We had breakfast with a friend and had a great time We had cappuccino and a very good almond brioche 🔝

I had a great experience at this branch, thanks to a wonderful team and especially Rueben, who served me. Rueben made me a delicious flat white, and he was very accommodating when I requested a specific 1 1/2 shots. At other cafes, this can sometimes be a bit of a hassle, but Rueben prepared my drink without any fuss. The entire staff here is genuinely kind and welcoming, making it a pleasure to visit. Highly recommend this location for both the service and the quality of the drinks!

If you’re looking for an excellent scone with clotted cream and jam, look no further! These scones are the perfect texture where they’re soft but not too crumbly. Then with the cream and jam, it’s not dry at all. Definitely a great option for a quick takeout breakfast!

The cinnamon roll is heavenly—soft, sweet, and perfectly spiced. A must-try!

I had an unfortunate experience at this branch today. The staff seemed disengaged, and I wasn’t acknowledged, even though I was in a rush. Ended up leaving without making a purchase and went next door for my coffee and cake. Hoping for a better experience next time! Update: Gail’s customer service apologised for the experience I had and promptly addressed the issue. I appreciate their responsiveness. Thank you!

Why work early on a Sunday morning when you have an attitude serving people! Wow just ordered a cappuccino. Milk burnt, too hot and both employees couldn’t be bothered. Terrible experience! Responding to the reply of the owner: My first name is Pepper and last name Stewart. That already shows how “serious” you take my feedback. And then sending me a link to follow up with??? NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. Again adding to the terrible experience. I will spend my money where I am welcome as a customer but definitely NOT at Gails.

Great to have Messi back! The shop feels more organised, and everything just seems to run smoother when she’s around. Plus, the atmosphere is always friendlier when she’s there. Really makes a difference.

If you would like to have a really delicious pastry with your coffee or tea or if you would like to buy some good fresh bread, you are in good hands here. Only the ambience is more reminiscent of a train station hall than a cozy café.

It is one of the best hanging places in London to have a good time with a perfect cup of coffee with amazing, excellent pastries.

Expensive. Very tasty eats. Coffee good but not great. Gail's do not take cash. The small smoked salmon eat is a bit of a rip off , yummy but way too expensive. Good friendly service with a smile , and customer toilets . I had the delicious mozzarella and tomato focaccia , and the excellent parmesan chicken in a sesame bun. Gail's is right next to The Design Museum , and the entrance to Holland Park. Much better value to go to the nearby Cafe de Fred.

The service used to be good - I’ve been a customer for several years - but recently they just dump the food on a plate (no cutlery, no napkins, no cups or trays). When they’re charging extortionate rates for eat in, one would expect a decent service and presentation to justify the cost.

Not one to write a bad review (and I’ve been a Gail’s regular for 4 years) but this was my first time at this branch having moved to the area and the staff actually really just p*ssed me off. Ordered a breakfast tea, for which I wasn’t given a spoon so I went back to the counter to ask for one and he (long ish brown hair, quite tall) gave me a table spoon and huffed when I said actually i need a teaspoon for tea please. No apology obvs. Then when I sat down I realised they’d given me earl grey tea instead of breakfast tea. I politely told them and they tried to tell me that a breakfast tea is actually earl grey but they would swap it for me as a favour essentially. Sat back down and realised they’d given me earl grey AGAIN. I went back up to the counter and said I promise I’m not being difficult but that’s not breakfast tea. They literally laughed at me and basically gaslit me saying it’s breakfast tea and they couldn’t do anything else for me. I asked them to compare the smell of the tea leaves with an English breakfast tea bag, to which they laughed together and said some numpty has mixed up the tea leaves. Still no apology, just rudeness and finally got a mug with a tea bag in but no pot. I actually never want to return to this branch. Given me a good reason to use independent coffee shops more..

Had a cappuccino and cinnamon roll and frankly both lacked. The cappuccino was more a latte…was a big fan. The focus is on ‘was’

It was 7 in the morning and a lovely guy with little braids welcomed me as if I were the best thing in his day. So kind! Great cappuccino

Very wonderful, all the foods are delicious, sweet and salty, delicious and of great variety.. The dried tomato and pesto quiche is delicious. The egg sandwich is excellent. The ricotta and strawberries are very sweet. Really delicious. Everything they have is worth trying.. The tea is in a jug and is enough for two to three people, and it is heavy enough for milk. There are indoor sessions and in the basement. The service is excellent and fast.

A little noisy, however wonderful food, and really nice coffee.

Bread and coffee are delicious. I bought and ate two bagels, and the combination was good, so I had a delicious lunch. I personally liked the iced Americano because it had a savory taste.

The barrister charged me 4.30 pounds for a take away small latte ??…. That’s not the first time that they over charge clients without realizing it .

