Taza Indian Buffet in Dundee City

Fantastic food quickly delivered.

great buffet style Indian. we were greeted on arrival to our pre booked table and informed how the buffet worked. the food was great fresh and hot with lots of choice we took time to have our meal and avoided a queue at the desert counter the only point I would add the bathroom - rest rooms could have been cleaner but it was a busy Saturday night and if driving you will have to download an app to pay for parking

Un buffet no es nuestra elección habitual de restaurante, pero cuando caminamos en el almuerzo olía tan bien. Había mucha elección y estaba bien preparado y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Había una gran elección de cócteles para aquellos que no beben. El personal era encantador y amable.

1st time for me, (hubby and son been a few times) amazing hot hot food, full of flavour, smiley welcoming staff, great value, can't wait to come back, even daughter who doesn't eat meat absolutely loved it, so much to choose (had to try a bit of everything. Ha ha)

Really lovely authentic Indian buffet, food was fresh and the service attentive and friendly, will return if we visit this way again.

Love a Taza! Really tasty and great value too. We ordered the Thali which is a selection of their most popular dishes. They were all delicious, we especially loved the lamb and potato dish. I do wish they'd included a note telling us what the dishes were as I'd love to order them both again. Apart from that I can't fault it at all.

One of the best curries I’ve tasted! I worked in India for 5 years. The butter chicken was unreal! Great job!

I have been a regular visitor to the Taza since it opened around 20 years ago. However, this is the first year I have been for Christmas dinner. We had the early sitting at 1:45. The food was amazing (as usual) and the traditional food was also brilliant!! I had to have a bit of everything. The atmosphere was great. This is my first experience having Christmas dinner elsewhere rather than at home with my family. I enjoyed it more than I thought. The staff are always lovely and pleasant, very smartly dressed and in a formal but relaxed manner at the same time!! We had a great day 😊 Thank you to all the staff at the taza ☺️

Gran selección de comida india estilo Buffett. La comida estaba caliente fresca y sabrosa. Sin duda recomendaría. Niños y adultos les encantó las opciones de carritos del desierto de helados y pasteles.

Multiple smaller meals is a wonderful idea, and they were all very tasty. However, it would be nice if they were labelled so I knew which was which.

We ordered the meal for 2 with starters. Enough food to feed 3 or 4 people. Butter chicken was lovely. Chips are a bit big, would prefer smaller cut ones but nice enough.

Curry was tasty but cold, totally fine heated up in microwave, naans not so good. Decent chicken. Good deals. Very quick delivery.

My delivery time was 22:00 but they called and said that they close at 21:00 and they will deliver before that. I agreed as I was thinking food will be good. I am sorry to say that the Nihari they served, in no place in world can be called a Nihari. It was just some kind of curry with some lamb in it. I will request the owners/chef to go to some good Afghan restaurant and taste the Nihari. Also taste the Biryani this like a pulao not a biryani.

Desde el momento en que llegamos el personal fue muy atento y servicial, explicando cómo se dispuso el buffet y dónde se posicionaron entrantes, principales y desiertos. Toda la comida estaba caliente (temperatura) y recién hecho. Todos los platos estaban bien etiquetados y las alergias alimentarias declaradas. Todas las estaciones de comida se mantuvieron limpias y se revisaron regularmente para asegurarse de que siempre había mucha comida disponible. Los platos usados siempre se sacaban de la mesa rápidamente y la camarera continuó comprobando que estábamos bien. Un gran ambiente con excelente comida auténtica.

Booked a table here for 18 but put in the wrong date. The staff were so lovely and put us together a large table in minutes. I was really impressed with the amount of options on the buffet, and every curry I tasted was delicious. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Dundee.

My partner & I have ordered a few times from Taza with no issues. However this order was exceptionally poor. The curries did not taste or look anything like previous orders. Both were overly salty with layer of grease on top. Lacked a balance of Indian flavours & portion significantly smaller. The meat was very dry & tough in both curries, with some inedible. The chips, pakora and naan arrived soaking from condensation and/or grease thus soggy. Tried to raise with just eat to no avail.

The curry was just paste, no flavour. Would not recommend anyone to order Paneer Butter Masala from here.

I always come here for lunch when I visit my dad. Best buffet restaurant I’ve been to. The food is amazing, varied and great for vegetarians too. Really spicy curries and huge choice. The staff are really friendly, busy and attentive. I wish I lived nearer!

We used to frequent at Taza when we stayed in Dundee between 2015-16 and always found the standard of food and service to be exceptional. So we were delighted when we went for dinner recently and found the standards to be the same, if not higher. The food is incredible and would recommend asking the chefs for one of the advertised specials. We tried the Shami kebab which was made to order for us and was delicious.

