Food was absolutely Beautiful, as always

Always love the food from here, never in doubt where I will order from when fancying some curry. I have a friend who insists that he eats from here every time he visits. Only disadvantage would be the inability to get it delivered, otherwise no issues at all.

Me and the family have been having food from here for 30 years and always had superb food that knocks socks off many local restaurants.

I have been a customer for 30 + years. I had a Kochi Murghi madras hot this evening 11 May 2024 it was absolutely tasty, first class. BRILLIANT 😁👍

Very disappointed from using this take away recently. Been going here for years and the family and from finding plastic packaging in the food. Was told would replace the both meals next time but now being told will replace only one meal.now being told that we are liars and that the owner apparently don’t need customers like us going there. His words. Plus put the phone down. Will never go back or the family again. What awful customer service to recieve from the main owner when used them for years The meal I recieved that contained plastic we offered to take down and show yourself but at the time you didn’t want us turning up with the food while u had customers there. You were also offered photos but said u didn’t want them as we were regular customers. Was never an hour as u stated I litarely live around the corner and checked as soon as I got home. Condescending ? Most definutly not. U became very rude and it’s not the first. I think as a business u need to start speaking the truth. You informed us that u have never had a complaint in 33 years but yet in google it states different.

Don't order chicken vindaloo. It was very disappointing. The curry was not like a vindaloo ive had before. It Was yellow, and had a strange texture like they thickened the curry sauce with mashed potatoes. Vindaloo has always been a darker brown/red strong flavoured fragrant curry, with a smooth texture but this curry was a bit plain and no powerful flavours. Just spicy. The naan and rice was good. Next time I will try the Chinesei think. I can't recommend this Indian place, sorry.

Our favourite Indian take away. Very tasty food. Our friends ate there for the first time and were very complimentary. The only thing was, I was shocked at the price for what we had. Getting quite expensive (as is everything else).

I may as well pick a takeaway up from Iceland as all they do is take items out of the freezer and microwave. Nothing is cooked from fresh!!

Always our first port of call for a curry in Pontarddulais. Really lovely food, each dish completely different. Never been disappointed.

Food quality is very good. Came here through a friend of mine when busy looking for local food from the country. Really very tasty food. Trying many Indian restaurants. But I did not get a test like here. Thank you

It is actake away. The attitude and atmosphere of staff was abrupt. On getting home and unpacking I found that he food was awful , the keema nan contained no meat just a smear of paste, the chicken jalfrezi was three small chunks of chicken and a few slices of onion free swimming in what looked and tasted like tomato soup. No peppers very little spice. If you want a taste of India. I felt totally ripped off and disrespected. The place further down the road, chilli something, has real food put together like they care about it. You would do well to haggle a price as they will tell you the menu is out of date and price will vary so we ended up paying dit down price for take away but it was better than I have had in a restaurant.. So avoid Taste of India if you want a good meal.

Great food! My wife and I enjoyed our chicken tikka masala, tikka starter and chips this week, however we found the woman with glasses very rude. Other than that highly recommend as there is no other indian takeaway like this in Pontarddulais

Food is absolutely amazing and honestly has the BEST onion bhajis I’ve ever tried! One of our favourite places for food.

This is a takeaway only, so you can't really rate it on atmosphere 😁. The food from here is wonderful. Elias, the owner/chef, is a lovely man who is happy to prepare food to your spice level taste. Always freshly cooked and tasty and with reasonable prices, this is our go-to takeaway for a curry.

All our meals were the same. Just red sauce. No difference in any. Jalfrezi was just red sauce, had no jalapenos, onion or pepper. Balti again was just red sauce. They've basically used the same sauce for the whole order. Chips hard and dry.I can cook better myself. Will not return.

Absolutely the best. The food and menu that Layas produces are just amazing and tasty. Nowhere else even comes near.

Owners/cook very rude and unprofessional shouting at the poor young girl behind the counter almost having her in tears food was awful this take away used to be good but after the food I received tonight I will never be eating from here again and especially after witnessing the way they treat there staff

Good service but found the korma &chicken tikka very bland

Tried it for the first time, just had starters and they were spot on ,onion bhaji was probably the best one I've ever had, will definitely be back.

Absolutely terrible food from here last night 30 pounds and couldn't even eat all went in bin been going here yrs I will not be going bk food gone down hill terrible all currys were red chicken chat well that looked like slop terrible meal

No mask were being worn when I had a takeaway last week. Curry was awful, no point ringing to try and resolve the situation because if you do you get spoken to like utter rubbish. Chips are really greasy and onion bhajis weren't done properly. I usually love food from here but last weekend was awful!

