar is really welcoming. Genuinely a great pub with great service.

Everything about this pub was perfect! Great quick service for food and drink. Fish finger sandwich was lovely :) very clean and welcoming. Cannot wait to visit again.

Had a nice lunch here recently, food nice, and staff friendly and efficient.

Had a wedding at the Meridian Grand. Came here for drinks in between wedding and reception. Fellow locals are friendly. Great pool table. Cheap drinks (£6 for a double - prices may vary). Nice outdoor area. Would come back again

Really inconsiderate towards local residents, constantly playing loud music into the night (excessively with unnecessary amounts of bass) leading to an increase in antisocial behaviour.

Took a walk to here to see if different from the usual 3 pubs in chingford and can say my partner was right about the old hall tavern in saying its not the best and massively over priced for a drink that's not a overly welcoming pub Last time we come here for a LONG while

Had the one of best burger I've had in years, thick juicy and spiced chips were great , decent mayonnaise, couldn't find fault. The publican shaun 👌 nice guy funny and loves dogs .. did I say you can bring your dog here, too! I'm coming back for sure.. would have taken a pic of the food but ate it all before I even thought of it

Came in for a pint with my Grandad. Beer selection was good and the portion of nachos was massive. Very happy. Will be back!

Lovely place. Came here for a late lunch after hiking in Epping Forrest. Good amount of parking at back, really good food & a lovely friendly waitress who served with a smile. I would defo come back here if visiting Epping Forest.

Nice pub in Chingford. 5 mins from Chingford Mount. Food is decent and reasonably priced too.

Excellent customer service, very friendly bar staff. Delicious food would highly recommend. Lady with red hair behind the bar could not have been more helpful. Definitely coming back.

I went here for my friend’s 50th birthday. The beer was watered down, the service was slow. And the staff were rude, even to the birthday girl. Disappointing.

Nice pub held a wake there, staff and service was very good one drawback was the gents toilets not having working locks on the doors otherwise they were clean and tidy would recommend to anyone who looking for a good place

Had the beat pub night on Friday that me and my have had out in a long time. You have got to have a Friday night at the tavern with Darren's banging food, Alison her sister and Lewis behind the bar with local Chingford people- all in all a great night!! Cheers

Enjoyed really good food this evening at the Old Hall Tavern. Good portions, and great tasting. Offer was 50% off main meals during September, so excellent value, but would be happy to pay full price.

Fancied a pub lunch with my partner and thought we would try somewhere new apposed to the usual ( The greene man). We had scoped the menu before going and thought that it looked good with some great options for mains and dessert! What a mistake!!! We sat down inside, after a few minutes the lady asked if we were having drinks , we said we were just deciding what to have. We were choosing what we were having on the app ( that their website says you can use to order) and she approached us abruptly a second time saying " You know you have to buy something you can't just sit in here! " , we then informed her that we had ordered through the app and she said " The app doesn't work..." she wanted us to check if the money had been taken and made us feel like it was our fault that something they have in place doesn't work. Ironically the app did work and the cook come out to tell us one of our items was out of stock ( which wasn't an issue). I chose something else unaware to myself that it was more expensive until the lady said she will have to sort out doing a refund and charging us again for the difference ( in my opinion this should not have been mentioned as for the troubles experienced already in goodwill they should have honoured the difference). The food was of good proportion and good standard but the service was terrible and for this reason i will not be returning or recommending this place. Perhaps the app should be removed from the website to avoid any further disappointment from future customers.

First time here, stopped enroute, was smashing place, food delicious, waitress very very nice and friendly, portions amazing couldn't ask for anything better. Also car park at rear a little tight to enter and leave but spacious parking spaces. Do yourself a favour and try it, you won't be disappointed

Never been to the pub before Saturday, what a great experience, place was really friendly, bar staff excellent and the food was really tasty,highly recommend this pub.

Couldn't use garden as door was locked at 7pm , no ventilation sweat was poaring off everyone. Only 2 staff working behind bar. We had big function their last night. Covid is still around government telling us all to keep Windows and doors open I think someone needs to tell them . Loads of young children could not play in garden. .

Highly recommend this great venue Staff are super-friendly and efficient. Food and drink excellent value for money. Can't wait to visit again. Had a family gathering in the function room. Was fantastic. Staff were so friendly and accomodating. Would highly recommend for events and functions.

Brilliant little pub, nice atmosphere even with the COVID restrictions in place - staff are all very lovely and always make sure to sanitise and get details for track and trace. Land lady is very welcoming and attentive and the food is tremendous!! Would defo recommend!! 🥳

New rules re covid are hard but staff need to be more observant so customers are not waiting too long especially when not busy... then the staff member becomes defensive with smart comments !

Had my Dads Wake there last week and they were fantastic, Holly our Barmaid was always smiling and happy to look after us . Food was superb, hot and very reasonable . Landlady kept on checking we were ok, highly recommended even in these troubled times

My friends and I just had another brilliant evening at ‘The Old Hall Tavern’. Last night was Karaoke, and what a night. Singing and dancing the night away. The couple hosting were brilliant, interacting with everyone. The bar staff were as friendly as always. We will definitely be returning.

My husband and I visited The Old Hall Tavern to try out their menu as we had been recommended. We found the pub to be quite busy with other customers but it would seem we were the only people eating there. Should this have been an omen. We ordered the beef and ale pie with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The meals arrived after about a 15, minute wait ,which was fair. It was quite a substantial meal but the crust ont the pie was hard and overdone. The contents were tasty. The runner beans were 'all dente' which is how I like them but my husband complained they were not cooked enough. The staff were friendly but the general appearance of the pub was not very clean. Also part through our meal some members of the staff began moving tables and chairs I guess getting ready for the evening entertainment, if in fact there was one which made us feel a bit uncomfortable as we were sitting on the stage area We would not go back there I'm afraid but at least we tried it out.
