Masala Zone Earls Court in Kensington and Chelsea

I always get home delivery from this branch as I live over in south London. In fact it’s the only place I order Asian food from. The food is delicious , especially the curries that are always cooked with tender chicken thighs, not like the horrible dry hard chicken breasts you get in other restaurants. The food is always delivered on time, hot and well packaged. My only tiny gripe is the Dahl can sometimes be a little bland otherwise top marks from me.

As Belgians, Indian food is definitely out of our wheel house, but the friendly staff made sure to give us their recommendations & ensured we had the best items on the menu. The appetizers were delicious, as well as the butter chicken and prawn curry we had. We will definitely come again next time we’re in London!

Wallpaper paste Korma and tasteless peshwari nan. I have never eaten a meal with less flavour and such an unpleasant texture. Order something else or try another restaurant. So disappointing.

A big thank you for this delicious meal, a great discovery for us French, even if we are not used to eating spicy food it was a pure delight from start to finish. The waitresses/waiters are very friendly and attentive :)!

9 adults and a 2 year old in a high chair . Early evening booking. , staff attentive , lovely environment and atmosphere. Menu good , food excellent slightly out of the ordinary. Very receptive to the needs of a chid , even a children’s menu, the food on this was also excellent a very mild chicken korma. A lovely evening in a lovely place. Thank you.

Not very well tasting indian food. Quite disappointed. The lamb stew had only a few shops of lamb, the rest was veggies and fat. We where compensated though with another dish of lamb. You have to pay extra 4.50 for the rice!

Nice food, small portions, and slightly expensive but tasty. We were especially disappointed with the size of the grilled tofu dish. It was 2 squares cut into 4 triangular pieces with a few grilled onions and peppers. For £15. The tofu was supposed to be grilled but was still very white, cold, and squishy.

The food and service were good, restaurant was clean and modern. We had a memorable family meal and enjoyed ourselves in the good atmosphere here. I would recommend.

Good food, authentic Indian spices, my only point is the portion size compared to the price wished they serve a bit bigger portion tho. It was created in 2001 out of a passion for customers to enjoy proper Indian food as eaten by Indians daily in India. This was after the success with CHUTNEY MARY & VEERASWAMY, the celebrated fine dining Indian restaurants. This was to counter the false image that the thousands of Bangladeshi curry-houses in the UK served authentic Indian food. The first Masala Zone restaurant, in Soho, rapidly became one of the most popular Indian restaurants in the UK. There are now 4 restaurants all in London.

Delicious food and excellent service. We visited on Saturday night with a table booked for 8.30. We were warmly greeted on arrival and drinks orders were taken promptly. There was no rushing involved throughout and we weren’t pressure to buy more drinks. As we eat a great deal of Indian food, it was great to have some options that are a variation on the standard. Starters were excellent and hard to choose as there were so many that sounded delicious. Madras Chicken 65, Fishcakes and Poppadums were perfect and the Tomato and Chilli Chutney was brilliant. Mains we ordered two curries. Our server did warn my son that his choice (Mangalore Chicken?) was very spicy… precisely why he ordered it! I had the Malabar Green Curry, sharing a rice and Garlic Naan. All was delicious. Thanks everyone for a great evening.

We had fishcakes, a lamb thing and samoas to start. And biryanis for mains. All tasted delicious. I think I prefer the ambiance of this location to that of CG. I had an amazing almond and rose sour cocktail too - delicious. Service was excellent as I d expect. Definitely worth a visit.

Ever been to a restaurant, spend more than a 100 quid and walk out hungry and with an added bonus of being insulted by your host? Masala zone, Earl's Court achieved it. Portions are small, food is delicious, scant vegetarian choices. When taking payment, the host showed the machine, walked off while we were thanking him didn't even bother acknowledging us

A visit to London winter wonderland with my family was to incorporate a tasty Indian meal before hand My son choose the Masala Zone after eating in a another restaurant of the chain. The Restaurant was well decorated and the staff attentive . The menu was limited to 10-15 main courses and whilst the choice wasn't the best , you believe that the taste would be ! i was wrong ! With the Luke warm Rogan gosh coming out on cold bowls and simply put it was curried gravy with 6-8 pieces of lamb . It was obliviously batch cooked and it was the most disappointing curry i have had in a restaurant. i have had better in a kebab shop ! At £18 you should expected better and i would avoid it if you like a tasty ( warm) curry .

Delish Indian tapas served promptly. Had a non alcoholic cocktail too. One of the dishes was a bit spicy and the the friendly waiter brought me a lassi quickly.

What a good atmosphere! Good food and cocktails. The only thing to improve is the toilet. It could do with a touch-up.

We could not order a masala due the chefs religion, can only get chicken or lamb, they add their own tip to the bill ..they tried to scam us on card payment they tried to charge us £55 for 2 pepsi we left disapointed as we could not order beef.

Our favorite Indian food spot nearby house. Their Biriyani is authentic. I loved the place very much.

The following items were disappointing: Dahl Paneer makhanwala Chappatis Very expensive overall so you would expect it to be worth it. We offered to come again next year as we often go to the Soho restaurant of this mini chain which is far better. Yes, the same cooking formula is used but there is a marked difference from the Soho restaurant. Manager was apologetic which we were sympathetic to and offered free dessert. We declined. We agreed that we would come again next year and see if any better before we sign this restaurant off. Been around the world so we know what this food tastes like or supposed to taste like. I would also suggest just a couple more vegetarian dishes. The staff were great....I suggest the manager sits with me next time ....I can talk about food all day.

