Ted's in Gwynedd

We stopped at Ted's looking for a light and gluten free takeaway lunch. This was the most perfect place. The food selection was outstanding, the gluten free options were great with kind offers to improvise if there was something particular I wanted. We had the maple chicken (gluten free) and the steak fries with stilton sauce. And oh my goodness these were the most perfectly prepared, presented and most delicious dishes we've had for a very long lime! Thank you to the 2 members of staff who went out of their way to make this a great beach day out!

Stopped by today for lunch with my partner and our toddler. 1 meat eater, 1 vegan and 1 dairy free. We all had plenty of choice and each of the mains - burgers and tacos - was delicious. The fries on the side were pretty average. 5* hygiene rating now, so hopefully the poor review mentioning this won’t put people off! There is no toilet, so if you sit in make sure you stop by the public toilets opposite first. It isn’t super speedy street food - we were 1 of 3 tables today and it took around 15 minutes - so bear this in mind if you pop in for a takeaway.

We were looking around for something quick and simple on a rainy week night during a recent 10 day stay in Barmouth - as a number of other local places were either shut or fully booked. We found that Ted’s was open and not too busy and thought we would give it a go. We were very pleased with our choice - I had a Buddha bowl with Chinese chicken and my partner had a burger. We found both to be tasty and fresh (though I think the chicken was reheated but that’s not unusual in restaurants…) It is also very reasonably priced. Ted’s doesn’t sell alcohol but there pubs nearby you can grab a drink before or after. We only found out about it’s 1 star hygiene rating after our visit which seems a real shame given the experience we had - hopefully they are working on getting it improved and reassessed soon.

Absolute gorgeous food. Best food we’ve had all of our wales holiday. Sea bass taco are to die for. We will definately be back

Food took 40 minutes to arrive and was pretty basic. It’s just cheap fries smothered in processed cheese sauce with various toppings.

staff polite and friendly, our youngest daughter is a fussy eater and my partner ordered the food and forgot order hers without the signature sauce on the burger but to our surprise she ate the whole thing, See you next year unless we are in Barmouth before.

Should have seen the 1 yes 1 hygiene rate in the window but it had been cleverly hidden by a chair. Family of 4 had food, it was tough hard to chew. Not surprised the following day we were all unwell. If I had noticed the 1 star for hygiene I would have never eaten here and now I know why.

This place is amazing. We went for dinner as a family of 5 and tried a variety of burgers and loaded fries between us. Everything was exceptional. We all enjoyed our meals very much. Service was friendly and efficient. We sat in (as it was very rainy) and its also a lively place to sit in and eat. A great addition to Barmouth's sea front.

7 of us popped in as everywhere else was booked. Thank god, we all loved it. Kids described it as the best chicken burger ever, banging, yum yum. The food was excellent, coupled with friendly service And all for under £100…..bonus We’ll defo be back

Absolutely incredible food! We had maple chicken burgers and they were absolutely delicious. Nicest takeaway in Barmouth! They do need to work on their customer service, it took a really long time for them to acknowledge us... But their amazing food made up for it.

Wasn't sure what to expect.. Been coming to Barmouth for over 30years. This place was just what it needed. Dog friendly unlike most places. Food was amazing, very impressed with all meals we had. Signature burger, maple burger, steak burger, and the spice box all fantastic and very filling. Was short staffed when we got there so waited a while but again well worth the wait as its all cooked fresh. Keep up the fab work guys!

Amazing food, and amazingly for me - a gluten free menu! As a coeliac this is a dream come true - eating GF is really hard in Barmouth, they have a separate frier and clean surfaces down to avoid contamination. I had a GF fried chicken burger, and there were a few other option too. The normal menu also looked brilliant and everyone left well fed and happy 😊

Amazing little place, chefs were friendly and constantly singing which was lovely because you could see they were passionate in what they were doing. Had a nourish bowl with Chinese chicken which was amazing. My only criticism would be to make it more clear of the spices!. I had salt and pepper fries and was expecting just that but unfortunately they were laced with chillies! Very spicy. I managed them however my partner didn't. All in all, very clean place, the food menu is vast with loads of choices. Option to eat in/out and takeaway. Would come here again.

What a great find! As a coeliac it can be really difficult to find places that cater for the gluten free diet. Unable to find a chip shop, we stumbled across Ted's. They have a gluten free menu!!! You can eat in or take away....

Amazing! Loved it! Great staff would highly recommend the chicken wings and the nourish bowl was amazing! Just what Barmouth needs
