Smallish starter and a bit disappointed with my main course. Tables crammed in as well but staff were attentive.

I don’t know what kind of kitchen this it ! But definitely not Turkey 🇹🇷 food Sorry guys overpriced and not good quality

Authentic Rurkish cuisine served with smiles and professionalism. Had good Hummus after a long time and the Tauk Shish with Couscous was way too good. Good portion, centrally located just in 2mins walk from the Southwark underground station.

Some pieces of meat were row, portions small.. only staff was good and polite..

I have been traveling to Turkey all my life and I have never eaten Turkish food as delicious as in this restaurant, everything was delicious, the treatment was very friendly, I recommend 100%, we will return without a doubt!

Food was good. Authentic Turkish cuisine. Three of us were happy, one not so. Service was dreadful. Water didn't arrive. Drinks arrived after starters. Struggle to order some extra bread as very little provided with yoghurt starters. Empty plates left for ages. Cheek to ask for 13.5% 'optional' service charge which, for the first time in my life, we declined to pay.

I have visited Tas many times over the years for pre theatre dinner. Food is fantastic, reasonably priced, service is great and it is perfect location for the Old Vic, New Vic, National Theatre. Went last night and reminded me how much I love the food there and shouldn't just go when I go to the theatre!

I visited Tas Restaurant located at The Cut, very close to Southwark Station. I highly recommend the dessert called "Kaymaklı Kestane" – it was simply delicious. The overall experience was delightful, and I'll definitely be returning!!!

Lovely restaurant located in a lively spot close to Waterloo station, I had a meal deal of two mezes, a main course and a drink. To start with I had crispy filo pastry triangles(borek), and grilled Turkish traditional beef garlic sausage. Then I had Mixed Grill for the main, the sauce meat marinated in was stunning, and I had dry house red wine that made gorgeous combination with main course! Top notch!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere over there including the food, service, and the ambience.

Terrible experience. Ordered the main meal calamari. Tasteless and over priced for what it was. They Forgot to include the sauce. We ordered together but food came at different time and it was totally chaotic. They got my order wrong and waiter was rude insisting I ordered the soup which I didn't. Would avoid. I regret that I allowed the automatic tip and should have asked to take it off.

Good restaurant located in the Cut, small theater area in Waterloo. We were recommended by our hotel concierge to try to this restaurant. It is different and food quality was good, service was kind of slow but the restaurant was busy with big parties. Variety of menu items and drinks. Flavors of the dishes were good but food didn't come out hot.

Sadly my fond memory of Tas The Cut from 2009 through to 2020/2021 was ripped apart as the once upon a time £11.95 Lunchtime Sahan menu - where I’d partake of red lentil soup and the chicken casserole with couscous - was replaced with a shocking Sahan experience; the same offering, probably the same (small plate) portion - but a whopping price tag of £23.50. So I opted for the Mixed grill at £24.50 and was surprised when just 2 cubes of lamb, 2 cubes of chicken and a small lamb kofte with 1/2 cup salad and 1/2 cup couscous were presented. Sadly that’s the end of Tas for me. And I don’t even get to keep those fond memories!

Absolutely love the food and atmosphere! I’ve been invited to this restaurant by a friend for the first time couple days ago and it was a great experience. I’ve tried the halloumi with broccoli and it was delicious! Definitely recommend it 👍

Pretty decent experience at Tas. We visited on a Monday evening, which was still a relatively busy night for the restaurant. We opted for the 2 courses for £35, which also included a drink. Good value for London. The starters were excellent, with a good mix of meze style choices. I opted for the mixed grill main course, which was a good portion with well cooked meat. A good location, close to Waterloo and Southwark train stations, would recommend!

We had lunch before a matinee at the Old Vic. Set menu at £35. Very good value. 2 starter - the beef sausages were delicious; bourek also great. Then i had the mixed grill and my partner had a chicken stew - Tuvalu also very good. I would recommend this: comes with a glass of wine! Good value and good accessibility access! (I am in a wheelchair)

We went here with a booking done during a small time slot and managed to get the booking done quickly. The time was best for us as the space was not full at all and atmosphere was perfect. Food was flavourful but nothing specific however loved to hummus. Wish the bread was a bit crispy. Staff were attentive and quick.

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years and it has always been very good until this evening. Had hummus to start which did not taste good it always came with warm Turkish flatbread but we got what seemed to be ciabatta bread, cold. I asked the waiter have they stopped serving their delicious bread and he wasn't sure how to reply and said the Tas down the road still do. I had Tavuk Sis, the chicken was square and did not taste right my husband had Kofte which was dry and seemed to have been warmed up. We had 2 cokes, the bill came to £61.74 because of a £7.34 service charge. We will never go back their prices are extortionate.

