Food was delicious, but I do think it's overpriced. Should add a little bit more on the plate to get more for what you pay for.

Nice little cafe. Not a huge lunch choice, but quiche and Frittata available with a variety of salads. There may have been other hot food I wasn't aware of. Busy mainly with teas and coffees, and cakes.

This was my first visit to this cafe, and overall, the staff were alright and polite. I ordered the classic Breakfast, and although they couldn't accommodate my request to change the scrambled eggs to fried eggs, that was understandable. Unfortunately, the sausage was overcooked and quite tough to cut with a knife and the hash browns were not very enjoyable either. Considering the price of over £11, I don't believe it was worth the value. Personally, I would prefer to explore other new places rather than returning here.

Alway great. Friendly staff. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan foods plus the community fridge.

Warm, friendly atmosphere with chic decor throughout. The staff were so attentive and the owners were very welcoming. The cuisine was authentic, tasty & fresh. My 18 year old son and 11 year old daughter loved the music selection being played and had a great time. The traditional desserts were also spot on. We’ll definitely be visiting again soon. Favourite place of mine to eat especially for awkward dietary types like me. Staff are just lovely and even engage in conversation they clearly know the locals for sure

First time here today - we stumbled upon the cafe by accident but what a gem! Cottage pie was delicious and a sandwich of full size pigs in blankets was first class! We will definitely be back - keep us a table!

I had an amazing vegan breakfast today. Well cooked and presented. Coffee was excellent as was a vegan gf chocolate brownie I couldn't resist. The manager was friendly and helpful and let us know which foods were gf and vegan. Will definitely go again.

The staff are so friendly no matter how busy. They make the best vegan BLT ever!!!!! Love love love

Popped in to have a milk shake and carrot cake too much solid ice in the milk shake, and the carrot cake was very dry unusual for carrot cake

03/22 - awesome scrambled egg! Update 10/21 - Eaten here under the new owners now and have been impressed the quality of the food, friendliness and relaxed atmosphere has been maintained. Lovely food and friendly service

Temple Lounge has both Middle Eastern and South Asian menus. The food is excellent for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. Try a meze plate to start then reorder the items you enjoyed. The chicken wings, the Tabbouleh, ME mixed grill and king prawns were my favorites. It has no alcohol license so you can take your own which makes it much cheaper. Their non-alcoholic cocktails are also very good. On a Saturday night we were the only group in the restaurant as most people are out the back doing shisha. Service is pretty quick. It's an undiscovered gem of an eatery.

I had a take way meal on Sunday serviced by Ahmed was extremely excellent , smile 😊 polite customer customer I ever had , he recommended to me something soured aubergine chutne which is so delicious like I’m finding in south India , good Ahmed keep it up if you have any promotions system please give him chance to have a higher rank , I will be back soon

We love visiting Temple Street Canteen, my husband for their latte's and me for their delicious fritatta's! During coronavirus they seem to be working really hard to refresh the premises and it's looking much improved already !

I always go out of my way to visit this shisha lounge! Really nice shisha and great hosts in the restaurant, they serve burgers, Indian food, Lebanese food, salad starters, desserts, and a plethora of drinks; soft, mocktail, and hot. Especially since the shop has reopened they've made the whole experience really easy for the pandemic with added safety measures... In fact, I barely notice a difference to the restaurant prior to the pandemic!

