Excellent quality and excellent service! We are so happy that it is open again! The best fish and chip shop over here!

I really love this family run business and miss it a lot. I hope everyone is ok and they're back up and running soon.

Our fav shop for fish and chips, we're sad that it has had a fire accident and closed for now, really hoping that the issue is fixed and they reopen soon.

I was surprised when i opened the box to see hard and dry brown colored chips that are placed horribly. It was as if the person making it just threw everything inside the box and called it a day! The presentation was awful and so are the taste of the chips! There were so dry that I only ate half of them. Only recommend if you don’t care about presentation and the flavor of the chips. The fish is good though.

It was ok when they delivered. Now they don't, you have to wait for 30 mins to order then collect the food

Been using this place regularly and I have to say, it’s by far the best Fish and Chips in the area. The chef/owner has a great personality and always has a chat with the regulars. On this occasion he overcharged be by mistake and I did not realise. However he apologised and gave me a refund of his own back. True gentleman and clearly very honest. There is always a queue at this place which results the food coming out always fresh from the kitchen. Their in-house made tartar sauce is a must. Unlike other places where they serve you ready made sachets, this place serves home made tartar sauce and mushy peas which really compliments the crispy cod. Great team and fantastic food. Highly recommend.

Best fish and chips in the area. Edit 20-10-2022 I have yet to be disappointed. Yes sometimes the chips could be a little bit more cooked, but who cares. It’s still very tasty.

Chips were hard and dry. Very surprising seeing the long queues outside. They have moved away from peanut oil frying - so those allergic to nuts it’s now an option for them to buy. Please see their allergen list on their website. Also ask on the day just to be sure. Unfortunately, not for me as it had no taste. You could unhealthily add more salt and vinegar, which I did a bit, but it was still far too bland and dry. Maybe I got a bad bunch on the day? So I may try again, but I don’t really want to buy them and have the same thing happen. We will see I guess.

Poor service. They let us wait outside and it was too cold. Bad aervice staff. Fish and xhips were not cooked properly. Not ro come back anymore....poorest quality of service.

Best fish and chip shop iv been to, I love the atmosphere, the staff and owner are always very welcoming and friendly, food 😍😍is amazing, I love the chicken grill burger but everything in the menu is by far incredible I truly recommend this fish shop their food is unbelievable Benn going for years now and still love it

The best batter, not too greasy and always crunchy! The homemade tartar sauce is delicious. Try their lemon sole and scampi - my favourites! Best fish and Chips in the area.

First time we've ordered. Arrived beautifully cooked, with plentiful amounts of really tasty fish cooked in a delicious gluten free batter. Easy to order online and delivered quickly. Couldn't be happier!

My hopes were high prior to trying for the first time after reading previous reviews. Ordered online and collected, the owner then gave me a telling off for paying card and collecting. Hopes still remained high as the other member of staff was actually pleasant and the food looked good. Upon arrival home (which took 5 minutes), the food was cold. Chips seemed to be frozen and from a packet and the tartar sauce was by far one of the worst things I’ve tasted! Will not be choosing to buy food here again and would not recommend. The only reason I have given 1 star is because there’s no option for 0 stars. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

By some distance the best fish and chip shop I've come across in London. Really special. Not just the quality, but the consistency - they cook to order and it's always good. Worth going out of your way for. Covid edit - they're really taking covid safety seriously, with hygiene, queuing outside, hand sanitizer available, very reassuring.

Excellent F&C at v reasonable price

I have been coming here a long time and always the service is amazing. The food is outstanding and the manager always treats each and every customer with the upmost respect and honesty. His team of staff are so friendly and welcoming and make it a delight to go in the shop every time. Every order I have made is accurate and is always precise and right. They recently started delivering and can I say it’s the best thing since slice bread 😉 The website is so immaculate done and the delivery is outstanding, I am always looking forward to ordering from here, as the website is also simple and easy to use. Called in after working late. Service was excellent but even better was the Fish Goujons! Partner had the halloumi . The chips were brilliant. Fully recommend this take away.

The Good Fantastic Food. Great quality fish and chips at an affordable price... Unless you go for the swordfish or tuna... They serve that there, and I'm sure it's also great, but a bit pricey for me. The staff are friendly. The chips are great. The mushy peas are about average. The bad During COVID-19 when rates were raising after initial lock down. No staff wore masks, no customers were asked to wear masks. I watched for over 15 minutes. More than 20 people unmasked were served. Whilst there was a soap water wash, noone used it. I was one of 3 during this time wearing them. Some staff without hair nets when cooking. One guy walked in, got his white apron on. Started cooking. Didn't wash his hands before starting. Some staff using personal phones, then handelling food. Sign said no more that 1 person in at a time. Saw 3 in, leaning on counter just chilled chatting 2-3 feet from the till staff. This is what made the atmosphere great pre lockdown, but not now. All the right signs. None enforced, not even frowned at when disregarded. It's a real shame, this would have otherwise been a 5star review.

I have used his fish and chip shop for at least 5 years possibly more and I only have the highest regard for their products. The staff are often busy since the shop is very popular but they are always polite and helpful. Sadly they can no longer obtain rock salmon but I have tried most of their fish and its all very good. In addition they have a very interesting range of sauces

Excellent fish and chips. BUT... Always check your order before leaving the shop as they often forget things, even on small orders. The person serving often tries to serve two people at once when they should just concentrate on getting the first order correct!

Best Fish and Chips. I always have large cod and chips. The cod melts in your mouth. Nice batter. And the chips are cooked a bit longer than other chippys so they are crispy and not limp like so many others. Aaah, I feel hungry just thinking about it!

Actually I was very impressed, although it’s a shame they don’t offer an OAP price or smaller portion? Far too big for my 91 year old Nan. Very nice cod and chips in a trendy, environment friendly cardboard box. Nice service, owner seems pleasant. Please consider OAP price and offer smaller portion size.

Regardless of the grumpy looking man at the back, he makes the best chicken burger and chips in London.The food is fresh and very tasty. Iv been going for years and I honestly think we should nominate him for an award to wind him up (hes cool really) haha front line staff are so lovely and welcoming, their smiles brighten up going back to the office.

I laughed at a previous review saying the owner was a bit moody, I'd go as far as saying he is verging on being socially retarded. There was only myself and another gentleman waiting to be served stood patiently at the counter, rather than just asking us what we liked he insisted that we both move 2 foot from the middle of the counter to the left hand side of the counter before taking our order. I could understand if the shop was busy but there was just the two of us there waiting and we literally were made to move less than 2 feet to our left before ordering...what a joke...what a ridiculous man!!.

Amazing service and great fish and chips really well prepared and fresh. Plus the cake pops are fabulous really nice to see something sweet at a fish bar shop. See you guys for my regular chippy and tartar sauce.Fabulousss