Real average experience, the food just ok, not the best humus neither the best Tavuc Guvec, tasteless and dry. Atmosphere not the best, it was over noisy! Definitely not to come back.

Went for a quick meal before the theatre, we chose the fixed price menu. The starters were very good but I found the Lamb kofta with couscous a bit dry, which was a shame because it had the potential to be very tasty. I would go again in the future but would make different choices.

Not worth the money I’m afraid - much better grill food options in town for the money we paid. Service was confusing too, not sure what they were doing by not being careful for serving wrong dishes at wrong tables.

Food was just okay. The atmosphere of the restaurant was not anything special. It is ok to eat here if you want to grab a quick bite and don't have the time to find a better place.

TAS seems to have become much less value. The mains, grills, were ordinary, overcooked and quite tough. They are now overpriced. Starters are pretty small too. It's a while since I last went, and I used to like it. I wouldn't rush to go again.

Overrated, the quality of the dishes does not match the prices charged. A table stake of more than 7 pounds sterling is greatly exaggerated for the venue. I don't recommend it especially as in the outskirts there are much better places.

This is not anything close to authentic Turkish food. The poor quality of the meat, coupled with the un-traditional spin on the dishes, resulted in a horrible experience. We shared this feedback with the waiters and it was just brushed off.

DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Unbelievably bad and hugely overpriced food. Stale salad drenched in syrupy dressing, gluey two-day old cous cous, and oily gristly lamb kofte. Barely edible. Truly disgusting and one of the worst meals of my life. Everyone involved should be deeply ashamed of themselves. The restaurant is very nice, but its cuisine is not very pleasant. Not bad, but rather banal. It did not leave me satisfied despite having often tasted Turkish cuisine, even in Istanbul.

I've never understood why this place gets great reviews. Ive been in a handful of times over 10 years, always other peoples choice. Latest visit. The food was average and expensive. The sunday atmosphere was sundayish so not their fault, but the staff looked like it was the last day of a working week. And service was just the barest minimum, with no thought to good service, yet they still want 13%. I think they just take that 13% as a given and dont think they need to work for it, but working for it would get more sales. I could say how they could improve service, and get more sales .... but I'd want 13% for doing the bare minimum too.

Very nice venue, I was expecting something a bit more punchy in terms of food but guess it comes to everyone's taste. Decent service and lively atmosphere.

Good food but service was bad. They were very slow, and we kept having to ask to be served even though we had a big table in the middle of the dining hall.

Was in there for the iftar! I thought that they are Turkish kebab restaurant, I think that they are doing something else and it was so expensive. It was really bad choice when I was so hungry. I ordered Adana Kebab, baklava and tea, paid 35 pound, they brought something as a kebab, there was no lahmacun! I paid 35 pound which was really crazy expensive. I eat all but I was hungry, your baklava was not fresh. Anyway, I had to flag those things..

This is a very good restaurant. We had a Meze experience and ordered three small dishes each. The food was excellent. Some of the seats are a bit hard and not so comfortable so I would go for the ones at the front. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal out. Be aware it can get very busy pre theatre but less so 7.30pm onwards.

Not the birthday celebration expected. Understaffed, one waiter downstairs which was either busy with other tables or not there at all. Food quality just ok and small portions. Had to go upstairs to get the bill since the waiter disappeared and were told to pay upstairs because of no connection downstairs. Wouldn’t recommend.

Birthday celebration get together.. food was really delicious. Loved the experience with food and ambience only issue was service was bit slow and have to look for waiter not only us but rest of nearby tables too.

The food was really delicious. Sharing meze platter was really good. Definetely recommended.

Went in for a quick dinner, an hour and a half later we were still waiting for our mains. Two small hot starters turned up cold after 45 mins then sat on our table for another 45 mins. I had to ask where our food was, I genuinely don't think it would ever have come. When it did turn up it was mediocre at best, the kebab tasted of very little. Very poor all round unfortunately.

We visited for drinks, we were waiting for our table at another restaurant elsewhere. Tas restaurant was very busy with diners and they were under no obligation to let us take a table. They squeezed us in however which was greatly appreciated. The food that was on the other tables looked great. Great staff, highly recommended.

