Went for a friends birthday Food was ok. Lamb chops were okay but my bao buns were disappointing. Great drinks and good vibes though and the staff were nice.

Absolutely amazing! I attended Tarshish for a business dinner. The service was wonderful as was the food and the drinks. I ordered chips, fried halloumi and callamari and it was all cooked to perfection. I do like my food supper hot though, I must admit the halloumi could have been hotter however, it tasted great! Claudia and Thomas were my waiters and they were on hand any time I needed. A special thank you to both Claudia and Thomas for being so polite and efficient in their service. And to Claudia for sorting out the drinks for us. I will come back here again for a leisurely visit too.

On Thursday the first of April my partner and I went for dinner at 9 o’clock, the restaurant it’s nice and well decorated , we order and wait for our food to arrive, I ordered lame chopped and my partner ordered mixed kebab, as soon as he start to eat, there was along hair in his Adena kebab. Ok we told them and they said we will change it, I start to eat , when I finished , his food arrived , even the manager did not bother to come and apologise, we finish and at 10.30 we order tea they said the bar it’s closed and we cannot accept the order, anyway we really didn’t like the service and do not recommend the restaurant at all

The iftar menu was ok... the atmosphere was not ramadan friendly as they were playing vulgar music and no prayer space but the mixed grill was delicious. The drinks were tasty too... the bap was average at best. I woupd reccomend this for a nice chill evening and lounge vibe

If a snake was a person! I recently used the private hire space in Tarshish for my birthday; what a rollercoaster! TLDR: Double booked me delaying my prep, retrospectively added £300 room hire to booking that they demanded out of the blue on the night and then gave away free drinks to my guests then charged me for not meeting minimum drinks spend; the height of deceitfulness. I enquired about my dates and then made the visit from South to North London to view (along with many other venues) and was told it was a set menu of £45pp (inc service charge paid in cash on the night) and minimum £25 drinks spend. I knew my guests wouldn’t make the full spend as there were many non-drinkers so I decided I was willing to make the difference. I was advised if I decided to go ahead, I had to come back in person to give a £500 cash deposit to secure the room. As inconvenient as it was, I did just that and was told to sign a paper ‘form’ they have where they write all the details about the booking on it and get me to sign and they keep this; no copy for me, no email with details, only auto email saying, you have a booking etc. Already felt dodgy but due to many reviews, I went ahead. Was called back on the same night telling me they’d missed that the room was already booked and they would try to speak to the other party. The stress! Then I called back day after day for about a week with them saying they were trying too get hold of this person so I was wasting time going back and forth looking for backup venues which wasted precious days of planning and sending out my invites. After a week they finally got the other person to confirm they didn’t want the room so I could rush to get everything else sorted now that I had a confirmed venue. On the night, my makeup artist was 1.5 hours late which made me late which was already upsetting. On the face of it, Tarshish seemed to handle it well and with the busy kitchen they did their best to get food out. The main problem started when the final bill came. I saw the remaining food money, plus service charge plus £300 room hire. I felt sick! We asked Onur, what is this £300 room hire and he said “take out the picture you have on your phone of the contract”, knowing full well I had no copy or picture of the contract. He then showed my brother (who came with me on the viewing) a contract where they had prominently written in pen the £300 room hire fee that wasn’t there when I signed it. Sickening. He then said, well I was going to waive your remaining drinks spend and charge you £150ph for more time in the room so pay the drinks spend instead, which I would have just done from the beginning anyway (and the service charge was included but just shown separately). I paid an additional £372. After the event at least 3 separate people told me they were given free drinks on the night, including cocktails, who knows how many more. And still they charged me extra money for drinks they know they had given away. To look someone in the eye and lie about contracts and be so deceitful just speaks to the core of the person you are and Tarshish is run by the most devious of men that will screw you over when given the chance. Hire at your own risk.

