Taste of Italy in Hyndburn

Me and my husband had our meal here and the food was amazing, super tasty and service with a smile. Great little find while we were in the area.

Very friendly service. Food was absolutely delicious and looking forward to visiting to enjoy the restaurant.

Ordered tonight for my daughter's birthday. The pasta was overcooked on all three dishes. Watery and bland. The haloumi salad was poor to say the least. The only good thing was the bruschetta.

Placed a £30 order and have never been more disappointed in an Italian. EVERYTHING tasted the same. Like dried mixed Italian herbs. Overpowering and couldn’t taste anything else. Lasagna was just a big mess. I’m very disappointed. Drive past alot and only ordered as it looks okay from the outside.

Just a nice meal in a clean place.staff were attentive, and the food was reasonable and priced fairly.

We were there for a 60th birthday meal 22 of us in total, the service was excellent, the food was really good. It is only a small restaurant but don't be put off with that lovely place to eat and really friendly atmosphere.

Delicious pizzas. Very busy so a bit of a wait, but well worth it.

The pescatore pizza from here is one of the best I've ever had, it really is that good.My wife had a vegetable pizza from here and loved it and our little lad had a spaghetti bolognese and he ate every drop and then attacked some garlic bread with tomato. Everyone ate every bit of food and had a nice takeaway treat.

Tried the spaghetti carbonara with a garlic bread with cheese and I really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend the taste of Italy

Ordered 2 margarita pizzas and a carbonara. Took over 1hr 30mins to arrive after being told half hour/ 45mins. Rang multiple times to be told the food was out with the delivery driver. The food was out with the delivery driver for over 30mins! 2 kids kept waiting for the food to arrive cold and the carbonara sauce was split and curdled. Refund given but with a lot of arguing of the delivery driver demanding all the food back in return for a refund! All was given bar 1 pizza which I had to reheat for the kids as they'd already been waiting an hour and half. The delivery driver then tried decuct9ng the price of the pizza off!!Very very shocked as usually really good service, really good food and quick delivery. For the sheer attitude I won't be returning!!!

First time trying their takeaway pizza and loved it! I’m picky with takeaway pizza, I don’t like them thick this was a thin delicious Italian pizza.

Love this small Italian. Starters and mainly pizza and pasta main courses (no steaks) but the food is excellent and very tasty.

Just had our first delivery from taste of Italy and it definitely won’t be our last! Pizzas are hot and fresh, good quality ingredients - delivered on time by a very cheerful delivery driver! A great experience and I’m encouraged to try more dishes and eat in the restaurant! :)

The kids were craving a pizza tea so we ordered a taste of Italy takeaway. The pescatore pizza from here is only of my favourites and it definitely hit the spot. We had 3 pizzas, 1 pasta & 2 garlic bread with tomato and every last drop was eaten! A takeaway for a lockdown treat was appreciated

Visited this little gem twice now. First time with my family (4 of us) and the second time with friends, (7 of us). We are booked in again early February when we will total 8, and for 4 of them it will be a first visit.For those of you who know me (and there are a few that do) you are probably aware that I don't hold back from giving criticism where it is due. I consider myself well travelled and have sampled many different types of food in various countries, although I have to confess that most of my food tasting experience has been in Europe.The menu in "A Taste of Italy" is reasonably extensive and caters for most tastes. On our second visit, one of our party eats only vegetarian food. This presented no problem for the chef, Again the vegetarian options are not extensive, but the owner (& Chef) are happy to cater for individual tastes whenever possible.It is not my intention in this review to comment on the food (although it was delicious) but rather point out other facts that may be of interest.The restaurant is situated on the main road in Oswaldtwistle opposite the War Memorial. The premises have been used as a shop in the past and the main dining area is presumably where the shopping area was. This fact means that the area where you dine, is somewhat reduced, and making it feel a little cramped when the restaurant gets full, (usually at weekends). To be honest the owner is probably limited in what he can do with the size of the building. There is a takeaway section next door, that is part of the same building, and seems fairly busy with pizza collection. However, none of this detracts from the welcoming smile and service from the owner, along with his lovely authentic food. I would say without a doubt it's the best Italian food you are likely to get in the area. Can't wait for my next visit.

We had a nice meal from here, ordering pizza and pasta. The seafood pizza is one of the nicest you'll get around here. For 4 meals it was about £30 which was good value and every meal went down well even with fussy kids!