Awful service - took 20 minutes to serve soft drinks after we had ordered. Food was dry and tasteless and expensive. Had to ask multiple times for dishes. Only plus was the portions were large - but the food was so awful we didn’t eat it all.

To my surprise staff do not claim they serve halal certified products contrary to their website. Ended up changing my choice of menu.

Dinner for two had the set menu, 2 meze and a main each so had a nice selection to choose from and because of the two starters it was like tapas between the both of us. The food was great, very flavoursome and good size portions plus the bread is to die for!

Have been here a couple of times before but was very disappointed when having an early Saturday dinner. Service was very poor from beginning to very end; had to continually chase (eg menus given 10 min after arriving after asking for them) for everything despite the place not being too busy yet. Food was tasty but portions are relatively the smallest of any similar places I have dined in - for example, this is not a place where you can share a mixed grill. Unfortunately, the price does not reflect the portion size - it is expensive.

Firstly let me say the food was lovely but that's all I can say the service was so poor waited a hour for starters then mains come out in mind not all came out so as we eat family member didn't, when we asked why so long the manager clearly with english issues said we didn't order another dish so finished what we did have and refused the late dish which was OK but then they tried adding to the bill and a service charge 👎🏽 I didn't pay for the extra dish and the service charge terrible service but good food 2/10

Excellent Anatolian restaurant. Great food and helpful staff.

The atmosphere in general was good and the place was busy but the service was not fantastic as we had to keep looking for a waiter everytime we needed something. The looked good but it was quite cold and the bread they put in my Iskender was old and very hard.

12 of us popped in and had fantastic food. The service was great too.

Went for a lunch with family on this restaurant which we found on Google maps due to the Turkish restaurants reputation. We have been many times on other Turkish restaurants, they bring full dishes, bread at the start and tasty food. This time, we had no bread, the food was ok, but the portions were half or less than what we have eaten before. We needed more than one portion, but at a costly price. We even had to ask for bread as it was not present. Service charge was applied too. Would definitely not recommend.

Food was fine but not amazing. Service was poor. We arrived at 4 pm, restaurant was quiet, 4 staff who were really good at avoiding to look at tables/customers when walking around. Difficult to get their attention.

It's been a long time since I was here, but when we visited today it was as good as ever. I really enjoyed the Meze, which if anything were tastier than I remember and my memory was that they were already good. Great place for an enjoyable meal.

Highly recommended, great food, sufficient staff to provide a good service (it's quite a large and busy venue), and a high energy atmosphere (read quite noisy, which was perfect because we were a party of 8 and this was a perfect fit). You probably pay a little more than average but this is returned in the quality.

Wonderful food and service. We were a large group who had either never met or had met a while back, so we were quite noisy. We were asked if we could keep the noise down. The restaurant was not busy so I'm not sure if a diner complained or the wait or just took it upon himself to tell us off for being happy to see our friends. The waiter could have handled the situation differently. Overall, we had a great time.

Nice place but not overwhelmed. They offered the group menu but preferred items from the main menu. Really great selection on the main menu, the mezze items are lovely.

Had moussaka (veg). Was a different experience and taste. Taste was pretty decent, tried a Turkish restaurant for the first time.

Very pleased with our experince at the restaurant. 5 of us visited including a vegan and someone suffering from a nut allergy. Staff very helpful with the questions we had - mentioning what dishes could be made vegan and ones to avoid for certain nuts. Dishes were tasty and good portion size. Would return (or maybe try one of their other restaurants).

Tas at the Cut has been a fav many a time, service was excellent, it was super busy so full marks for care and attention to detail, alas the food was not as good as usual, more fast food than usual delicious Turkish special 😏

Nice restaurant. Greeted on arrival and shown to the table. Then it was a long wait with waiters avoiding eye contact and congregating by the bar. Eventually managed to find the guy that sat us. He took our order. The meze plater for two was great. Especially the shrimp and calamari. Not quite sure what everything was as the explanation from the waiter on the dish I did not recognise was yes it's nice. I would have liked to order more bread and a second drink, but again the waiters were making themselves busy avoiding the diners.

Food was not great from my experience, lack of authentic flavours were missing. It's a busy place and probably better accommodates tourists

The mezes are fresh and delicious, I also recommend you to try Hünkar Beğendi. The employees were very polite and the service was good.

Tas serves great food and is always reliable.

The service, hygiene and food is superior to other restaurants and Turkish restauranta in London. The quality has been kept and hasn't changed since when i firat visitrd in 2018. Cannot recommend enough if you like good food and Turkish quisine. Deffinitely worth to visit with friends and family.
