Taste of China in Leeds

Used this Chinese since Canton Flavour was taken over. Most of the time the food is good and plentiful. I ordered 2 special chow mein dishes tonight which had loads of sauce but it was really salty and did not make a pleasant experience. I still recommend this Chinese and hopefully this was just a one off. The service is quick for delivery and the delivery driver is so polite

Food came really quickly but was disappointing. Absolutely bland and tasteless. Nobody enjoyed their meal.

First and last time we will order from here. Not worth half a star never mind one. Received food we got the large starter box, the chicken on the bone did not taste right neither did the spare ribs, the noodles were greasy and tasteless. The chicken wontons, we couldn’t decide if they was chicken or not. My partner has been up most of the night unwell. On top of this there was a £4 delivery charge even tho the order was over £30 and 1 mile away.the food went in the bin, discussed for £37.

The food quality awful, rice was clearly reheated and chicken was chewy. Hardly any sweet and sour sauce, no vegetables and it was lukewarm at best. Very bland as well. Not worth what I paid at all.

Ordered through Just Eat, food came quickly but was lukewarm at best and the main box was squashed where something else had clearly been sat on it so had leaked. The rice was very bland and definitely wasn't fresh as it was a weird texture and the egg in it was really dried out. There were no vegetables in the sweet and sour chicken and there was very little sauce. The sauce it had was very bland and sugary. Nothing fresh about it and definitely not worth what I paid for it.

Long wait, but food was really nice and good quality. Food also came hot! Would order again!

Ordered at 19:10 was supposed to be ready at 19:30. The staff have said order is ready on the just eat side at 19:30. Food was handed to me at 19:48. All staff could say was just be a few minutes. No apology offered and they said “nothing they can do”. Shocking service and won’t bother with just eat again as they clearly don’t moderate the sellers

Amazing food, very well priced for generous portion sizes. Never an issue with any ordering via their website or in shop. Always polite and great service. We go every week on a Friday night to get a take out and will continue to do so

Overall quality of the food is good. Fresh tasting, nicely cooked - the big issue is the dishes just don’t match expectation in terms of flavor and ingredients. Kung Po is usually darker, more umami, and chilli hot - this is basically sweet and sour with a pinch of chili and a few of cashews. For the price, which is very high, I’d hope for something much better. I know ingredient costs are high, and I don’t mind paying more - but £12.60 for kung po chicken with fried rice, it needs to be better.

Ordered Chinese at 7.45pm before the order was processed it said 45 min wait so 8.30pm (which was fine) after payment it then said estimated delivery 9.30pm! Didn’t arrive by 9.30 so tried to ring to cancel as I didn’t want to wait any longer after tryin 50+ times to get through there was no answer so I went to bed as it was now 10.30! Delivery driver turned up at 10.45!! 3hours late I didn’t answer the door so got a phone call saying my delivery was here told him I wanted a refund (which I did get) and that waiting 3 hours without even a phone call was not satisfactory. I would avoid if your hungry!

As I only live across the road I wanted to try it out. I ordered the share box and some fried rice dishes. The food was hot and tasted great! Will definitely be back again.

Ordered from here waited 2 hours!! After 20 calls and getting nowhere with the caller on the other end our food came… ordered salt and pepper chicken and this is what came.. such a shame. Got a kebab coming instead

Food not great but not terrible let down by the 2hour wait for food delivery. Half hour overdue. Honestly not worth the wait. Last time ordering here and have been a customer for years. Chase up and it will be ten mins that was twenty mins ago 😆

Ordered salt and pepper chips, but they were just ordinary chips. The sauce that came with the combination meals were already poured onto the food which made the food sloppy. However it tasted good and came nice and hot.

Love the papery/cardboard containers for the combo boxes. Please never change them to plastic boxes! Great food, will order again!

I go back to these time and again, not had a disappointment yet (over years). Good range of dishes and tastes, great starters. Recommended

Disapointed Quality was shocking not very good, the chow mein had no taste and the chips and sat n chilli chicken tasted like it had been deep fried at least 4 times. Worst meal I've had from there. Disappointed

Delivery was great but the food was bland and really not pleasant to eat unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend based on tonight’s meal.

The crispy chilli BEEF should be called crispy chilli batter, not 1 piece of beef inside there ..... Salt and pepper chicken , had chicken inside but didn't have salt and pepper on it . Salt and pepper chips had zero salt and pepper on it .... Portions of the crispy chilli batter and plain chips were tiny for the price we paid !

Tasted absolutely awful and spent 20 pounds on the food for it to be cold the dumplings tasted like they were off and the rice tasted burn and cold never going here again

Quality is always consistent here, food is relatively fresh and decent portion sizes. My only downside is most of the sauces taste the same or similar but we still buy from here almost every week.

Had to wait over 2h for delivery for food that was not even worth the wait. Placed the order on the app and was given between 1:15-1:45h for delivery but even managed to overshoot that by 45min. Will not be ordering again.

Food just very bland. Salt and pepper chips had nothing on them, fillet steak was chewy, barely any egg in the fried rice, chow mein contained really weird pieces of textureless pork/sausage (think spam) and the chicken was underdone and hadn't seen any browning from a pan.

Missing item from the order. However I phoned the restaurant and it was quickly delivered.

Really disappointed, quality of the food was really bad, noodles were really dry, missed the rice from our order, food was warmish when collected not hot. Overall not the best, id recommend going elsewhere.

Delivery time was reasonable for a Saturday night and the driver was very nice. However, that’s the only positive I can find sadly. Food just really wasn’t very good, bland and overpriced. Wouldn’t go here again.

Our food was delivered over an hour early, we ordered it for 8:45 and it came for 7:35. Unfortunately we weren’t hungry and had to eat it warmed up in the microwave. It tasted okay but I am sure it would have tasted better if it had turned up at the time we asked for when we were going to be hungry

Estimated 35-50 minute delivery, took over two hours to arrive which is a shame as the food quality was good all round but the delivery time is crazy.

Food eventually turned up at 20:06 and we placed our order at 17:58. Was nice good though when it arrived although it did need warming up in the microwave a bit

Sorry guys but the King Prawns in Fresh Chilli - the sauce was so sweet I couldn’t eat it. I expected Fresh Chillies, maybe some Garlic, Ginger etc.

unfortunately the food was quite bland and the curry sauce was watery. Disappointing especially as it was late. received a text to say the food was on it's way at 7.25, didn't arrive until 8.10 after a call to the shop.

I was a little disappointed that I hardly had any King Prawns really and could have had more curry sauce, it didn’t seem as full as usual. Chips lovely though and all tasted nice. Just wanted to feed that back really.
