On entering the “restaurant” we were greeted by green algae covered steps. As we were very hungry we still decided to give it a look inside. The eating area appeared clean and well kept. Being shown to our seats by a seemingly harassed Asian gentleman, apparently the owner, we viewed the menu. My good lady asked for a side dish and was told they don’t serve side dishes on a Thursday, which seemed quite odd. We ordered 3 popadoms that appeared along with a chutney tray, I ask if they chutney was free as I didn’t order any and was told “ no it was £4”. So I asked that it be taken away. This seemed to further increase the mans level of harassment. When ordering the owners attitude was very rude, even my nine year old daughter pointed out that “he was not a very pleasant man”. Hunger being the better part of judgment we ordered food. The food was very average and the chicken was obviously precooked and quite dry in a generic base grave. The vegetables were warmed up frozen veg and the £2 each chapatis were in fact wraps from a packet. We finished the food and rated it 1 out of 10. I went to pay and when I questioned the bill the owner became irate and when I pointed out the chapatis were in fact wraps he questioned how did I know? I stated that I was originally from Bradford and new what a curry and a chapati should be like. At this he admitted the chapatis were in fact wraps and said he wouldn’t charge us for them and that he too was from Bradford and new what a curry should be like. Then he asked me for my name and told me to never come back as he has a problem with people from Bradford coming in his restaurant. Quite bizarre We stated that we wouldn’t even consider coming back and that it was indeed the worst experience we’ve ever had in any eatery, ever. My advice if your hungry and this is the only place open, starve! You’ll be happier.

We ordered a large meal for 6 and we couldn’t have had a better meal. The customer service was excellent and I was offered assistance to the car. My Lamb Bhuna was very tasty and the lamb just melted in my mouth. Everyone enjoyed the meal and I felt it was excellent value for the quality of meal we had. We will definitely be back.

Ordered food for my son's birthday when we got home (15 miles away) it was the wrong order so called to ask if they can send the correct order out but was bombarded with abuse and was told its not their problem and our mere £45 order was nothing to them!!!. Very abusive man and very intimidating was told that they would poison they food tonight. Beware we are not use to this service in our small community. DO not use awful in everyway lost £45 and was verbally abused for it. Cafe India in Stranraer we will try next time please do not bother using. We always support local businesses but to be abused and its not our fault.

Absolutely wonderful food. My friend had fish curry(no bones) and I had vegetable korma both dishes were freshly cooked, flavoursome and would recommend. The garlic naan and coconut rice were just perfect. Staff were very attentive and friendly, all in all , great experience. If every back in Stranraer will definitely visit Temple Cuisine again

Phoned in for takeaway, order taken but no price given. Picked up and as I only had the menu from the previous operators was surprised by the cost of £21.80 for garlic mushrooms. KP Madras w/b rice. OK I'll give this new "Cuisine" place a chance & see if it is worth the money. Opened the garlic mushrooms and found a box full of greasy onions with 3 pieces of mushroom & a small tub of what I assumed was a garlic sauce (like you get in the kebab shops). Madras sauce was thin & watery. Phoned back to complain and was told they are short of ingredients but we will give you a free garlic mushrooms next time - There won't be a next time! Why not tell people that some items are unavailable instead of waiting for a possible complaint? - poor customer service. Prices highly inflated from previous menu poor value for money and definitely not 'Cuisine' changing the name alone does not improve the quality of the food. Food - binned. Their Facebook page is nowhere near the reality.

Well where do we start, We went in and was shown to a table, no mension of the 1hr wait after sitting their for 20 minutes, they clearly priorities takeaways over sitting down guests. Zero communication so I'd avoid this...

Way to expense. You’re paying for the decent atmosphere. Small portions. To much saffron in the chicken Korma. Will not be returning.

It wasn't chicken balti and not even mild spicy which I requested while ordering the food. It was sweet and sour kind of taste.
