Tasty African Food in Redbridge

I’m a vegetarian. So I don’t eat meat . I usually pick up jollof rice & tell them I don’t eat meat so I want it plain, every time I’ve ordered jollof rice it ALWAYS has chunkss of meat . The cross contamination is very bad, CEO needs to check in with there business. & needs to hire new workers that are alert & considerable . When will they learn, when someone dies ???????

The brother Yusuf saw me outside queuing up for the grand opening and was kind enough to let me in and tell me when my table is ready so that I didn’t have to wait outside and came back when the free platter was ready. The brother Esa and other waiters were really friendly. Food and environment was excellent. We even got a free drink and save £51. Definitely will come back again! 👏

I don’t know if it was just the fact that the food was BURNT! But it was most definitely lacking flavour also. It didn’t seem fresh and it was far from living up to its name “Tasty”. I have tried Egusi from a lot of African takeaways and restaurants, including the popular Enish and this is just beyond bottom tier. Would not recommend. The pounded yam portion was also not an equal ratio to the stew. The two pieces of meat in the stew were so large, taking up the majority of the container leaving no space for the soup anyway. Plantain was average like any other, customer service was pleasant.

Fantastic delicious authentic fresh tasty meals, thanks chef and staff. This is one of the best African restaurants, my group and I enjoyed the food which was pounded yam with edikikon, egusi, fresh fish rice etc etc yummy 🙌blessings ❤️

The Jollof rice was terrible, mushy/wet/overcooked probably used to much sauce to rice The chicken leg smelt and tasted of fish and was also over cooked. The chicken thigh was better, didn't taste or smell like fish but was still pretty disappointing, plus over cooked. Would not recommend.

Ordered online and then added extras, no issues. Payments made. Food really nice, ordered jollof rice very nice, gizzards and plantain mixed my guests enjoyed it, espcially the puff puff. Although I would have prefered the plantain seperate. Will order from them again as food nice.

Absolutely horrible food, I’m convinced I got food poising from here avoid at all costs. Also if you’re ordering online Uber eats the portions look MUCH larger than what they actually deliver beware…

Madam, its not your business but as your the face of the business you need to be more friendly and courteous. It's not the customers who should be begging you for good service. The food is great but front of house has a miserable person serving customers. We should speak out and not put up with miserable service. If you don't like the job leave.

I haven’t been seeing the Ghanaian and the housa lady, I wanted to buy food but quickly left yesterday when I did not see them, they always make me come back and now I order and go there less and less cos it doesn’t feel the same without them, I might have to find another Nigerian restaurant in ilford…. Food is good but customer service from them is superb 👍🏾

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Tasty put their phone down on me whilst I was talking (Restaurant’s assistant who put the phone down is called Lydia) Food was three hours late, to the point where we cancelled our order. Can’t even leave a review on the food because we didn’t get an opportunity to taste it. Will not be ordering from them again. Abysmal! I hope they read this too, especially Lydia. Learn how to treat customers! If I could post without a star I would.

ABSOLUTE T.R.A.S.H!! First time eating here. My friend and i were EXTREMELY disappointed. Upon arrival, the tables were unkept like noone could be bothered to clean the tables or straighten the table ware. The lady who served us was on the phone speaking in her dialectic. Its like we had to wait for the person on the phone to finish what their saying in order for the lady to acknowledge us. She was not attentive and was not customer friendly. Will never eat here again!! Just shut down the establishment entirely and let someone else sell, waste of space! I'll eat my own hand next time.

Nice overall service. Waiters need to be more attentive to customers and strive to make them happy. Food was good.

The best African food in the UK

Good food and reasonably priced

First experience was just okay. My mum's cowleg was not soft. Went in this evening and the pounded yam was hard as a rock. Customer service was not impressive. I could tell, one of those girls clearly does not have a stake in the business.

The food was tasteless and service was very awful.the attendant was busy chatting on the phone whilst serving and left the food on the shelf without handing it over to me.worse customer service

Just bought some jollof rice and the rice tasted like a jollof rice mixed with cigarette. They are willing to sell you burnt rice. The cigarette flavour was so strong I could literrally feel the flavor of it when I was chewing it, I had to throw the food away.

These people are bunch of jokers..can’t believe they served rice &beans takeaway as burnt as it smells and taste..and the rice was half done ..proper burnt taste couldn’t eat it