Lovely little place for a snack still very amateurish with the delivery and service but the food is delicious Needs to consider customers needs when ordering food even toasted sandwiches need cutlery and a serviette also bottle of orange juice needs to come with a glass you shouldn’t need to ask for these things they need to be there as part of the service not a request saying all this our light snack was really delicious and we will definitely be returning for the best salad I’ve ever tasted and we will be ready next time to request all the correct implements required attention needs to be addressed to the simple things and will then be perfect

Only stopped in for a cup of tea but the staff were friendly and I liked the ethos of the place

Staff are unprofessional. Struggled with taking order. 1 hour in... No sign of any food.. they kept saying they were very busy. The Shisha side was but the restaurant side wasn't very busy. They don't have dedicated staff for the restaurant side. Finally when food came it was disappointing. The Arabic mixed grill wasn't very good.. big bits of chicken so not much flavour. The lamb had a marinade on it - my friend had same dish but his lamb wasn't marinated! Two of my friends had Naga chicken dishes. Naga is one of the hottest chillies but these dishes were not hot! What was completely UNACCEPTABLE was my friends "Seabass"... They did not give seabass. It was Pangasius. The grilled indian meats did not come with any sauces, we had to ask for sauces. One of the other friends had lamb shwarma.. he barely touched it. It looked horrible. You would have thought they would have offered nibbles because of the delays but oh no. The staff have no idea of how to run a restaurant. I7 The Shisha side was ok buy again inexperienced staff. 4 cubes of charcoal is likely to burn the tobacco quickly and it did. Avoid this place.

Great menu to suit all tastes. Lovely atmosphere, staff courteous and friendly. Not a direct criticism, merely an observation that may help improve overall experience but, I ordered plain everyday breakfast brew tea. It had a perfumed flavour which wasn't what I wanted. Are teapots used randomly for all teas so that the flavours mingle and are not true to their individual blend? I find this on trains also. Tea has a coffee flavour! I didn't enjoy my tea. I would come again but choose another drink to avoid disappointment. Thanks you for my yummy avocado toast with perfect bacon.

A very nice relaxed cafe with good prompt service. My mum and I enjoyed bacon sandwiches and coffee which were delicious and very reasonably priced.

Been to this place many many times of the last 3 years. My favourite place for a n ie curry or even a grill and perfect you are having shisha after. Could not recommend this place highly enough.

Really good for coffee and cakes. With a good menu (see pic). Very child friendly upstairs. The only drawback is it's quite noisy as it's next to the street and there was music playing.

In Ramadan month my son was fasting he decided to get something else instead curry at homemade, he ordered on line as soon as he ordered delivery man came to my address less than 5min order number was 8471 when he try to eat food was not up to standard it was ready made cold food , he phoned to temple lounge Oxford complained to manger he told the problem he had , manager was not sympathetic at all he was rude ,top of that he can’t speak English properly, when my son told him that temple Launge will get bad reviews from me than manager offered a another free replacement meal to my son manager told my son not today because it’s 10 at night call tomorrow , my son called temple lounge manager 2days later he wasn’t there same thing happened next day as well. He is still waiting for my replacement meal which he paid for it . I advice to students and locals please not to go there there sharks .

I’ve been here Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Ever since Anta is gone, the place has been an absolute mess. We need Anta back. Hope he gets well soon with a speedy recovery. We miss you our friend 👋🏻

Visited Temple lounge with my husband, we did not pre book and got there on a Saturday at 7pm.there is off road parking in nearby streets too. We was seated straightaway as it was not too busy at that time. Lovely place. Two areas for seating, one for just food or the second one for food and shisha. Ordered the chicken karai and shish touke wow amazing spiced food. Best place for shisha too. Defo recommend this place. Service was great and friendly.

I’m reading people saying it’s not what they expect or it wasn’t romantic etc - Let me break it down for you. Temple lounge is a chilled out, relaxed and comfortable shisha bar/restaurant for people who want to unwind and relax, spend some cash and eat, drink and smoke shisha. Usually friends or groups, for a couple it is nice if you’re looking for a chilled evening - not romantic. It is cash only, and can be EXCEPTIONALLY busy at times, so don’t be offended if you are asked for your table when you are sitting there drinking one coffee, as opposed to people who are waiting to sit down to spend on multiple drinks, shishas and snacks. Most people that come here are regulars, it’s almost like your local pub to socialise but without the alcohol. The staff are not rude, they are just very busy and if you catch them on a less busy day you will see how friendly and kind they are. Especially Antar - The main guy. He’s the reason temple lounge is as popular as it is, this man is the backbone of temple lounge, he has been a loyal employee since the lounge first opened and without Antar, this place would not be what it is. Thank you all for looking after me, can’t wait to go again. Zara :)

