Tasty China in Sutton

I understood as was explained to me that the restaurant was paticularly busy, due in part to the weather, which delayed the delivery. It is rare for the driver who brings the takeaway to be late and I understood the situation.

This is maybe my thirtieth response. I've always enjoyed the food from Tasty China. I have to say, invariably the chap that delivers has a ready smile and has only been late on a few occasions, resulting from the restaurant being slightly behind.

Every thing was just ok. Lacked a bit of flavour

Pork and chicken extremely tough ( not velveted) bits of noodles charred and bean sprouts soggy.

By a long way the best Chinese in the local area: the food is delicious, there are loads of great options, we wouldn’t go anywhere else

The food is always well cooked and there's more than enough. It's rarely cold, but I have had to microwave my soup on a couple of occasions. Otherwise, always very satisfied and I will extend my patronage into the New Year.

The standard of the food was good as always - shame about the chilies!

Special notes not followed. There was chilies in the double pork, when I asked for them to be excluded, which I will dispose of

Flavours great - general frustration with different sizes on dishes being medium or large ….. just have the one option wirth the price shown. Flavours were great and prawns were gorgeous

Delivery time extended by an hour after putting the order in and they sent me the wrong item in the end

Very enjoyable, good quality and not greasy. Just needed a quick blast in the microwave.

I have been coming here maybe 20 years or more , with my father now’s sadly passed and my children who are now grown and now bring there children ! i was quite shocked at the reviews below . as we have found this restaurant one of the nicest buffets , the food is amazing every dish perfection , Melvin and his staff are always lovely and attentive, Melvin creates each dish full of flavour and just delicious . we celebrated a birthday and want to say thank you Melvin and crew for making it special once again . hope to see you very soon. need to diet once again lol x

Chow mein and rice were great, the beef was overcooked to the point it was crunchy.

The food was really good, we ordered a set meal and every single dish was tasty and portion really generous. There were proper vegetables in the dishes, not just onions which l find in many Chinese takeaways lately. I took one star off as we didn't get our egg fried rice, but other than that I would order again.

Have been coming to royal china/tasty china for over 20 years. Sad to say will not be visiting again. Service very poor, food has gone downhill and the charging has gone berserk. £145 for 3 people eating all you can eat. Shame because Mel used to run a very nice place.

I loved having the green beans. Only had them in restaurant not found them again until now. Great, nice tasty food, very happy tummy

I went there with my best friend for dinner and catch up. Food was amazing, every single dish we had was very tasty and flavourful. We had bunch of starters (scallops in black bean sauce, crab claws, chicken, green beans and fried king prawns). The duck and pancakes was very lovely as well. Overall I would highly recommend you to try it out as food is delicious and waitresses were very attentive and kind they also gave helpful recommendations.

The half of aromatic duck was dry and tested like it had been sitting around for ages. The food wasn't hot either. I don't think we will be ordering again, the food quality has really gone down hill.

All great! But you gave us half chicken balls and half prawn for some reason!

My daughter and friends went out for a birthday meal, spending their pocket money. Although the food in itself was good, the restaurant let itself down by charging for tap water and then having the cheek to include the water on the bill adding a further 10% on top of the water price. All restaurants in England and Wales that serve alcohol are legally required to give customers free tap water according to the Licensing Act 2003 (Mandatory Licensing Conditions) Order 2010, which came into force in April 2010 and was updated in 2014. One litre of water probably costs the average business about 1p, so the water in a ‘free’ glass shouldn’t break the bank, plus a happy customer is much more likely to consider going back to the restaurant, in this case to spend their pocket money. TAP WATER SHOULD BE FREE IN A LICENSED BUSINESS !!!

The food was really nice but after spending £130 in there (as students) we were told not return as we wouldn’t pay the added £15 service charge but instead leaving a cash tip… such a rude manager - will not return

Not a terrible experience overall. Food was bang average. Service was ok. However the reason a 1 star review is because of the so called “managers” treatment of us. We kindly asked for the the service charge of £12.90 to be removed from our £142 bill because we are students and did not believe the OPTIONAL service charge was relevant to the meal we had, also bearing in mind there was 4 of us at the table. I was told to go to a McDonald’s in future and not return to the restaurant by the “manager” because we asked for the £12.90 service charge to be removed. I would suggest that Tasty China choose a more friendly understanding manager to accommodate their customers , rather than some guy giving it the big’n in a shirt ;) . I will not be returning to tasty china and would suggest that this manager look for a job in somewhere like McDonald’s If this is the way he likes to treat customers.

Our old Chinese takeaway closed down so this was a chance we took. Will definitely be ordering again. Delivery was spot on. Good portions. Very very tasty. Can't fault anything!!