The manager was very friendly and the atmosphere was amazing in Turnpike Lane branch. Sorry I can’t give more than 5 stars. 🌟

What a beautiful experience we had at Tarshish tonight!! Adnan, the manager, made sure we had the best time there by being welcoming, fun, attentive and going above and beyond! The atmosphere was amazing, music was brilliant and clean areas. Adnan was so accommodating and assisted my family who flew in from Sweden to surprise me on my birthday tonight at Tarshish. The 1.5hr journey there was 100% worth it and will definitely be visiting again! Thank you again x

Tuve una noche encantadora celebrando mi cumpleaños tardío con amigos y familiares muy cercanos. Demi era nuestro personal asignado y era muy servicial y de apoyo. Ella gestionó nuestros pedidos con tanta calma y estaba feliz y sonriente cada vez que venía a comprobar que estábamos bien o tomar más pedidos. El restaurante estaba limpio y el personal era amable y acogedor. La única desventaja era que el calentador no funcionaba arriba, así que la mitad de mis invitados se sentaron con sus abrigos durante la mayor parte de la noche! Afortunadamente el personal (particularmente Demi) lo hizo más agradable. Sin duda volvería a Tarshish, pero lo más probable es que una vez que el tiempo se caliente!

Came out for a really good friends surprise birthday dinner and I must say it was fabulous. The service from the staff was impeccable. There was a lady who helped with the surprise and she did exceptionally great with coordinating it all to make sure the celebrant was avoided by all friends until it was time. The servers were very friendly and polite. The set up was great, food was good and the drinks had great presentation. 10/10 for Tarshish. I was pleased.

It's a completely fraudulent business, they charge for reservations in advance, they say your table is ready for each person, they leave it to the last seconds and give you the worst place, they try to make you sit at the bar, saying that there is no room left in their mind, the employees say that we will refund the fee without informing each other, but they say we don't, there is no room in the place, they collect money from the reservation and leave you to the bad place at the last minute, they try to make money by making customers sit on top of each other, it is a complete disgrace, a disrespectful business, do not be disgraced with your money, I returned from the door of the place where I had no fun. I saved the business 75 pounds, robbers

Absolutely disgusting restaurant! The prices for the flavourless food is a joke, set menu on valentines day which you wasn't told about just shows it's about money to the owner. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Service was a bismol, food was dry and flavourless, mac and cheese was full of oil and to top it off everything was cold. Rice was the best thing on the menu facts. Ohhhh and the service charge is a joke aswell. I complained about everything and all the waitress said was 'ok' nothing else. Poor is an under statement.

Terrible Experience – Overpriced and Awful Service I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was shockingly bad. From start to finish, it was a complete disaster. To begin with, I was served fish that was clearly not fresh and, to make matters worse, it was undercooked. It was genuinely inedible. My partner ordered a burger that looked and tasted like it came from a cheap canteen – nothing remotely close to what you’d expect from an establishment charging premium prices. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but when we expressed our dissatisfaction, it was met with indifference. To add insult to injury, we were served calamari without any cutlery or plates. Who serves food without the basics? It felt like we were an inconvenience to them. After an extremely disappointing meal, we decided enough was enough and asked for the bill. We were absolutely stunned to see we were charged the full amount – a staggering £300 – for food that was not only poorly prepared but also left us feeling completely unsatisfied. When we expressed our dissatisfaction to the manager, instead of showing concern or trying to resolve the issue, he was visibly shocked and irritated that we weren’t happy. For the prices they charge, you would expect exceptional food and attentive service. Instead, we received the exact opposite. I genuinely feel robbed. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values its customers. Absolutely disappointed. Never again.

Don’t bother!!!! £75 plus service charge valentines set menu and the food was so bad. Flavourless chicken, chewy lamb and mac n cheese dripping with oil! Nearly £200 for a dinner for 2 in Wood Green! Why are you charging central London prices with chicken shop quality food??? Should be ashamed. Concentrate on better food instead of the decor.

Tarshish have had a revamp and its such a lovely place to dine, the furniture and decor just beautiful. The food was amazing the lamb chops are a top win! P.s. arrive on time so you get to enjoy your time the place gets booked up very quickly!

Tarshish’s rooftop lounge is a fantastic spot! The atmosphere is amazing, and the food is just as impressive. The shisha is smooth and flavorful, easily the best I’ve had. The beef sliders and king prawns were both delicious, and the mixed shish and lamb beyti were flavorful, especially with the aromatic rice. The desserts, including the textures of cigar, pink lady, and chocolate fondant, were all incredible. Highly recommend for great food & a great vibe.

