This place is so bad i just came from this shop and the place is dead no one is in there except the staff me and me and my friends ordered our food then boss came and said you guys added too much sauce so i said its normal because we paid for it he said no thats too much and then he cancelled our order and gave us our money back and said never come back I recommend going any other chicken shop like the one few buildings after staff there are so nice and welcoming we told them our experience in spice hut they gave us a discount on our orders and the food is so bad in spice hut it tastes like curry everything about spice hut is bad

Ordered a medium lamb biryani tikka and tango when the order came tango missing he said drinks don’t come with it but obviously I ordered it as no receipt was provided couldn’t argue. The biryani was filled to the top with green chilli. told the manager all he responded was ok he wasn’t bothered

I have seen the staff member holding chicken with hands… I would recommed to please use gloves if doing so.

The best spice hut around East London. Chadwell heath and goodmayes ones are ok but thos one definitely is two steps ahead.

their grilled chicken and wings are banging with pilau rice. you got to tell them to make it medium and juicy not to burn the wings. it comes out ten/ten

Absolutely outrageous, ashamed, how bad can food really be, first thing they gave me and family the smallest portion a bloody baby won’t be able to get full from that, the wings was pink in the inside, no flavour what so ever us Bengalis meant to have the best tasting food but guess not after today , the worker was rude told us to firm it and move on, the most stingiest people ever, shame on them

Food is second to none! Says online they close at 12. I called at 11:26 and they said they are closed! Only reporting this so if anyone else wants Spice Hut, go to Mile End. These guys close according to how busy they are!

Went here to eat for iftar, he refused to serve me and asked me to come back in half an hour... Uncle ruins the places, the other gentleman are pleasant.

Food was good, service was let down due to the fact the courier collected my food, and then collected another order from different takeaway, he spent 15 mins there, and delivered that before mine. By the time my food arrived, it was stone cold.

Worst shawarma I have ever tasted...one of the staff person is also rude and they don't have tap water facility for drinking purpose

Bought food for Iftar, portion is abit small and kind of expensive due to that. Other than that food was nice and saucy not too spicy and naan bread was soft and not hard

The lamb Donner came smothered in some kind of red sauce, I just wanted a regular donner and chips. The chicken burger was okay, could have used some spice. I wouldn't say I will be ordering here again, the Donner put me off my food and the rest was average, the part I enjoyed most was probably the chips.

Ordered takeaway for iftar, they are extremely stingy with their food. Requested salad and they only gave me 1 when i had 4 meals which all included salad. Containers of food were half empty. Very poor quality food, save your money and go elsewhere

I ordered 5 chicken wings with chips on Saturday for my mum and she got severe food poisoning after eating it. Diarrhoea and everything for two days. I am guessing the food was either uncooked, unclean and contaminated. The chips also tasted old and bland the oil tasted old. The chilli sauce tasted disgusting aswell. Really disappointed and i do not recommend going here.

Really slow service bad choice of food

It’s a fantastic fast food shop around this area, I guess you might like if you pop in when you feel to have a quick meal and in the same time tasty too!

I ordered wings from here and the guy dropped it on the floor and still put it in my box thinking i didnt see… once i told the guy who took my order he then spoke to him regarding it… if i hadnt seen with my own eyes they would have given me the wings that touched the floor. I would not recommend to any if this this is how they conduct their business. They dont care about the people. Very dangerous people these lot.

We ordered on the phone for collection 2 lamb doner and chips and they gave us a price on the phone for our meal then we were charged a different price in person which was more than what they said on the phone and the worker was very rude and did not give us any tissues sauces or cutlery with our food.

The food came from North Pole with ice cold temperature. food was soggy - didn’t enjoy at all . Don’t know whether it’s the delivery person or the restaurant ?

There is guy with glasses he doesn't seem like he enjoys serving always misses out on request when you ask for some changes in salads or something he needs to be put at the back on cooking always miserable no smile and rudly serves . Other then that food is great atmosphere is great just dnt ask the guy in cap and glasses anything for request or greet he is miserable at front desk clearly shows doesn't enjoy I being part of the team in spice hut and makes customers annoyed by not fulfilling their requests so the customer doesn't come back 🙄 frankly I still go just try to void ordering with him or specifically remind him about changes because this guy will mess ur order on purpose so LAZY 😉.

I ordered the Naga wings, and what I got instead was normal hot wings and some watery Naga sauce that wasn't spicy

Food is good but the restaurant made a mistake by delivering us the wrong order I ordered 1 lamb doner and 1 chicken doner instead delivered us 2 lamb doners .

