I love this tearooms anyway but haven’t treated myself to lunch here for a while and today I fancied treating myself to lunch so I popped in to get a take away lunch, being a Saturday lunch time I expected it to be busy but this was exceptionally busy and the tearoom was full to the brim inside and outside. As I entered I was greeted by three lovely ladies, who I knew well from my previous visits, albeit rushed off their feet I was still greeted with cheery hellos, smiles and how are you’s, informing me that they would get my order done as soon as possible but that there were some orders ahead of me so there would be a little wait, which I said was fine. I ordered the salmon and cream cheese bagel with came a side salad and dressing, chocolate Guinness cake and a cappuccino. It was a lovely sunny day so I took my cappuccino outside whilst I waited for the food to be prepared. I had only been waiting ten minutes when my order was brought out to me by one of the lovely ladies which was so lovely, as I passed the door I thanked them for the quick service and a goodbye and they returned the same back. The bagel was delicious, I had really fancied it all morning so it went down very well, the salad and dressing really complemented it. The chocolate Guinness cake is a favourite of mine, so moist and delicious - that is my treat for later. And the cappuccino was lovely, just hit the right spot for an afternoon on the laptop. Thank you ladies for exceptional customer service today ! ☺️ I highly recommend Teacups Tearoom if you happen to find yourself in Woolpit - for a drink and cake or treat yourself to lunch - you won’t be disappointed it truly is a beautiful traditional English Tearoom with wonderful friendly staff in the centre of an idyllic English village 🥰

Wanting to take a break during a journey along the A14, I drove into Woolpit to find somewhere for a coffee. This tiny cafe was perfect. It is very old school with decorated china tea cups and fancy cakes but also offers more substantial cooked food. The small size of the place adds to the atmosphere, as does the friendliness of the staff. I couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome, despite the scruffy motorcycle gear I was wearing. I was even given a loyalty card by a waitress wearing a very fetching mid-20th century outfit with bright red shoes. Woolpit itself is a lovely village and this cafe makes it all the better.

A lovely old building in a very pretty village which gives the impression that little has changed in the past 50 years This is everything you might expect from a small village cafe. A lovely friendly welcome, even to a total stranger, and a lovely environment in which to take refreshments. The coffee I had was not the strongest, but the cheese scone was faultless. Definitely a place I would come to again when passing along the A14

Booked here very last minute and had no idea on what to expect as we had originally booked somewhere else but they cancelled and we desperately wanted to still go for Afternoon Tea and this place was the nearest too us. We arrived and be seated straight away and brought over the biggest Teapot I think I’ve ever seen. The tea was perfect. Next to arrived was the food. Wow!! The lady (sorry I don’t know your name) explained what everything was. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!! So tasty, so fresh and wanting more. We couldn’t stay for as long as we had wanted due to other commitments but we will definitely be back. On paying the bill we also bought a sausage roll to takeaway. Just yum!! Thank you

Yesterday I popped into Teacups on my own having been in the village to do some shopping. There is always someone to say hello to or chat with though. I was greeted by two lovely ladies with warm smiles & cheery good mornings, hellos & how are you’s? Every customer gets such a warm welcome at Teacups, it doesn’t matter if you’re a regular or a tourist on a day trip, the customer service is always amazing! I had a large cappuccino, sat on a window table & watched the world go by, when the ladies were not busy they stop to chit chat a little. Teacups have a book basket that always has a vast collection of books so I had a look through that, if a book takes your fancy then there are a couple of charities they collect for so you can opt which you would like to donate to. I had a hot chocolate before I left which was delicious, so smooth, not sickly like a lot of hot chocolates & just topped my morning off nicely! Today I chose to take a slice of Black Forest Cake with a hint of Brandy home for my afternoon treat it was fabulous, very tasty! I’ve had hot & cold lunches, a variety of sweet & savoury cakes, hot & cold drinks & I cannot fault anything, there is a good variety of everything, catering for all, seasonal & local produce & freshly made on site. There is seating indoors & outdoors, as a solo visitor or a small group it welcomes all, including dogs as there is the seating outside. The two joint lady owners put so much love, time & pride into Teacups, along with their wonderful team alongside them who are all so friendly, hard working & simply fantastic! If you visit Woolpit you simply MUST visit Teacups tearooms in the centre of the village, you may want to book in advance to your trip, but I promise you won’t be disappointed! ☺️

Wondered how Tea Cups would manage social distancing - not easy with such an old building - it was perfect! From the no-touch sanitiser on the entrance table to the screens between the tables. The scones were just as yummy too. Just need to remember to book, as it is very popular, and has fewer tables at the moment.

We were given the gift of an afternoon tea for two at Teacups, and redeemed it today. Safety wise (everyone's concern at the moment), it was perfect. They really have thought of everything. Screens between tables; staff wore mask, and vizor. It was all well thought-through.The food was lovely; quantities just right, although we are still full even now many hours later...Home made cakes and sandwiches. Absolutely delicious. A proper cream tea. Care had been taken to ensure there was variety, and presentation was perfect. Tea in proper china cups and tea pot - the real McCoy.The staff (Lisa and Christine) were lovely too: attentive and genuine. We will definitely return.

This is a hidden little chocolate box type of tea room, nestled in the lovely quiet village of Woolpit Suffolk. Your cups of tea are served in large teapots ( China pottery ) and refilled if required. Hot food on the special board, and variety of lovely sandwiches, and not forgetting choices of homemade cakes. If you haven’t yet visited then put this on your bucket list.

One of the first places I went to when visiting the charming village of Woolpit for the first time was Teacups Tea Rooms. It is exquisite. Everything you would want in an old fashioned village tea room. The staff are very friendly, the service is excellent and the food delicious. It is housed in a lovely old building in the middle of the village and has a tiny museum upstairs. Round the corner is a church I had been waiting decades to visit as it has an incredible hammer-beam roof covered in carved wooden angels.

Tea Cups never ceases to delight! In a way, I'm only bothering to review it because there don't seem to have been any reviews in 2018, and I can't work out why not. Friendly welcome and offered an 'outside' table in the very small yard behind the property was accessed by walking through the kitchen. Our order not taken for 15 minutes and then 10 minutes after that I was informed that my dish was not available, food arrived another 10 minutes after that! The whole thing was well meaning but totally disorganised. Ham and egg muffin had a modest quantity of ham, the egg was a peculiar scrambled egg slab. The menu encouraged those wanting a sandwich to choose two fillings - my wife chose tomato and tomato, expecting a decent filling. The sandwich arrived with such a thin layer of tomato - I'd hate to see a single filling.

The only cafe open for lunch it was quite busy and given a choice of a table outside or inside on a warm day we selected the later only to be asked to walk through the small kitchen where food was being prepared. Seated in a tiny courtyard and somewhat out of sight we were forgotten for about 10 minutes when our order was finally taken. The sandwich when it arrived -Two choices of filling and not fancying any of the combinations I asked for tomato & tomato-was thinly filled and the accompanying crisps were very cheap versions. Our tea & coffee were not nice either.Dirty dishes were taken from tables and stacked on a range of weatherproof cupboards in the courtyard in full view of customers & when space allowed removed to the kitchen where they were hand washed in the sink.

We used to enjoy our outings to the Gladstone, but it has turned into a dirty, smelly and "clicky" place to eat or drink! Instead of being dog friendly it is more like a dog kennel - dogs annoy non-dog owners by licking them etc and sitting on the seating instead of under the tables. The seats and tables are dirty and the whole place is unhygienic - we will not return and will leave it to the arrogant dog owners who think everybody wants to be licked and dribbled on by their pets!