I didn't love the layout of the store, it isn't as cosy as I would like from a cafe. I did however try the dark hot chocolate which was very dark chocolatey! I haven't been in to many Gail's but I will revisit and give it another shot sometime.

GAIL's Bakery was a phenomenal find on our recent trip to London. I'm a foodie from Portland, Oregon, so I always seek out quality food options for my family when we travel. We first stopped in for a loaf of sourdough bread so we could make quick breakfasts at the apartment. We're not big pastry eaters, but the mix of savory and sweet pastries were appealing, so we ended up coming back the next day for breakfast. We especially loved the ham and cheese croissant, but the sausage roll, pain au chocolat, and the 10 other things we tried were fantastic as well. We loved the coffee and the kombucha too. We came here six times in four days! I was shocked that we were all so satiated and had stable blood sugar eating from a bakery so often, but the sourdough process and the lower sugar content really matter. GAIL's was always bustling but we found seating, enjoyed the dog-friendly atmosphere, and staff that were willing to answer my quality and sourcing questions. The prices at GAIL's are fantastic for the quality. We just went for a similar breakfast at home and literally paid twice as much for things that were half as delicious.

I kept coming back for the entirety of my trip in London! The consistency of the coffee is so ideal for a go-to cafe to start off your day. Also, the selection of pastries is something. I could never decide what I wanted! There’s too much to choose from. The cinnamon bun was honestly my favourite from what I’ve tried. It’s not too sweet, I loved it.

There are many locations and we went into at least three of them! The plain scones were my fave! But the other bread options were really good too. The salmon with cream cheese bagel is highly recommended as well as the lemongrass ginger tea.

The food was great and the gentleman serving it was very professional and polite, but the woman serving the coffee acted as if I was something that she'd just stepped in. It seemed like a class thing. I would never drink something that was prepared by someone who seems to regard me as vermin, so I can't say whether my drink was good or bad.

Walking through the door of Gail’s bakery on High Street Kensington is always a delight. From the moment you step inside, you are warmly welcomed by Messi and her friendly team. Their friendly smiles make you feel right at home. I love starting my day here with a cup of coffee and a freshly baked croissant. It’s a joy to watch the bakers at work while enjoying my morning treat. The pastries are always fresh and delicious, leaving me wanting to try more with each visit. Overall, Gail’s bakery on High Street Kensington provides a wonderful bakery experience that I recommend to anyone in the area. Thank you to Messi and her team for always making my visits enjoyable.

I never liked sausage rolls until I ate theirs. The food I bought was amazing and flavoursome. The salmon and avocado was so delicious. The cakes were divine. I will always look to eat here when I’m in London. Thank you for opening my eyes to really tasty food when we are surrounded by burgers and pizza etc.

El lugar es súper bonito, para parar a tomar un café y un pastel. Los precios me parecieron un poco altos. Me pedí un sea salt caramel banana bread me costó alrededor de 4 pounds y era pequeño. Los muffins si me parecieron buenos estaban alrededor de 3 pounds.

After a walk at Holland Park, I was hungry I walked past this place and saw the look of salmon so I gave it a try and here I am giving it a rate

I’ve been a loyal customer, went in today with my coffee card (not aware that they had stopped taking them). I was turned away by the manager saying that they no longer take the cards even with full stamps. What kind of customer service is this? You keep your customers by at least honouring the card for the last time. I spent hundred of pounds at this cafe. Low rating due to poor customer service, won’t be going back.

Great location for visiting the nearby Design Museum. We enjoyed Gail's cinnamon buns and cappuccino - two of each came to a total of £16. The cappuccino was at the perfect temperature - not scalding hot, like it is at other places. It's difficult to get a seat here at weekends but you never know, you may time it perfectly and strike it lucky! We paid extra to sit in but others nearby were eating out of bags and drinking from paper cups - not good to not support the cafe if you're sitting in.

Lovely place to enjoy a delicious light meal and dessert. Friendly service and great atmosphere.

Bread was always fresh, and good, but I have to say the price of bread were kinda over priced, and if you eat in the shop you have to pay more. Take out will be a bit cheaper, that I don’t know why🙄

This is the best Gail’s branch I visited. Clean, airy, bright. The staff is polite, works fast, gives the order I ordered and don’t overcharge. So I would recommend this branch.

Food was delicious but the ladies making coffees this morning have let you down. Huffing and Puffing when you asked them for a glass of water. You pay a fortune to eat here .. you should at least smile a little or interact like you want to be at work.

Have always dropped by Gail's when in London. Always a wonderful sight to see their pastries and options all laid out. Loved their cinnamon roll and also their ham and cheese croissant. Limited seating though.

Great but overpriced. I love the vibe of Gail’s but the price increase for everything eat-in is too much, absurd. Considering they won’t even heat up your focaccia!