Brilliant restaurant, been for the first time tonight and got a pizza, my girlfriend got a carbonara and we shared a garlic bread, the food was amazing, service was outstanding and it was such a pleasant experience, would very much recommend 👍🏻

We had previously tried Monte Cristo for Italian food but were thoroughly dissapointed so the next restaurant to try was Taste of Italy. Booked a table for 4 people at 6:30 on a Wednesday evening, it was very quiet and in our 2 hour stay nobody else came in. It gets very busy on weekends apparently so booking is advised. We were seated and our drink orders were taken, good alcoholic drink selection and plenty of variety in soft drinks too. We ordered bruschetta, mushrooms, halloumi salad and BBQ ribs for the starters and they all tasted amazing, freshly cooked and prepared, the chef clearly takes pride in his work. We also were given a complimentary garlic bread whilst we waited for our starters, it was so thin and crispy it was unbelievable. We ordered 3 pasta dishes and ham and cheese pizza for mains. The pasta was freshly cooked and all the sauces had lots of basil in, giving it lots of flavour. The pizza was just as good as the bread we had been given earlier, very generous toppings. I can't comment on puddings as we were all very full from the huge portions but they do a homemade chocolate cake which I'm sure is quite nice. Lovely staff and a relaxed atmosphere, they always asked us if everything was okay, which it was. Would highly recommend visiting for authentic food and friendly staff. Our new favourite.

We had takeaway. Food was cooked freshly and was still hot when we got home. Nicest garlic bread in Oswaldtwistle. Fair price but still something to have just as a treat.

The sort of place you could very easily miss, but is great for a quick meal out when you're struggling to decide what to do. The place isn't too fancy, but going here you wouldn't be expecting that. The restaurant is owned and run by Turks, but has a great Italian menu - I've never had a bad meal. Serdar the waiter is great to chat to and we have spent hours just hanging out after eating.

Tonight I ordered from here and it was awful ......... I ordered bruschetta which was meant to be accompanied with " diced vine tomatoes , fresh basel and olive oil " ...... Instead it was absolutely drenched in raw "lazy garlic " out of a jar with soggy bruschetta and large bits of tomato. Also my pasta " tortellini malfati " tasted like plastic and my garlic bread was stone cold . I will not be eating from this place again

I visited Taste of Italy with a few friends just before Christmas.

Fancied something different so tried Taste of Italy in Oswaldtwistle. Really pleasantly surprised. Food was reasonably priced and really tasty. We'll definately be using them again.

Never eaten in but order takeaway regularly, the pizzas are amazing, nice and thin delicious toppings , pasta dishes great too the only slight criticism is I find the chips aren't great but that's only if looking for improvement..... I always enjoy the food from here!

I was pleasantly surprised to find this in oswaldtwistle I had not heard about it, we visited last week for my birthday. Although it was quiet, we did enjoy ourselves. My starter of prawn diavola was delicious I could have had that for a main course. We all had pasta or risotto dishes which we enjoyed. But cannot comment on meat dishes this time. We will visit again and hopefully they could be more in. Maybe they should look at mid week deals to bring customers in midweek?

This is my go to place for all things pizza. Great selection of quality ingredients used on there vast selection of pizzas. The pasta dishes again are soo tasty.

If you mention Italian in Oswaldtwistle everyone assumes francos further up the road. Personally I have never seen the attraction, it's noisy, cramped, food has never been that great. Now they should be worried. Taste of Italy is a great little place to eat. More relaxed, plenty of space, excellent food albeit the menu could do with a few more carne options.

Would highly recommend this place for its friendly and helpfull staff . The food is very nice with a good choice. The prices are very reasonable had a lovely time . Will be back soon

Went he just after 6pm on Friday due to wanting to try somewhere new.

Visited for the second time with my wife and daughter on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is quite small and is attached through the kitchens to a takeaway. The menu is quite simple but what you want to expect from an Italian menu. It certainly isn't gourmet just good honest Italian food for a fair price. With being small there is a great cosy and friendly atmosphere. The host looks after you and certainly makes you smile. The portions are good and the prices are right. If they haven't got something they will do their best to get it our something else. I .would certainly recommend a visit.

Ordered takeaway tonight after hearing good things but unfortunately the pizza was cold and distinctively average risotto. Very disappointed.

Just been to this beautiful little restaurant and wow what can I say the food is spectacular the garlic bread with cheese amazing can't say enough about it really. It is a wonderful place with fantastic service will definitely be back.

Lovely little restaurant which I visited recently with friends. The food was brilliant - I can personally recommend the chicken and mushroom risotto. The staff were very attentive, and couldn't do enough for us. Prices very reasonable, will certainly visit again.

Visited early May on a Thursday night, not many in but it is a small restaurant, cosy but not cramped, stylish decor and now for the food! Amazing, the best garlic bread ever. I don't normally finish the garlic bread as it is filling but it is so moreish. Can't wait to return and try other dishes on the menu and I will definitely be using the takeaway part to try the pizzas. I have heard they are the best. I have been to their restaurant at Barrowford so I knew it would be good. Just great to have them in my local area. Great customer service and such reasonable prices. The red house wine was yummy.

Best take away around. Always wanted a takeaway to make the restaurant style garlic bread. Made so quickly but fresh. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

This place is brilliant! The food is excellent, the service is excellent. The girl serving is very good and helps to create a welcoming atmosphere. Overall this restaurant gets top marks from me!
