Taste in Redcar and Cleveland

Went here for coffee and a cake. We had flat whites and a scoundrel. They were quickly served and the coffees were strong and tasty. The scoundrels were a type of cake/biscuit with nuts and fruit in and glacé cherries on top. Taste is a small shop based coffee house and when we went was quite busy. As the ground floor was full we went to the downstairs lounge. This was comfy. A good place for good coffee.

Having run/walked past this lovely little dog friendly cafe many times on previous visits to Saltburn-by-the-Sea we popped in with the dog for coffee and cakes today. Super friendly staff and a pleasant ambience. We had treacle tart and caramel cake, both delicious. Can’t wait to visit again to try the clucking pig scotch eggs and frangipani tart. We sat upstairs at street level but there are comfy sofas downstairs too. Free dog water and a tub of dog biscuits. Highly recommended

Lovely little cafe with lovely small plates, cakes and great coffee, lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff. We had some much welcome homemade soup on our first visit and came back the next day for pies, paninis and salad. Lovely people and great food, will come again .. and again...
