Tenmaru in Islington

We found this restaurant from a friend Glad we visited we all loved it. Ramen was delicious! The vibe is pretty chill, service was fine. Recommend!

Lovely place, great, very friendly staff and most of all, very tasty ramen! It was my first visit anf definitely not the last.

I've been a few times to have lunch at Tenmaru. I had a ramen, with some Japanese cucumber for starters. The food tasted great. The little touch on the egg was great and I regularly return, as it tastes great. It's always busy and the service is fast and the owner Seung is also super friendly. Love it and recommend to everyone.

We went to Tenmaru for dinner just because it looked nice and had a free table and we were really impressed. Great gyoza, interesting nibbled, awesome ramen (vegan, basil, spicy), a nice atmosphere and professional staff. Will definitely go back again.

A lovely restaurant - clean design, friendly staff and delicious food. The edamame are delicious. We had the spicy ramen and basil ramen and the stock is hjust delicious. We are regulars at the Finsbury Park branch which is also lovely, so it's good to know this branch is just as good.

I came to Tenmaru, at their Oxford Street branch, 2 minutes walk from the station. The restaurant looks traditional and welcoming, the staff are friendly and helpful. I had a ramen which looked and tasted great. I really enjoyed the experience and would recommend to anyone!

This popular spot is always pretty busy which adds to the atmosphere, and doesn’t seem to compromise the service. There’s not heaps of choice, especially for vegans, but the food is tasty, and sometimes pretty spicy! Glad this place is nearby :)

We had dinner at Tenmaru prior to going to the Theatre. It was ver dissapointing. For the start the menu is small with few choices. We chose a Vegan Ramen and it was very ordinary, nowhere near as pleasant or interesting as ramen dishes at Wagamama. It had Tofu in it, which must have just come out of the freezer, and was still cold, not having been warmed much by the soup. The premises are shabby too.

I'd heard very positive things about this place from a Taiwanese friend but came away disappointed. Nothing awful but nothing great either. The menu on their website is not up to date. Sadly they no longer serve fried horse mackerel (aji) - a personal favourite. What's left are fairly run of the mill dishes, with ramen the main offering, lamentably served in quite small portions. Service and ambience are friendly and upbeat.

Here you get more than you paid for, I mean you will not feel at all let down. I went twice on two different London trips since 2019 and loved the experience. The staff are great too, very professional and friendly and I love the location as well, without a doubt this is a place I will go to every time I am in London thanks

Absolutely love this place, I found it in passing and I'm so glad I did. I have since had a few meals here with friends and recommended place to friends and have never been let down by Tenmaru. The food and the quality of the food and the price is ideal. The staff are completely professional, and the interior is also a good match for my taste. I will be back not just because of the shoes but because of the service. Sean T

The description in the menu didn't indicate that it contains seafood which is potentially fatal for seafood allergies. I made a recommendation to the staff in adding a description claiming that it contains seafood, but the staff said that they were impossible to list all the ingredients out. And he explained that their staff will always ask if the customer has any allergies while taking the order but our case, the staff didn't. Glad that my boyfriend doesn't have a serious seafood allergies, although he still feels horrible after the meal. The vegan ramen broth is pretty good, although the ramen itself is slightly soggy. Probably won't visit again.

I have now been to Tenmaru twice since it has opened and I love it. I have tried both the Paitan and the Tan Tan Men and both were so delicious in their own way. You've got yourself a loyal customer and I will be telling all my friends and family!!! They also have a great range of veggie options which I have yet to try. The staff are also super friendly.

Fantastic dinner and friendly service! The Karrage was fantastic. We had Ramen for main course which were also delicious
