This is a Hunan restaurant that even non-Hunanese will fall in love with! Conveniently located 300m from holborn metro station, 6 minutes walk. The meat is tender and juicy, and the chopped pepper sauce is moderately sour and spicy. Went there last Wednesday. Customer service was great. Foods came really quick. The person serving us was friendly. I really enjoyed the rice and the dishes. Since I have a heavy taste, I personally would preferred more spicy and sour. And less oil would be preferable. Overall, is highly recommended to have a try for sure. 👍🏻

Last week, after visiting the British Museum, we walked for just 3 minutes to try out the 'Taste of China' cuisine. Here’s what we loved: Favorite Dish: Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs 🍖 The ribs were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The balance of sweet and sour was just right. If you love sweet and sour flavors, this is a must-try! We also tried the Fish Fillet with Pickled Vegetables 🐟The fish fillets were incredibly tender, and the pickled vegetables added a perfect tangy flavor. Each bite tasted authentic Hunan cuisine, and it paired perfectly with rice.

A friend recommended this place for its authentic Hunan flavors, and after this visit, my family and I were very satisfied. The food was delicious, especially the Sweetcorn and Pork Ribs Soup 🍲. The sweetness of the corn and the savory ribs blended perfectly, making it incredibly satisfying. The restaurant’s ambiance is also fantastic—spacious and bright. The taste was okay when I first came, but the taste has gotten worse and worse these past few times. The restaurant was empty on Saturday nights, and most of the people who came were tourist groups. It feels like it will close down in just a few days. The service attitude is also not good. Saw this place after bowling and decided ti go with bunch of co workers afterwards for dinner. Big sized portions and well flavoured dishes all round. Not overly pricey. Decorations, seating and layout felt more of a European restaurant but serving Chinese food. Some staff were better than others, one barely spoke any english at all. When it was pay time they offered discount if you pay in cash. Most surprisingly they were willing to take HKD/RMB (not that we had any, as they thought we were tourist) Busy t junction road so parking is limited but nearby street packing is available

Ordered takeout today, steamed pork ribs with rice. My wife and I both had diarrhea after eating. We don’t know whether the rice was sour or the meat was sour. I wouldn't advise coming here. The service is awful,food was dumbed on table and didn't even offer glasses for drinks or try and communicate at all, we orded hot mixed starter, shredded beef noodles and steamed wontons and 2 cokes and got 1 small rib, 1 small skewer , 1 piece of prawn with seaweed , 4 wantons , and medium portion of noodles that was overly spiced, final bill was £51.50, food was good , but poor service and very expensive.

Went in there and waiter couldn't understand English told us to point on menu no problems but ordered 2 starters and 2 mains got mains before starter and was told this is normal and was supposed to say we want them separate which we did ordered chicken chilli in black bean sauce and just got chicken and chilli with no black bean sauce we then walked out and would definitely not go back or recommend

Sans doute une des seules fois de ma vie ou je quitte un restaurant avant la fin du repas. Les entrées réchauffées sans doute plusieurs fois. Les plats idem. Le bœuf sauce aux haricots noir était même douteux . Rajoutez à cela l enfant de la maison avec sa tablette qui joue à tue tête et le tour est joué. Il y a de quoi avoir honte surtout pour 83 livres

A Hunan cuisine restaurant in a great location. Those who like spicy food should come. The service in the restaurant is quite good. I recommend trying the kelp and spare rib soup, as well as the dry pot dishes – they're really warming in the winter!

Very authentic Hunan food! Highly recommend sour bean with pork dish and huang beef, it’s a great balance between deliciousness and spiciness.

I ate it four times. It was delicious. One of my favourite restaurants in London.

到了冬令时，到了半夜都会好馋那种家常到不行的料理！这次经过Holborn被我发现一家叫湖南人的餐厅，居然就有这种不管是日常或者聚会都能包办的湘菜馆，人均25！