Fuimos aquí para cenar con amigos alrededor de las 6 pm / 6. A las 30 h, nuestros amigos habían intentado venir aquí anteriormente, pero estaba lleno y no había mesas disponibles, muy felices de encontrar que, a esta hora de la noche, el restaurante estaba muy tranquilo. No venden alcohol aquí, pero las bebidas que pedimos eran muy buenas. El servicio era un poco extraño ya que nuestros entrantes vinieron con nuestros platos principales y un plato fue olvidado pero muy amable y la comida era excelente. Todo muy bien preparado y en abundancia. Sin duda volvería a comer allí como buena relación calidad-precio y la comida es deliciosa

Decidí meterme en este lugar porque parecía encantador por fuera. Cuando llegamos, el caballero fue lo suficientemente amable y nos preguntó si queríamos una mesa para Shisha o para el restaurante.

£2.70 for a small cappuccino! When this place first opened, their coffee's were served in large cups or mugs, same size as the large Costa coffee cups, but for some reason the cups are all small and prices higher. Mine was served to me at my table without a saucer, which I had to ask for and took me less than a minute to drink. I frequent alot of cafe's in Keynsham and this is the most expensive yet. I shan't be returning.

A very nice place to sit and write. Coffee is reasonable, if somewhat more expensive than I would like for an americano. Still beats going to Costa or coffee one! Staff are pleasant and friendly.

Room for improvement on the service as it can be a bit slow. Food quite tasty but not a big fan of using a microwave for preparation. I would be back though!

I have been going here for 2-3 years, not on a regular basis but occasionally. I love the environment it has, and the mixture of different cultures. The food is also impressive in my opinion, the sujuk is amazing! Would recommend trying some mezzes here. I took a star off because they have a rule where you must spend £10 minimum to stay, so you can't just visit your friends and have some coffee. But this place does get very busy so I can understand.

Good coffee, porridge and service

Been numerous times for both the Lebanese menu and also the Indian food menu. Always been happy with the taste and portion sizes. At busy times food will take a bit longer to arrive, but that’s the same everywhere I’d say.

El restaurante tiene una regla estúpida, no te permiten quedarte a menos que gastes 10 por persona. Tienen el menú, tienen los precios, pero no les permiten comprar algo de bebida y sentarse. Nos rechazaron a pesar de que queríamos gastar 30 para 4 personas.

Visitamos Temple Lounge para cenar un sábado. Entré a un restaurante vacío sin nadie en el mostrador. Estuvo de pie durante unos minutos antes de que alguien llegara. Nos sentamos y entregamos los menús. La mitad del menú se desvaneció, así que no pudimos leer la mitad de los platos. Pedimos puri wrap y houmus con pollo.

Amazing food! Had a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw and my other half had scrambled eggs which he said were amazing! Dog friendly, loads of gluten free/vegan options and lots of great events planned, we're tempted to try out the cheese and wine night!

Tienen muchos platos y tienes la posibilidad de traer tu alcohol porque no lo venden allí. Es un lugar grande y es bueno para cenas con amigos. El personal más o menos, a veces no son muy serviciales y tienes que esperar mucho tiempo para la comida.

He leído los comentarios en TripAdvisor y no podía esperar para invitar a mis amigos a este lugar. A ellos les encantan los shisha, así que estoy seguro de que disfrutaremos nuestra visita.

I was charged 60p extra for Soya milk!! This is a dietary requirement and I cannot think of anywhere else that does this. I visit coffee shops every day but will not return to this one. Also my coffee was near boiling point which makes the milk cuddle, a barrister lesson is obviously needed as well.