Wow! What a great experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially Gina and Virgil who made our visit more enjoyable. The food was plentiful, tasty and you could choose some special items to be cooked separately such as paneer and prawns. I rolled out of there content and so full! I would highly recommend a visit.

Didn't get Nan my curry was bland veg pakora fell apart not the usual Taza experience

Everything was fine, apart from being let down with the naan bread. I asked for garlic but was given peswari, couldn't eat it so that went in bin!

Really confused how these meals came out of the same kitchen. I had the spicy donner kebab on a garlic naan with peppers, onions, a side of fries and it really was absolutely fantastic in every possible way. My wife had the chicken tikka masala with chips and it was absolutely terrible. One of the worst tasting curries ever and the weird steak cut size chips were cold in the hot sauce. One of the tikka pieces was also like charcoal. Bizarre stuff.

I order a lot from here, and I always order the same dish. I don’t like a spicy curry and sometimes the curry is too spicy. I think it depends on the chef as it’s never consistent. Pasanda and Korma is meant to be creamy with just a little kick, my granddaughter can eat it if it’s done correctly. When it’s spicy even I struggle with it. I order weekly and when they get it right it’s amazing.

One of THE Best curries I've had in a long time !! ( and I've had many over the years from various places and I've made my own for over 40years!!) The Desi Byryani lamb ,on the bone ...was excellent..flavour, texture of rice ..beautifully done!! Thankyou! Highly reccomend 🥰

The curry and the rice were ok. The naan was nothing like a naan. Clear garlic paste on what looked more like a chapati than a naan bread. Flat and greasy. Never again!!

Bang average, filled with oil and soggy chicken pieces. No flavour and generic tasteless rice. Watery Ritta and rock hard chicken pakora. If you like this kinda thing I'd highly recommend.

We got the Thali Meal so could try a few new thing. Everything was lovely just wish we knew what they were do could order in future.

Food was delicious and warm, bang on time and the delivery guy was very polite. Excellent!

Sadly disappointed, we ordered 2 curry's, rice, naan and chicken pakora. The food was beautifully cooked, chicken was lovely and the portions were generous but 2 things really let the meal down, the sauces in both currys were very thin, werent thick and rich creamy like a korma and chasmi should be and sauce is what its all about, it ties the whole meal together. The huge portion of pakoras were all soggy because sent in a paper bag but they freshened up in the oven perfectly. If they sauces were fixed would be the best ive had in a while but feels like the main event was wasted.

came here as a follow up to an unfortunate experience at another restaurant wish we had picked it to begin with, the staff were nothing but kind and friendly, and were helpful in every way they could be. the food was absolutely gorgeous, we were in awe how good it was drinks were lovely, my friend got a woo woo and i got a milkshake, the woo woo was massive so great value for money, milkshake was lovely also

Good morning I ordered a taza last night which came so cold and so greesey all the sauce was over the bag we had to bin the chips. I have an autistic son who was very hungry and only eats chips so was very upset at this. I will not ordering from there again as I usually do and a few times now things have went wrong. Unhappy customer

Nice authentic indian food, great ambiance, and lovely staff. The restaurant was clean, spacious  and the buffet was kept nice and hot. One of the staff members guided us well as per our dietary requirements. The food was hot and delicious. Helpful staff and  cooked fresh vegan naan specially for us. There were lots of cakes to try in deserts, too. Would suggest providing more options for vegans and vegeterians. 

Food was pretty meh, the curry wasn't that bad but the garlic naan was just garlic puree that looked like mush over what seemed and tasted like a store bought naan bread.

I had the veggie tikka masala and it was so tasty! The chips and poppadoms were great too.

Briyani was not so briyani, no flavor and veggies were barely cooked... I even told them to not add spices as my kid was supposed to eat. It came completely opposite.

We often go to Taza and every time enjoy it a lot, atmosphere is great, food delicious, service friendly and fast, well priced; however today I decided to order takeaway from them and I am not sure if its a different chef who is in charge of takeaways at Taza but this was the worst Indian meal I have ever had in my life, such a shame because tonight was special - we were sending off our Dad to Berlin for Berlin marathon. The food was soo bad that 70% of it went into the bin. Lamb curry was hard pieces of what tasted like mutton, not lamb, all in sloppy tomato soup type liquid, egg fried rice had a very odd smell to it, we all agreed not to eat it and it went straight into the bin, pashwari naan was soggy and naan had a smell of uncooked. It was such a disappointment . Owner please speak to your staff.
