Masala Zone Earls Court in Kensington and Chelsea

I loved going to this place a lot but they have become so expensive these days. Chose the cheapest thali (£ 19.75) and a mango lassi (£ 6.50). That's way too much! No wonder they keep closing one branch after the other.

We recently tried some Indian appetizers, and they were quite good. The flavors were nice, though a bit on the spicy side. Overall, the seasoning was well done. If you're okay with a little spice, they're worth trying.

Visiting from US and was staying in the area so decided to try out this restaurant. The food was so good I ended up eating here 3 times during my stay. Service and staff were extremely helpful and polite. Their appetizers were so good we ended up ordering more of them and 1-2 main dishes.

Tried their thaali and enjoyed it . I will visit again

London ohne indisches Essen, da fehlt etwas. Den Abend mit einem Bollywood Star gestartet, überaus lecker, was auch für die Samosa als Vorspeise gilt. Zwei sehr aromatische und gut gewürzte Dips, welche Laune auf mehr machten. Als Hauptgang Chicken Mangalore, mit 2 Chilis als das schärfste Gericht auf der Karte angezeigt. Was den Schärfegrad angeht, ist noch deutlich Luft nach oben. Aber überaus schmackhaft und mit einem Wasser für 43 Pfund incl. Service im Rahmen für Londoner Verhältnisse.

Masala Zone (Earl’s Court) has been a reliable and delicious portion for me when I visit London. The service and food quality is always top notch. Don’t miss out on the samosas!

We loved the food so much that we ate here twice during our stay in London. The flavors and quality were absolutely top-notch, easily ranking this restaurant as one of my favorites in the city. The restaurant staff and quality of service was excellent. I've dined at Dishoom before, and I can confidently say that some dishes here were on par, if not better. Every bite felt authentic and full of flavor, a perfect balance of spices. I highly recommend this restaurant to friends, family, and anyone traveling to London. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss if you enjoy great Indian cuisine!

One of the best Indian restaurants I have eaten in. The staff has great service and good manners. Our orders for delicious chicken biryani, butter chicken and chicken 65 were all delicious. I ate there maybe four times in a short period 👍🏻

Typical and real Indian cuisine. Spicing well balanced with no exageration. Personnel of great help in explaining and adbising on the different dishes . Will definitely recommend it.

This is one of the greatest Indian places that I have eaten in London. The food is super good and it tasted just like food from India. The mixed with the music that they have moves the dish to your heart. I will continue to go here when I come back to London.

Marsala Zone is very close to Earl’s Court station. The staff were very welcoming and the service very fast. Food was excellent and a taste sensation. They talked us through the menu and were happy to give recommendations and see how we enjoyed the food. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

We had dinner here with our 6yo son. The waiter was very polite and helpful with the menu. They also were great with our son. They have a kids menu with authentic Indian food options. Food was great, portions big.and the price totally ok.

Good Indian food. Flavourful and clearly made with quality ingredients. The interior is beautiful and the ambience of the restaurant is nice in the evening with low level lighting, candles etc. Highly recommend the Chicken Mangalore and the Butter Chicken Thali.

Marsala Zone is close to Earl’s Court station so easy to get to. Food is very good and the service friendly. Nice ambiance although the delivery drivers can be a bit irritating if you sit in the window seats.

Malai chicken tikka was very good. Lamb Rogan Josh lacked a bit of complex flavors. The cheese naan and cucumber nimboo pani are worth ordering too! Extremely friendly service from Christopher!

Really good to visit a Masala Zone outside of central London. It was much more spacious here than Covent Garden and Soho. Service excellent and good evening better. Very consistent with their other restaurants.

The atmosphere and staff were very friendly and reachable. Food was really tasty and authentic but however I felt the gravy portion was a little small but overall pretty satisfied 💯

Really bad food felt like frozen I ordered butter chicken and garlic naan and chicken biriyani and really bad experience overall I will not recommend anyone ever again

Nice atmosphere & deco. Service very good. Food is ok but portions are very small for the price. The naan, @ over £4, was terrible-> Looked & tasted like had been prepared in a microwave. After pointing out it was sub par they kindly removed from the bill. Fair play. But still,one small bowl of curry at £15 add on extra for rice, +1 popadum & chutney & a glass of wine -> £38 .. pricey 😞

It's not just the East End where you'll find excellent Indian restaurants. Come to earl's court and head towards Masala Zone. You will not be deceived. A welcoming and smiling service. Take a thali, it's served in the traditional way (metal plate) and home-cooked! (Served with generosity). No regrets, it's India in all its contrasts and at its best.