Abysmal service, food was missing on multiple occasions and when I called to alert them of the issue I was shouted at on the phone and told they “packed everything”. They did not. Staff are not cooperative at all and refuse to acknowledge their numerous mistakes. Appalled by both the behaviour of staff and quality of food.

Ordered takeaway. Bought the family deal 1 and shawarma wrap. First taste , the chicken is not warm even. It’s being kept inside the machine without keeping it warm just the lights on only. And the chicken is hard and rubbery. They are not even washed properly. No taste at all. The shawarma wrap, they are not even shawarma wraps. They are basically what you buy at any kebab shop , that’s what the wrap is. Very bad. That’s why they are cheap and people go there not for the quality but just to buy them because they are the cheapest in that road. The quality is bad and the kitchen is a mess. Chips , oil all over the floor , anyone can see when standing behind the counter. I would NOT recommend this place. Cheap food and cheap quality.

I was told my food would be delivered at 19:44, it then changed to 19:47, then to 19:52, and then it said 19:56 and got delivered then. I was fine with it increasing once or twice but it got increased 3 times and the the delivery drivers signal was also lost and I was unable to track them.

Asked the driver why he was late, said he done his first order in Clayhall before mine. How is this allowed, I want a refund for cold and soggy food.

Finding something to eat late at night in Gants Hill is practically impossible especially after 10pm. So happy I found this place open as working late and getting food on way home is very challenging in this area. The service was prompt, food was freshly made and tasty. Place is clean with clean tables and chairs and the staff is very friendly and helpful not to mention that they have a very diverse menu to choose from starting at £4. Don't get fooled by the look of the fried chicken...it tasted delicious. I highly recommend this place for that midnight food escapades.

Ordered a smashed burger to takeaway only to get home and find out I was given normal burgers from a pack. Gents if you advertise smashed burgers then you have to make them that way 🤦🏻‍♂️.

The quality of the food has gone worst recently. Tried the spicy wings alongside my doner kebab & it tasted awful. Tasteless, very bland when it’s suppose to be spicy wings, and also there’s no coating on the wings. This is not the first time I had that experience. Not going back again.

The sauce has leakedinto the bag. Please be careful to secure the lid so it does not spill. This is the second time this has happened.

The food was not cooked i took pictures it was pink and had blood inside and full of water under the meat int he container that shows frozen food cooked at bad temps i will not be ordering again very dangerous rooky error i took photos as proof a shame as the food before was good i guess they lost interest in customer care.

Got to be the worst place in the country to eat (and that is saying something!). Place is grimey and the chicken has got to be from a rejected dog food factory! Absolutely disgusting. I am not going to comment on the customer service, except if you are a POC, (black!) you are about as welcome as Covid. Avoid this place at all costs, should have a sign outside 'Enter at you own risk'

This used to be our fave place to order from but this is the third time items have been forgotten so unfortunately we won't be ordering again. But the food is tasty and hot.

Terrible!!! Pathetic!! I paid for a meal and wanted to dine in , waited about 20 minutes; after 20 minutes they gave me a delivery parcel, i told them that I want to eat in , the staff saif , eat it from the parcel !! I had to leave the food there and walk away!!!!!!!!!

The food is very nice and price is reasonable. The restaurant also looks nice. What disappointed me was the customer service. The tall man at the counter with glasses seemed to be in a bad mood and it ruined the experience for me. It felt like he was shouting when he was taking orders. But I will come back to the shop because the food tastes great.

Have ordered from here in the past. They never get it wrong: each and every time fresh, good and tasty food. Not once have we had a issue.Must mention have never had such tasty and good naan breads // grilled chicken. Highly recommended

The man with the glasses was unpleasant

Ordered 1 piece 3 wings chips meal. The chicken piece was either training in the gym with Dwayne Johnson or it is dinosaur meat. The piece was abnormally large and very purple on the inside. No flavour, no tenderness. Secondly the wings were also purple inside, batter tasted like it was made yesterday with pakora batter. No flavour at all and the meat was poor quality. Chips were crispy and decent but overall don’t come here. Famz peri peri is better and 5 mins away.

Prices are reasonable compared to other Spice Huts in and around Ilford. Requests are fulfilled. Food arrived hot. Will order again.

Not the best spice hut out there. Chicken dinner is of very poor quality, they seem to be scrimping on cost for quality! Stick to the original recipe and stop trying to save money! Also the quality of wings is lacking?! They need to go back to basics again.

Place looks good but the food was not even a 1 star rating. normally when i am hungry, i could eat a large portion.but that was something else would not recommend this to anyone even if it was a last option not worth the money the seasoning was standard salt and pepper.