Always the best here. Would never go anywhere else. I have friends who also come from the Gower and portalbort that's how beautiful and fresh the food always is here. Obviously with covid now people can't order from the area. The people who work there are always cleaning and keeping everything fresh and 💯. They themselves are always clean. It's never greasy it's always perfect keep up the great work guys and keep safe. I suggest you try here you will never be disappointed. Elayas is the most kindest down to earth person you will meet. Nothing will ever compare to the food and service you have here. I've tried the rest now found the best ❤️❤️❤️

Not the best place to go, the food wasn't hot after a four minute drive home, the staff weren't wearing masks & you could see the catering staff weren't wearing hats, I felt quite dirty leaving the takeaway, on my first impression, I couldn't recommend this place to anyone. The people of Pontarddulais deserve a better takeaway than this. This is how people become sick if food isn't properly cooked.

I have known the owner since he started in another restaurant must be over 30 years ago and we have supported him in Pontardulais since he started there never a deviation always the same quite a skill in these days where people try and maximise pfofits at the expense of teh food well done and keep on going

We took a drive to the Taste of India after reading positive reviews, parked up outside and had a look at always a good sign when you see an open kitchen, we were greeted by a friendly member of the counter staff, shown the menu quick read but we knew what we wanted 2 x chicken tikka kebabs cooked on nan bread with salad and mint sauce very very nice definitely will be returning in the future for more nice to see the place busy with customers in and out collecting food

Wont use again after finding out that the meat is halal .i want my meat slaughtered humanly as possible not in babaric pratices. Plus i do not want to pay the extra taxes added for halal products

First time of trying this takeaway. Food very reasonably priced and when we got our for home it was hot, lovely tasting and larger than normal in portion size. My food I found had qood quality ingerdiants used throughout and contained a large amount of chicken breast. The sides were smaller but also delicious. I was more than pleased with my family's meal and I also found a nice selection of dishes on the menu. I will certainly go back to this busy village takeaway. In my opinion it is the best takeaway in the area and I will certainly return to suport this Indian establishment.

I have had a number of takeaways from Taste of India and the food has always been good. Very reasonably priced and service is always good. Would recommend.

Always average at best, so now they don't deliver. Waste of time. Lot of people rave about this take away -it's very generic, ok if you like "british" curries - 3 stars at best and no delivery - won't bother again

If you're in the area and fancy an Indian take away - you won't be disappointed if you order from here. They pride themselves in using quality meat, and always cook food to perfection. The best around by far!

El curry del sabor de la India debe ser uno de los mejores curry tiendas de comida para llevar que he tenido. Puedes pedir por teléfono y recoger o simplemente suba y prepárate para esperar.

My partner and I swear by the Taste of India. Great prices and huge servings. Reassuringly all of the curries look and taste different and the chefs are happy to change things for you.Value cannot be beaten and the quality is superb. Definitely order less than you would usually do unless you want left overs

Being going to Taste of India since it opened over 10 years ago. Never had a bad meal. Elias owner chef is a great cook, and he will make you a dish not on the menu if you ask. How good it is can be judged by the number of people waiting for their orders on a Saturday night and the size of some of the phone orders!!

Taste of India has been going for many many years with the same owner cooking the food every night. The food is always Hot Tasty and plentiful. If your on the M4 and fancy an Excellent Indian Takeaway come off at J 48 its about 1 1/2 miles away. You will not be sorry you made the detour.

Use it regulalry, ring in order, promt service, takes cards, mist chicken tikka starter served with salad and raita sauce is a meal in itself, though we sometimes have chicken tikka byriani, or Chicken Shazlik which ar also good portions.On St Teilo Street with parking outside, and room for 10 people to sit in comfort if you chose to wait.

The food was hot and tasty. We found it difficult to find an indian takeaway that was good in the area and this one is certainly the best we've found so far. It was nice to see the naan breads being made in front of you. The only let down was that there was a language barrier which made the staff seem moody. I would be returning.

Been going here since the day it opened, food is so good, family members from away have taken curries home to re heat, I have even driven to Hillingdon with £40 worth, for my daughter to put in her freezer on a visit. Very clean, friendly staff, my favourite indian of all time so far and trust me ive tried them all in the area and futher a field. Try the chicken phal if you dare. Trying to remember when it opened must be around 20 years or more.