Went to masala zone on Saturday 11th for a birthday meal with my parents and husband, but instead of it being a fun memorable evening with great food and company, the evening quickly became memorable for all the wrong reasons, I had ordered the bhel, which was shared among the table, to my first mouthful containing a very stringy item, which I thought was ginger so I kept moving it around my mouth, to finally figure out it was a massive clump of hair! As I was spitting it out in disgust the waiter asked if everything is okay. And I said “no I just had hair in my food and mouth” before I can take a picture of it she quickly rushed the plate off, told me a manager is coming to speak to me, she brought over another bhel, like I was going to eat that after the incident. Told her I cannot even look at it without envisioning hair. She took it away apologised told me a report is filed. Came to check in a few times. When it came to the bill she said we’ve already removed the bhel from the bill like they were doing me a favour! We saw the chef with the long hair, he didn’t have all his hair in the hair net! Disgusting!!! Since this incident, I have been so ill. Don’t think I will be going back for hair with a side off food.

Good Indian food taste but the only issue is parking in that area. We struggled one hour to park the car for dinner.

Masala Zone at Earl’s Court is decent place in terms of ambiance! Service was quick but a more personal touch is needed! In terms of food - should have been more vegetarian options, portions could have been bigger, naan bread could have been more crispier (edges were quite thick inspite of explicit request) - there is a bit of room for improvement in every department

I recently visited Masala Zone with a group of friends on July 11 to celebrate my friend's 27th birthday, and I must say that the entire experience was just amazing. From the moment we stepped foot inside, we were greeted with warm hospitality I had the pleasure of trying the chicken Briyani, and I must say it was the best I've ever tasted. Before our main course, we tried in the panipuris as starters, and they were a delightful treat. Despite arriving extremely late when the kitchen was about to close, the staff members at Masala Zone were incredibly friendly. They never rushed us or made us feel unwelcome. They also ensured we had a wonderful time and even allowed us to order more food at a later stage. The level of service we received was truly excellent, and it made our celebration even more enjoyable. The interior decor is stunning, providing a great experience I highly recommend Masala Zone to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

A very excellent experience. All the employees are respectful and helpful. The price of two chicken biryani and chicken tikka dishes is 38 pounds.

Very kind staff and a beautiful establishment, but absolutely not worth the price. The drinks and the curries were very obviously watered down and rice--a core component of all curry dishes--was not automatically included and in fact cost nearly £5 extra. Both the rice and the curries were themselves rather small portions with a very low meat-sauce ratio, and, in regards to flavour, was absolutely sub-par, and tasted more like the result of a 30-min internet recipe than an ostensibely fancy resturant. The worst part, though, is the 12.5% gratuity service charge automatically added to all checks, the addition of which they do not clear with the customer first (beyond writing it at the bottom of the menu in small print). We spent nearly £100 and departed still-hungry and more than a little disappointed.

As an Indian,i can vouch for the authenticity of the food,the only downside is that the prices a little bit on the higher side,but other than that the ambiance of the place is really calming, the staff seemed really amicable, a shoutout to our waiter for that day Christopher who was great.

Had a great experience dining here. Service was excellent and atmosphere was perfect. Both chicken and lamb Thali were delicious however portion could've been slightly bigger for it's price. Will come back again.

I always get home delivery from this branch as I live over in south London. In fact it’s the only place I order Asian food from. The food is delicious , especially the curries that are always cooked with tender chicken thighs, not like the horrible dry hard chicken breasts you get in other restaurants. The food is always delivered on time, hot and well packaged. My only tiny gripe is the Dahl can sometimes be a little bland otherwise top marks from me.

As Belgians, Indian food is definitely out of our wheel house, but the friendly staff made sure to give us their recommendations & ensured we had the best items on the menu. The appetizers were delicious, as well as the butter chicken and prawn curry we had. We will definitely come again next time we’re in London!

Wallpaper paste Korma and tasteless peshwari nan. I have never eaten a meal with less flavour and such an unpleasant texture. Order something else or try another restaurant. So disappointing.

Very receptive to the needs of a chid , even a children’s menu, the food on this was also excellent a very mild chicken korma. A lovely evening in a lovely place. Thank you.

Not very well tasting indian food. Quite disappointed. The lamb stew had only a few shops of lamb, the rest was veggies and fat. We where compensated though with another dish of lamb. You have to pay extra 4.50 for the rice!

One of the restaurants we visit regularly when we in London. İ like their concept and the menu.

Nice food, small portions, and slightly expensive but tasty. We were especially disappointed with the size of the grilled tofu dish. It was 2 squares cut into 4 triangular pieces with a few grilled onions and peppers. For £15. The tofu was supposed to be grilled but was still very white, cold, and squishy.