You climb a few flights of stairs to the top. The decor quite quirky and dark. Quite a noisy venue with loud music. Suitable for Gen Z tiktok fan. Food average. Calamari served from Frozen packs. Otherwise a good atmosphere

It use to be good. Not anymore. Food not as good like it used to be to, staff use to be very welcoming previously and now they all look so grumpy and disappointed.

Everything was fantastic food was amazing shisha was great staff were friendly and helpful. Until I got home and realised that I got charged £20 for not showing up to my reservation. A restaurant at this level. My bill was £87.74 I paid £50 cash and the rest £37.74 on my card.

Food was nice, service was not great tho, waited 45 mins for drinks.... atmosphere was chilled , they had a dj playing house not to loud tho. The inside is nice, nice chill place to grab a much. Parking is not great tho, the customer parking was full, cost me £15 to park which you have to consider....

We went to have dinner as a group of 12 people. The order was taken at 7:15pm and the food arrived around 9:05pm, it took 1 hour and 50 minutes. The presentation was disgraceful, only 3 small bowls of bread were brought to 11 people. Orders were undercooked. When it comes to payment, not everyone can pay their own account. Since the book was made as a group, we were asked to pay the accounts of 11 people with a single card. We talked to the Manager about this issue and our request was fulfilled and after 1 hour of effort, the person paid his own bill and left. I would definitely not recommend going as a group. Thanks

We went to this restaurant with my colleagues- food tasted okay but very late so ended up taking away- service -1 we kept waiting for then to bring the bread (stingy) then we got tired and then lost appetite- food it self tastes good but due to the circumstances we couldn’t enjoy any of it. I do love this place had a brilliant time for my birthday. Some of the food wasn't to my taste but that's not saying it isn't nice just wasn't for me. Other then that I epuld always go back.

I had fun there because of the people I went with! Regarding the actual restaurant, it looks the part but lacks in customer service eg the waitress serving or table was extremely rude! My food was tasteless and disgusting that I basically spent the night being sick when I got home! I would never go back there if I’m honest they need to relaunch with better food and staff!

Had a really disappointing experience at Tarshish. From start to finish, it was a complete letdown. The staff were rude and unprofessional, and at one point, one of them even shouted at me and my friends, which was just shocking. On top of that, the service was an absolute mess. Our main course was completely forgotten and we had to ask a different member of staff to sort it out. After waiting ages, the food finally arrived, but by that point, the mood was already ruined. It was pretty clear the place is understaffed, and the few staff who were working didn’t seem interested in being helpful. The atmosphere didn’t help either. The music was so loud we couldn’t even hear each other speak, so having a proper conversation was impossible. It felt more like being in a club than a restaurant. Overall, this was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Rude staff, forgotten food, slow service, and unbearable noise – it’s not what you expect when you’re paying for a meal out. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless you like being ignored, shouted at, and left waiting for your food. Avoid this place!

So good was mediocre at best. The dips were nice though. Service I would say is probably the worst I’ve ever witnessed in any restaurant in my life. Few of the waitresses literally shouted at my friends when we requested bread, wanted to order a drink etc. The waitresses (2 of them) constantly kept rolling their eyes and taking a very rude tone to paying customers. This is probably due to the waitresses being stretched and understaffed - so it’s definitely due to problem higher up. In the end I asked a different waiter to help us, who asked me to ask the 2 waitresses instead and just redirected me. I got a cake for my friends birthday that I asked them to bring to the table about 5 times - in the end I had to do it myself. Then they’d only take cash payment with large groups (and only two cards - which doesn’t work with a group of 20) which was a tedious experience. My friends all had terrible experiences. The restaurant looks nice, but the music is too loud.

Worst dining experience I ever had. Avoid this place at all cost. The waitresses were beyond rude and food was cold and under cooked. They were rolling eyes, and did not respect us. We were a group of 20 girls and not a single of my friend had a positive experience here. One of my friends was sick and throwing up until 2 am after having fish there. Would never ever dine in this pace again. Think 10 times before throwing your money in this disgrace of a restaurant.