I love this place the food is always amazing and so tasty, the staff are so lovely and friendly. All you can eat for a certian amount. Nothing is to much trouble for these lovely people. They are child friendly and accomdating to their needs. I would highly recommend to try this, they also do deliveries. A++++++

Although the quality of the food was very good we ordered duck with plum sauce and received duck with pineapple. We also ordered Kung Po Chicken and received chicken with water chestnuts

I visited Tasty China with family on a Saturday night, I had been there before but several years ago. It is a very busy restaurant offering basically all you can eat for a set price; I think it was £28 per head (I was not paying). The menu is plentiful with a wide choice of Chinese dishes, the quality of the food is good, and you can literally have as much as you want. We had a massive selection of starters and the traditional duck pancakes, followed by our own individual main course. Everything was cooked and presented well. Very friendly and pleasant staff who looked after us, continually asking if we wanted more. Well worth a visit.

We managed to get a last minute table here last night. We usually go to the emperor in north cheam, but some of the staff and service has been less than great lately and they have increased prices again (but I guess that’s to be expected with increased costs) so we decided to give this place a try. The restaurant itself is all divided booths now, with no atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the food comes out in drubs and drabs and we had to ask on more than one occasion for the rest of our dishes (we only ordered 3) with the mixed O’dourves. The food was nice, and hot when it arrived, but took 45 mins for all starters to come. , The Emperor has a nicer feel and atmosphere, much quicker efficient service and lush food. I guess it’s just what you get used to.

A dish was missing, Rang up it was herein 10 mins

We pre ordered food in the morning and the food was still late . When I rang I could hear the restraunt was busy but that's no excuse to delay pre-orders.

Delivery estimate before payment was almost 1 hour out. There was no way we could wait 1.5 hours for order so rang restaurant and collected 20 minutes later. Paid for delivery costs that didn’t use! :(

Glad we used this place today for the first time. It won't be the last! Thank you for our meal. Was a nice way to end the year.

Lovely food, however I ordered and paid for a large portion of Special Fried Rice, but only received the normal small portion. No option on Just Eat to report to this, so could only to say it was "missing" and Just Eat have now refunded me the cost. Thank you Just Eat!

Food was very salty and ruined the taste of my meal

Very disappointed, most of the food was cold when I got home and generally bad quality. Crispy beef was awful and chicken balls dripping (literally) in oil! Never will order from there again.

Brilliant vegetarian options and brilliant food and flavours. Fast delivery and very friendly staff. Only downfall is the egg fried is quite bland and prices are a little bit more expensive than other restaurants but worth it.

The food was cold. The chicken toast was over cooked. Its a shame as we have ordered from here many times and have really enjoyed it,never had any problems but tonight it wasn't as enjoyable as it was cold

We’ve used tasty China for year’s and that was the worst meal we have had. The crispy duck was not crispy the vegetables were awful and the beef dish was terrible. Your standards were so high before. Not happy at all.

Black bean beef and pork dumplings were nice enough unfortunately the chicken didn’t seem very good quality. The chow mein was very dry and the chicken balls were tough.

Pad Thai dish was unexpectedly wet. Did not enjoy it. Duck spring rolls had more veg than Duck. Rice was nice. Poor meal overall. Disappointed

Best Sunday buffet in town First takeaway order very good

Ordered at 6pm and was given a delivery time of 7.50pm which was bad enough. Food finally arrived at 8.20pm after I had phoned the restaurant to chase it.

I asked for hoisin sauce, prawn crackers and these didn’t arrive. The satay chicken also - the satay sauce was forgotten. I order every week and spend lots of money with tasty China. Disappointed that we spent £90 this week and little things are forgotten for loyal customers.

This is the best place in Sutton. Their Thai food is absolutely lovely. Have tried many others but you can't beat tasty China.

I’m so dissatisfied, Ordered over the phone and my order never showed up, I tried ringing multiple times and it kept going to answering machine. So disappointing and will not be ordering again.

Ive ordered take away tonight & 2 hrs later it still hasnt arrived, they say its been delivered but haven't recived it.

Excellent food, although the starter was missing the satay. Delivery took almost an hour and a half which was not fun.

The food was nice and tasty especially the Cantonese duck. It arrived really late though. Ordered at 7.35, didn't arrive until 9.10. Not good at all. Won't be ordering again.

It was almost inedible . Special rice was not very special dried out. Lemon chicken was chewy and not remotely lemony. The whole meal was just like it had been quickly reheated no taste. Was awful and most of it went into the bin

Quality of food was not up to standard. Prawns in chow mien were chewy. Curry was spilt all over bag. Fried rice was plain and seemed to be not fried. The lemon chicken box lid was broken and looked unappetising with lots of thick lemon sauce, we just binned it. Temperature of some of the food was barely warm. Overall very disappointed and would not order again.

This is the most wonderful place to go. The food is out of this world, the staff are incredible friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We go there quite a bit with the girls or with family and we have always without fail had an amazing time. They also deliver and the food is always hot and tasty. Would highly recommend it A++++
