Greeted with a smile from the friendly staff on a ridiculously hot afternoon. We had fish and chips, homemade beef chilli and chips and a massive burger and chips. All freshly made and served pretty quickly. Delicious food. We'll be back on our next holiday

This has been our "go to" chippy since it opened and have never had cause to complain however the visit today was pretty poor. 2 large Cod - 1 large chips is what we always have and its usually more than enough however this time i was genuinely shocked when we got home and opened up the boxes. One piece of cod (supposedly large) was a thin strip mostly batter - the second piece was about 3/4 the size of the first. Combined they wouldn't constitute what I would call a large. Usually with their "large" chips you can hardly close the box this time there was barely enough for one person. Felt ripped off to be honest and I appreciate prices are going up (5.50 for "large" cod) but I don't then expect the portion size to halve as well. ** TIP - open the boxes before you leave the shop **

Ordered cod chips and mushy peas - nothing complicated surely. Had a little wait on account they told me the fish had to be defrosted…. This had me worried but the fish was actually okay - but batter very greasy , chips were inedible definitely not freshly cooked - mushy peas were bright green - colouring? - but tasteless We only ate the fish and the rest was binned so definitely not returning

Stopped in for fish and chips for diner on Friday and ordered two large cod and chips to take away. The young lady serving at the counter was nice, but when we got home, we were less than impressed at the size of the cod which were swimming in grease. We tucked into it anyway and found the fish and chips quite pleasant, although this repeated on us later because it was so greasy. We won’t go back there in a hurry, sorry.

Excellent food. Friendly people. Need I say more.. Yes: home delivery of the finest quality products as well. See you soon again!

Me and my mate Chrith passed Mor on the way back from a Pasture conference and thought we’d give it a try. Their burger was phenomenal. I wish there was such a thing as tantric eating because you wanted it to last a long time. Highly recommend.

The only bad thing about this place is that it isn’t local to me, and I can only visit when passing through Penrhyndeudraeth. I can fully recommend the Wyddfa burger, always great quality and good service. Arbennig.

I visited Mor last summer as I was driving by. I was looking for something to eat. I had a Wyddfa burger. It was so good I ended up going back to get another one the same day. The BEEF was SO GOOD I don't recall anything like it. One of the girls behind the counter, said it is organic beef grass fed produced no far from Mor. If you are in the area, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you to try the Wyddfa burger. Last weekend I went to visit my friends near Snowdonia and I ended up going back to Mor. And I'll be back as long I'm in the area.

I went in here (wearing a face mask) yesterday lunchtime (Tuesday) to buy a takeaway lunch for Hubby and me. The young lady behind the counter was polite and helpful. I ordered 2 x large chips @ £3.50, 2 x small gravy @ 90p and 2 x buttered baps @ 60p. This came to a total of £9.10 which I paid by contactless card. We ate our meals in the park across the road. The food was hot, there were plenty of chips, and the gravy was thick and tasty. I would have given it the full 5 stars but they put a thin piece of newspaper at the bottom of the tray which became very soggy after the gravy had soaked in it! Although a messy process, I recommend you remove this paper asap to prevent you accidentally eating it!

Last night about 5pm told that the only pies left were steak so we ordered 2 with large chips and mushy peas. Pies were all dried up and hard (almost broke a filling), chips refried and greasy and peas were missing. Went back tonight to complain and ask for a refund rather than submit bad review but denied refund. Apparently Food Hygiene level 5!

Me & Hubby decided to get a takeaway lunch from here yesterday (Tuesday). He waited outside whilst I went in (face mask required). I ordered 2 chip butties which cost a reasonable £4 (contactless card payments accepted). There was hand sanitizer on the counter. The gent serving was pleasant and helpful. As it was a scorching hot day, we walked to the nearby park to eat our food. The small portion of chips was of average standard but the bap was unbuttered so it was a bit dry.

good hot food. we had to wait a while for our order as other customers who used the app got preferance. people who collected orders did not ware face masks. staff were working hard. very popular place.

Delicious food, would definitely recommend the ‘brisket burger’. Staff are excellent worked very hard during these uncertain times. The app ordering is a very good idea!

It may be just me, and others may think it is OK, but I don't like the system where if you have the app or phone number you can phone in your order and jump the queue. I can see it helps in quiet times, but on a friday evening in August it was not appropriate. So many local people were doing it when I went that the people not 'in the know' were waiting for a very long time. The people phoning in were also having to wait while their food was cooked - but at the front of the queue, not at the back. Standing outside, while the phone was answered inside again and again was a bit miserable. I also felt a bit of a Welsh/English divide which was not helpful. One person pushed in front of me explaining 'Excuse me, I only live round the corner'. If that happened to the wrong person in a pub there might be a fight. A few days later, at Criccieth, the Castle chip shop was just taking orders outside from the queue. Felt fair to everyone.

Well set - up for Covid-19, with no need to enter the shop to order. My chips were cooked perfectly, made from good quality potatoes. The fish had a lovely crunchy batter. There are vegetarian options as well as the expected fish, chips, pies etc....

Excellent food and friendly service. Best chip shop for miles. Wide range of choice on menu. We’ll be back!

Great that they are using locally produced beef amongst other ingredients. Lower the food miles - better then taste!

This little gem is one of my favourite finds, clean, crisp chips and a cod so tender it would melt in your mouth. Delicious.

Despite being highly recommended - we found the food to be very greasy to the point of being inedible. Would not recommend and won't be visiting this chip shop again. Suggest continuing your journey to Tremadog.