The customer service was horrible, food took a while to arrive. We had a birthday cake which we requested to three staff members to bring it to the table, but it never came. Then, one of our friends had to go and bring it over herself with the candle. Not happy at all and wouldn't definitely not recommend this place.

We had gone before last year and everything was amazing but then we came with a big group and they couldn’t handle it. Food was mediocre and service was slow and rude. Don’t go here and expect a good time don’t go here!! The manager coughed in my face! Food was cold! They were not accommodating to a big group!

Great food. Nicely presented. Good for a night out. Too loud for me. A DJ was playing a good set of tunes but it's not really my thing, eating and feeling like I'm in a club. Definitely more for the young crowd and opportunity to dress up glam. Multiple levels with bar, club and shisha. Make sure to book to avoid disappointment 😞

I was here for my friend's wedding party. It was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is great, the location is easy to navigate and the food was tasty. Maybe because my friends getting married are Kenyans and probably have specified that the food should have more flavour 😁 It was a mixed race attendees and the comments on the food were great. The platters were quite huge and we had to take some food home- surplus! Not sure about anything else as I was just at the space booked for the wedding party which has a bar (quite expensive though, but didn't have much great expectations).

Our dining experience was quite disappointing. From the tough lamb shish to the tasteless dry chicken and some sort of flatbread, the meal didn't meet our expectations. The lack of friendly service further added to the negative experience. The senior staff in white should know better. It's always frustrating and let down when a recommendation doesn't live up to its promise, but it's good to know for next time.

Might as well have threw my money in the bin, I’ve had better food at local chicken shops. Way too overpriced for what it is. Way too loud as well. Interior was the only good thing about it

Visted this place again after a long time. A 40th birthday group with 26 people, family and friends. The servers had done their best. Some of the dishes came out warm and not hot. We had to send some dishes back. Personally, this situation has happened to me at quite a few restaurants. They can't cater for large parties because they haven't hired enough staff for the event. It's a shame.

Never eaten something that tastes so good in my life. I went 3 years ago in October and I still think about it sometimes before I sleep. It’s that kinda food where you can’t name what ingredients are in it cause of the way it feels when you eat it. Those really high tier restaurants that are innovative!

Would not recommend. After climbing a good amount of stairs, you’re led into a pretty place. The drinks were the only thing good and what I would recommend. Ordered the halloumi and calamari which tasted like it was cooked from frozen. £21 for a sad excuse of a burger and the chips were so stale and starchy. The service could’ve been better as well.

I recently hosted a birthday celebration with a group of 12 at Tarshish restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations. I’d like to share some specific concerns: 1. Rushed Ordering: Upon arrival, we were asked to place our orders within 5-10 minutes, even though the entire party had not yet arrived. This caused unnecessary stress as I had to call everyone individually to take their orders over the phone. We were repeatedly reminded that another group was scheduled after us, which also created pressure during the celebration. For larger groups, it would be more considerate to offer longer time slots to allow guests to fully enjoy their experience. 2. Food Hygiene: One of my cousin’s dishes arrived with a fly in it, and she had to wait another 30 minutes for a replacement, by which time everyone else had already finished eating. 3. Premature Clearing of Drinks: One of my friend’s drinks was cleared away without her knowledge before she had finished it, which was quite disappointing. 4. Payment Process: The policy of allowing payment with only one card was particularly inconvenient, as I had to collect individual payments from my friends, which disrupted the flow of the evening. 5. They took away my unfinished birthday cake and didn’t offer to package it. I was very upset by this and due to being rushed for taking payments forgot to ask. Although the food and ambience was great, I will not be coming here again and will not recommend it to anyone else due to the poor customer service.

Food average at best. They took my plate away with 2/3rds of the food remaining without asking if I was done eating or whether I wanted to pack it away. They done this slyly whilst I was distracted. They later repeated this behaviour with my beverage, took my half-full glass (the Marilyn Monroe one) when I left it at the table with my friends to go to the bathroom. Rude and rushed service.