الصراحه الاكل جدا جميل بنسبه لي افضل برياني دجاج مجرب من قبل في لندن مع تجربة المطاعم الأخرى هذا الافضل بنسبه لي طبعا اختلاف الأذواق والأطباق اللي طلبنها لذيذه جدا مافي اي غلطه في النكهات الملاحظه هي انه طبق البرياني والكميه جدا قليل اللي يحب الاكل يطلب طبقين 🤣 Honestly, the food is very nice. This is the best chicken biryani I have ever tried in London. For your information, I have tried biryani in other restaurants, this is the best for me. Tastes are different and the dishes he orders are very delicious. A simple note: the biryani dish is small and the quantity is very small. Whoever loves to eat orders two plates of biryani 🤣

Everything was amazing – in our two-day weekend trip to London, we aimed to hit up this place "twice," but unfortunately ended up making it just once! That really says a lot about how much we savored the food, valued the service, and liked in the ambiance.

Vi bestilte en menu med 7 små retter som skulle gøre det ud for en hovedret. De kom ind to og to med lidt pause imellem. Alle retter var velsmagende og helt anderledes en standardretter på en indisk restaurant i Danmark.

Good Indian food within the center of Earl’s Court A cozy restaurant with candle light atmosphere Was pretty busy Ona Tuesday night Food is very good we ordered Jelabi chat and The lamb sliders 🍔 as a start which was ridiculously delicious we followed that with Lamb biryanis -butter chicken and dal Mekni and garlic nan and white rice + water Paid 74 with vat and service charge we were party of 2 but food can be enough for 3 Flavours were good and balanced portions are typical Indian restaurants for me it was better than the overpriced deshoom No photos as we were very hungry that we couldn’t wait 😄 I recommend the place.

If you are after authentic curries then this is not the place. I found it just a little overpriced compared to others locally. Very average.

Great choice of Indian food, not your usual run of the mill stuff. I had a dahi puri and guppa pops to start and alleppey prawn curry, all very tasty. Staff were also very friendly and knowledgeable.

It’s a pretty solid place to get some curries. Butter Chicken and Korma were very good. Garlic naan was decent too. A bit expensive for curries. Nonetheless a good meal.

The decor and the service was top notch. Food was great and presented well but the portions were small especially compared to the price so it left us a bit unsatisfied.

We found the food at this location very good, and the service was excellent, and overall good value. The only issue we had was the somewhat limited menu – perhaps because it’s a regional specific Indian territory? We’re used to having a wider choice at our local Indian food restaurants. That said, we found enough alternatives here to keep us happy. We’ll probably return in the future.

I think I’ve just had one of the best Indian meals ever. The restaurant is very clean and in character. I ordered Lamb Biryani and a naan. The lamb was melt-in-the-mouth tender and combined with the rice and vegetables to give a beautiful taste. The raita was the perfect dipping accompaniment and the naan just finished off a superb meal. The staff were attentive, friendly, and helped me with advice on my order. I can’t comment on desserts etc because I was full. I think I will be back tomorrow night. I highly recommend this restaurant. KW, Australia

Food and service was great but the wine list is overpriced for it's choice. I say this as someone who has experience. But definitely worth a visit for food and service.

Zo duur voor wat je krijgt. Ik heb op heel veel plekken Indiaas gegeten maar dit viel echt tegen. Nooit meer voor ons. Bijna 70 pond betaald voor 2 butterchicken en rijst, die je apart van elkaar moet bestellen.. plus nog betalen voor de service. Echt belachelijk.

C'est un des restaurants "Masala Zone", donc je savais à quoi m'attendre mais comme il est dans un quartier moins touristique que les autres, il est agréable et surtout (un peu) moins cher. Les papads (galettes croustillantes) sont délicieux. Les curry également - j'ai essayé le "poulet Mangalore", agréablement piquant. Très bons desserts aussi (Kulfi, Gulab). Le service a été charmant et très attentionné. Un bémol: ce n'est pas souvent ouvert le midi. Je ne pourrai pas revenir lors de ce séjour-ci et je le regrette. Une très bonne adresse.

We accidentally stumbled upon this gem as this was nearest to our hotel in Earl's court. It was the best food we've had in last couple of years so we ended up going twice in two days..truly reminded me of authentic Delhi taste. The starters were particularly lovely. The main course itself was amazing.The staff was courteous. Overall a great place to have quality food.

Cucina di altissimo livello qualitativo e gusto straordinario. Nella mostruosa offerta gastronomica si contraddistingue per non essere il solito luogo turistico ma un tranquillo posto per gustare la migliore cucina indiana. Bravi. Prezzi assolutamente concorrenziali anche rispetto ai vari pub o fast food

Heerlijk gegeten. We namen de 7 gerechten om te delen met 3 personen . We werden geadviseerd om het voor 2 personen te doen. Bestelde nog 2 naanbrood erbij. Dit was meer dan genoeg. Dochter die niet van pittig eten houdt bestelde iets anders, werd gezegd dat het niet pittig was. Dit was was toch te pittig voor haar, kreeg heel aardig een mango smoothie om te blussen van het huis.

Decent Indian food with a menu including dishes from across India. The interior and ambience is cosy and perfect for a quiet dinner with friends and family to hosting a special occasion. They also have a good selection of cocktails/mocktails. The menu was full of solid dishes like Chicken 65, Allepey prawn curry, Lucknow biryani, the dhal and also make sure you get some roti to mop up the curries.