The food and service were good, restaurant was clean and modern. We had a memorable family meal and enjoyed ourselves in the good atmosphere here. I would recommend.

Delicious food and excellent service. We visited on Saturday night with a table booked for 8.30. We were warmly greeted on arrival and drinks orders were taken promptly. There was no rushing involved throughout and we weren’t pressure to buy more drinks. As we eat a great deal of Indian food, it was great to have some options that are a variation on the standard. Starters were excellent and hard to choose as there were so many that sounded delicious. Madras Chicken 65, Fishcakes and Poppadums were perfect and the Tomato and Chilli Chutney was brilliant. Mains we ordered two curries. Our server did warn my son that his choice (Mangalore Chicken?) was very spicy… precisely why he ordered it! I had the Malabar Green Curry, sharing a rice and Garlic Naan. All was delicious. Thanks everyone for a great evening.

We had fishcakes, a lamb thing and samoas to start. And biryanis for mains. All tasted delicious. I think I prefer the ambiance of this location to that of CG. I had an amazing almond and rose sour cocktail too - delicious. Service was excellent as I d expect. Definitely worth a visit.

Ever been to a restaurant, spend more than a 100 quid and walk out hungry and with an added bonus of being insulted by your host? Masala zone, Earl's Court achieved it. Portions are small, food is delicious, scant vegetarian choices. When taking payment, the host showed the machine, walked off while we were thanking him didn't even bother acknowledging us

Delish Indian tapas served promptly. Had a non alcoholic cocktail too. One of the dishes was a bit spicy and the the friendly waiter brought me a lassi quickly.

A visit to London winter wonderland with my family was to incorporate a tasty Indian meal before hand My son choose the Masala Zone after eating in a another restaurant of the chain. The Restaurant was well decorated and the staff attentive . The menu was limited to 10-15 main courses and whilst the choice wasn't the best , you believe that the taste would be ! i was wrong ! With the Luke warm Rogan gosh coming out on cold bowls and simply put it was curried gravy with 6-8 pieces of lamb . It was obliviously batch cooked and it was the most disappointing curry i have had in a restaurant. i have had better in a kebab shop ! At £18 you should expected better and i would avoid it if you like a tasty ( warm) curry .

What a good atmosphere! Good food and cocktails. The only thing to improve is the toilet. It could do with a touch-up.

We could not order a masala due the chefs religion, can only get chicken or lamb, they add their own tip to the bill ..they tried to scam us on card payment they tried to charge us £55 for 2 pepsi we left disapointed as we could not order beef.

Our favorite Indian food spot nearby house. Their Biriyani is authentic. I loved the place very much.

The following items were disappointing: Dahl Paneer makhanwala Chappatis Very expensive overall so you would expect it to be worth it. We offered to come again next year as we often go to the Soho restaurant of this mini chain which is far better. Yes, the same cooking formula is used but there is a marked difference from the Soho restaurant. Manager was apologetic which we were sympathetic to and offered free dessert. We declined. We agreed that we would come again next year and see if any better before we sign this restaurant off. Been around the world so we know what this food tastes like or supposed to taste like. I would also suggest just a couple more vegetarian dishes. The staff were great....I suggest the manager sits with me next time ....I can talk about food all day.

This is the best chicken biryani I have ever tried in London. For your information, I have tried biryani in other restaurants, this is the best for me. Tastes are different and the dishes he orders are very delicious. A simple note: the biryani dish is small and the quantity is very small. Whoever loves to eat orders two plates of biryani 🤣

Everything was amazing – in our two-day weekend trip to London, we aimed to hit up this place "twice," but unfortunately ended up making it just once! That really says a lot about how much we savored the food, valued the service, and liked in the ambiance.

Vi bestilte en menu med 7 små retter som skulle gøre det ud for en hovedret. De kom ind to og to med lidt pause imellem. Alle retter var velsmagende og helt anderledes en standardretter på en indisk restaurant i Danmark.

Good Indian food within the center of Earl’s Court A cozy restaurant with candle light atmosphere Was pretty busy Ona Tuesday night Food is very good we ordered Jelabi chat and The lamb sliders 🍔 as a start which was ridiculously delicious we followed that with Lamb biryanis -butter chicken and dal Mekni and garlic nan and white rice + water Paid 74 with vat and service charge we were party of 2 but food can be enough for 3 Flavours were good and balanced portions are typical Indian restaurants for me it was better than the overpriced deshoom No photos as we were very hungry that we couldn’t wait 😄 I recommend the place.

If you are after authentic curries then this is not the place. I found it just a little overpriced compared to others locally. Very average.