Okay, so this review is three years late, but better late than never, right? This is still hands down my favourite restaurant! I can still remember the amazing customer service like yesterday—it left such a lasting impression. And don’t even get me started on the food! It was so good, it blew my expectations out of the water. I’m already counting down the days until I can return next year!

Omar and his team are just what you want when you want to enjoy dinner in a lovely venue. Service and food are always spot on. I have been back one too many times — my go-to restaurant when I want good food and a relaxing evening.

Great food and atmosphere. The service was very slow to begin with. Unable to order drinks at the bar. Asked for water ×4, was only brought to the table after the 4th time of asking. This location was not accessible for disabled people due to the amount of stairs with no lift available. In 2024, that is shocking. This is an issue for me as we should be focused on inclusion to all locations. I did discuss this with the lady on the desk, and she explained it was due to not being granted permission from the council for a lift! The council should feel ashamed of themselves.

The atmosphere was amazing. The decor and vibes were divine. The service was ok for me, however my friend commented that it could have been more welcoming. Will definitely be coming back

Attended on Saturday for a birthday , atmosphere was great, beautiful restaurant and front of house were lovely . Our waitress didn’t seem very interested or like she wanted to be there . We were sat and not even a hello she just put the menus down and walked away. Food overall, overpriced with no real flavour. My friends lamb was nice but my Turkish dish lacked flavour and so did the bulgar .

Every was amazing, staff were very accommodating. Food was great! Would recommend.

Food was amazing, the ambience and the views from the rooftop restaurant are fabulous. Waiters were very friendly and accommodating, made sure to check on us plenty of times and were exceptional. The place is kid friendly and even has high chairs available.

Recientemente usé el espacio privado de alquiler en Tarshish para mi cumpleaños; ¡qué montaña rusa! TLDR: Doble me reservó retrasando mi preparación, retrospectivamente agregó £ 300 alquiler de habitaciones a la reserva que exigieron de la nada en la noche y luego regaló bebidas gratis a mis huéspedes y luego me cobró por no cumplir con el gasto mínimo de bebidas; la altura del engaño. Pregunté sobre mis fechas y luego hice la visita del sur al norte de Londres para ver (junto con muchos otros lugares) y me dijeron que era un menú fijo de £ 45 por persona (inc cargo por servicio pagado en efectivo en la noche) y mínimo £ 25 bebidas gastadas. Sabía que mis invitados no harían el gasto completo, ya que había muchos no bebedores, así que decidí que estaba dispuesto a hacer la diferencia. Me advirtieron si decidí seguir adelante, tenía que volver en persona para dar un depósito en efectivo de £ 500 para asegurar la habitación. Por muy inconveniente que fuera, hice precisamente eso y me dijeron que firmara un ‘formulario’ en papel que tienen donde escriben todos los detalles sobre la reserva en él y me hacen firmar y se quedan con esto; sin copia para mí, sin correo electrónico con detalles, solo correo electrónico automático diciendo, tienes una reserva, etc. Ya me sentía dudoso, pero debido a muchas críticas, seguí adelante. Me llamaron esa misma noche diciéndome que se habían perdido que la habitación ya estaba reservada e intentarían hablar con la otra parte. ¡El estrés! Luego volví a llamar día tras día durante aproximadamente una semana con ellos diciendo que estaban tratando de contactar a esta persona, así que estaba perdiendo el tiempo yendo y viniendo en busca de lugares de respaldo que perdieron preciosos días de planificación y envío de mis invitaciones. Después de una semana finalmente consiguieron que la otra persona confirmara que no quería la habitación para que pudiera apresurarme a ordenar todo lo demás ahora que tenía un lugar confirmado. En la noche, mi maquillador tenía 1 año. 5 horas tarde, lo que me hizo llegar tarde, que ya era molesto. Le preguntamos a Onur, ¿qué es este alquiler de habitaciones de £ 300 y él dijo “saque la foto que tiene en su teléfono del contrato”, sabiendo muy bien que no tenía copia o imagen del contrato. Luego le mostró a mi hermano (quien vino conmigo en la visualización) un contrato donde habían escrito prominentemente en la pluma la tarifa de alquiler de £ 300 que no estaba allí cuando lo firmé. Enfermo. Luego dijo, bueno, iba a renunciar a su gasto de bebidas restantes y le cobrará £ 150 ph por más tiempo en la habitación, así que solo pagar las bebidas gastadas en su lugar, que yo solo habría hecho desde el principio de todos modos (y el cargo por servicio estaba incluido, pero se muestra por separado). Pagué 372 libras adicionales. Después del evento al menos 3 personas separadas me dijeron que les dieron bebidas gratis en la noche, incluidos cócteles, quién sabe cuántos más. Y aun así me cobraron dinero extra por bebidas que sabían que habían regalado. Beware! Lots of stairs to get to the roof so be ready for the challenge bower it is totally worth it on a sunny day with a breeze. Beautifully presented food with friendly staff. We had mixed cold meze, Adana, chicken Shish and Chop shish with bulgur, latte and sprite. Totally of £105 (3 people) All food had a little kick to it and it was very authentic. Salad wasn’t the regular thing you would see on tables but it’s nice to have something new. Atmosphere was absolutely stunning but the toilets were missing toilet paper and even after letting staff member know there was no refill. We didn’t have reservation but we were welcomed in. It’s a beautiful place perfect for celebration or just to enjoy great meal. Thank you team, we will be back for more!