Very good coffee, the spinach roll is delicious. Our 7 year old boy enjoyed his Salmon bagel and apple juice. Will return here again, recommended for lunch and coffee

Spectacular array of pastries. However, let down by the coffee (flat white & cortado) which was milky and weak, and also served in a cardboard cup by default even though we were having it in. Also quite annoying and intrusive music.

Very rarely had a good soy latte during our Europe trip. My soy latte today here was great. The shop was very busy but staff were super friendly.

The most baked goods you’ve ever seen squeezed into a tiny corner store ever and they are all delicious. The only trouble you’ll have is choosing what to take home with you. :)

A £9. 00 una pinta, es la estafa más grande que una cruz en un tiempo. Cuando la comida llegó, era claramente inferior a la media, si el menú de charlas lo bueno la comida es, entonces, el chef tiene para ofrecer. . No me.

Food was average to good, well presented and tasty but just like regular Indian restaurant. Business dinner for 2 was £98 inc service for starters mains and a couple of pints each. No deserts coffees etc. So we'll over the top. Friendly staff and good atmosphere in a very convenient location just off Ken high st. Think if I was in this area again I'd go else where if spending £50 per head.

4 personnes un samedi soir. Salle très petite, complet à 19h30. Personnel agréable, table spatieuse. Plats savoureux, prix corrects. 2 entrées pour 4 c'était un peu juste mais les plats principaux étaient copieux.

Este es nuestro restaurante local indio y nos sentimos muy afortunados. Todo lo que usted podría querer de un "estilo antiguo" restaurante indio. No es lujoso, pero no es de muy buena calidad y con una buena relación calidad-precio. Servicio amistoso y un buen llevar ofrece . Nos lo usa regularmente.

Esta es la primera vez que he utilizado el Kensington Tandoori. Nos metimos en un sábado por la noche concurrida y nos alojaron en un problema. El menú es bastante normal pero todo está preparado a pedido y las raciones son vendidos individualmente. El gobhi Aloo era muy agradable, quizás las mejores que he tenido. El precio es bastante razonable para la zona. Una comida y bebidas cuestan £42 para dos.

Fuimos al restaurante a 9:20 así que no estaba muy lleno ... conseguimos una mesa enseguida y servido por un camarero muy amable y atento. Bueno llegó rápido y era maravilloso ... gran selección de todo.

Although the food was tasty and the service prompt we were surprised and very disappointed by the lack of friendliness and courtesy by the waiters. We found both waiters surly (is a smile so difficult?) and felt hurried through our meal even though we had arrived early in the evening and the restaurant was quiet.

I have Visited this Indian Tandoori several times with a Celebrity friend, who treated me to an absolutely beautiful King Prawn Madras, Pilau Rice, Naan Bread & Onion Bharji along with all the trimmings for extras. great wine too!I have visited this place several times in the last two years and never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food is always cooked to order and served nicely and without exception enjoyed every mouthful.I do love Indian food and apart from my local restaurant in Northamptonshire that I have reviewed previously, when in London this is my chosen place and frequently used by Celebs in the area.So if you fancy a good Curry in Kensington, I definitely recommend The Kensington Tandoori. Although not the plushest of Restaurant's inside the ambience is lovely and the atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable.Always busy on a Friday and Saturday, so best to book.

Called in here fairly late one summers evening. The staff seemed fairly accommodating at first but it soon went downhill. Firstly one order of a coke arrived in the can with a straw!The starters were ok but about 1/2 through eating them a waiter came and half informed us that our main course was ready. We said "thanks" and assumed nothing of it. They then proceeded to bring out the main course and take away our unfinished starters. We complained and they begrudgingly piled the main course on our tiny table alongside the starters. Luckily for us the table next to us was vacant so we put the main course on their whilst we finished our starters.I feel obliged to point out that neither of us are especially slow eaters!When we were three quarters of the way through the starters the staff again tried to remove them so we sent them away again! After that they were decent enough to let us finish our starters in peace, although we had to swap all the plates over ourselves for the main course.The food itself was ok at best, although my partners meal was lukewarm and certainly not worth the bad service. At the end of the meal the waiter had the nerve to specifically point out to me that a service charge was not included by a) telling me verbally andb) pointing to the part of the bill where it said service was not included.While we were gathering ourselves to leave the waiter kept hovering nearby and watching us to see if we left a tip. Suffice to say we did not. My partner and I were shocked at the service we received. If I could I would have given a zero star review.

We arrived tonight an hour before expected closure to find the staff hoovering downstairs and the words of the staff 'order fast please!'. The guy working the restaurant was pleasant but the others were obviously annoyed because they wanted to go home early. We ordered our meal and a bottle of wine, and during the next 45 mins were checked on constantly to see if we had finished! When we had finished, the bill arrived in break neck speed and he then spent the next ten mins hanging over us to see if we were ready to pay, when we paid he then pointed us towards the service charge! Over my dead body were the words! We have been going to this restaurant a couple of times a year for the past ten years and never again! What an absolute let down.