Tarshish restaurant offers a dining experience that is, overall, quite average. The menu features a range of Mediterranean dishes, but nothing particularly stands out as exceptional. The flavors are decent but lack the wow factor that makes a meal memorable. The ambiance is pleasant enough, though the decor feels somewhat dated and uninspired. Service is adequate, though it can be slow at times, and the staff, while friendly, seem a bit inattentive. Prices are reasonable, but given the quality of the food and service, you might feel like you're not getting the best value for your money. It's not a bad choice if you're in the area, but there are definitely better options out there.

Had a big group dinner and the service was great. Ordered a fish and it was very soft and tasted amazing!

I’ve been here before. Reason for 4 stars is because of its location. It isn’t the greatest if I’m honest, although they have their own car park situated 2 mins away. The views from the top aren’t the best. It’s located at a crossroad junction. I went during the evening on a weekday, and the atmosphere was nil, but I suppose it’s because it was midweek. Nevertheless, the presentation of the food was good, and so was the taste. I personally wouldn’t go there for a special occasion, but it’s defo worth a visit. It’s not a high end place, and nor is it a place where you can spontaneously just rock up hoping for a bargain. Maybe for someone’s not so special birthday? Not sure, but the food was good, just to reiterate.

Spicy Bao buns are quite nice and cost 10£ for two. The mains are around 23£ which I don't think is worth it because portion is small and quality isn't great. Doesn't taste like authentic Turkish cuisine however the bulgar is decent Cocktails aren't worth 13£ - wouldn't bother External beer prices 8£ and they don't have draft only bottles Their shisha is decent and decor looks lovely.

First time going and was disappointed in my starter. It honestly was very hard and almost cracked my tooth. The main was sensational, I really enjoyed my truffle Mac and cheese on the side with my sea bass. The rice is also very good. All in all the starter let me down so bad but the rest was great My partner really enjoyed his lamb chops and truffle potatoes

We went to Tarshish on a Thursday night without booking and it was perfectly fine. They let us in. The place was almost empty but regardless with did enjoy it because we had all the attention. The waiter there was amazing! One of the best waiter I've ever seen. Anyway the decor of the place is quite flashy so you may or may not like it, but still clean, glamorous and good atmosphere. Looking at the menu you realise that prices are same as in central London but here we are in zone 3 so a bit of a let down. The food is then amazing. Good portion and presentation. We had one main each and cold meze with not drink and we spent less then 50£ each which is a lot even if portions are big! I did not love the salad, with the apple, but the rest was absolutely amazing.

Stunning atmosphere, intimate environment with red lightening, rooftop views, perfect date spot. Service was quick, and the food was lovely. We had a selection of most the dishes and couldn’t fault anything. Would definitely return back soon, parking a little difficult due to location but was worth the visit
