Never again. I used to go very often but not any more. Food are tasteless;price is doubled but portions halved. Absolute disgrace. Sorry capital I will never come again.

Great restaurant. I can confirm that the kitchen staff have been in that kitchen for over 15 years. That tells me a lot about this business. Quality of food is unbeatable, even better than some of the posh ones around the city. Not great parking options

we went on Saturday night for dinner, there were few tables there weren't many people.. the eating is no longer like it used to be.. the service is quite horrible, they give you food as if to make you go away, they don't respect the starters, they bring the main courses immediately, very careless, they are not professional, I will never return to this place again. They need more training as they not professional.

The food was 10/10! I had the chicken shish with yogurt and was delicious!!! The Atmosphere upstairs was lovely, very cozy and warm :) Really good service, attentive and kind, we will definitely come back!

Can you please start making proper lentil soup? It’s watery and barely has any taste. Don’t be greedy and try to sell water like soup. It’s not cheap. Also the salad that comes with it also has strange taste it’s like they cut anything and put inside the salad, cheap produce too

I ordered soup, even though it was sealed it got spilled all in the box and carrier bag. Half of it gone…..not happy at all!!! ☹️

Great food, great business and lovely staff

I recently visited Capital Restaurant in Wood Green, and it was a delightful experience! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Their outdoor seating area is a bonus on a nice day. What truly stood out, though, was the food! I highly recommend trying the Haka – it's tender, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. The Gulesh was another highlight, rich and hearty, with the spices balanced beautifully. And if you're a fan of chicken dishes, the Aikan is a must-try – succulent and bursting with flavor. From the excellent service to the fresh ingredients and authentic taste, Capital Restaurant has easily become one of my go-to spots in London for Turkish cuisine!

Invited to lunch by an old friend and Capital was suggested as a place that had quiet corners upstairs where we could chat without muzac or chatter . . . It was perfect for our purpose, helpful, polite and smiling staff, excellent food and drinks and the promised quiet corner. We ate, drank and chatted steadily for over two hours with attentive but not intrusive service and no pressure to go though well into the afternoon.

Old friend and I wanted a quiet corner for a very long lunch to catch up . . . We spent most of the lunchtime and afternoon enjoying good service, good food and each other's company. The mezes are greatly recommended as are the vegetarian options. Salads are good, not the cheap flavourless stuff many places use!

My first time to eat in here and I'm so impressed with everything, not to mention the best quality of food and very polite services given by the crews. The place is so clean and descent that good to bring guest and friends in there. Also, the food budget is so reasonable as you have free starters and free desert after ordering the main dish. Highly recommended.

Even though we came in near closing time, all the staff offered an excellent service by genuinely caring for our experience and happy to find the best food to our taste. It was refreshing to be greeted and attended by such caring people! The mixed shish was seasoned amazingly and was heaven with the fresh yogurt. Leaving the restaurant with the complimentary cake and tea was the perfect way to end the night. Total bill was £70 for three people.

I went here on 18th for the first time, and whilst the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant cannot be faulted, the service from the handful of waiters and waitresses was lacking whenever my friend and I were about to request drinks. I cannot understand why when the restaurant was moderately busy.

Nice atmosphere,plenty table/chairs,clean inside and outside. Service good,starter and salad tasty,the stew was good,also the given us the complimentary cake,I think is semolina cake and tea. Nice location if you go for shopping in Wood Green.👍

The meat doner although it was ok wasn’t as good as expected. There are better ones you can easily find in London. But if you're around and hungry, it's alright.

I took out a pita sandwich and it was very filling and delicious for just under 6 pounds! This is a store that I would definitely like to use again.

Prices were too high while the food was not as delicious as it could be .

Me and my family come to this place at least 5 times a year, we celebrate alot of our birthdays or occasions at this place. The food is delicious and great value for money. Their service is always great. There hasn't been a time we've been disappointed with this place, they are always consistent with their food and service.

Great food and service, only let down by other customers who started smoking next to us in the outdoors seating area. Unfortunately their smoke, by the wind, literally kept getting blown into my face. Not the first time we've been seated next to smokers, perhaps section outdoor seats for smokers and non-smokers. The outdoor seating area is an L shape following the sides of the building, hide the smokers round the otherside near the library 😀, thus also benefitting new customers not having to walk through a mist of smoke when walking towards your door.

Restaurant has improved immensely but some staff dont know about good service requirements. Food was great, lots of staffing around, drinks sold not cold but plenty of ice which i dont like because it dilute the drinks you have asked for! Overall very good

I would give this place 5 stars for eating in which I have done on many occasions. Just do not get a delivery! The “salad” was just red cabbage & way too much onion, I didn’t receive any couscous as advertised but just gloopy over salted rice! The meats in my mixed shish were ok but borderline over cooked, especially the chicken. I will go back & eat in but not order a delivery again!

I have been coming to this establishment with my family for many years now and it is the benchmark against which I judge other Turkish restaurants.

Recommend! The best Turkish food!

Disappointed in the quality and taste of the food. Rice and couscous overcooked (mashy texture) and super greasy, the meet was too dry, and no yogurt for one of the orders, that usually comes with it. No drink for the kids menu or anything complimentary for an order of over £100…

They forgot my Lamb Doner Roll and I asked for Lamb Guvec and Fasulye. They gave me Chicken Stew. Extremely disappointed in their lack of attention.

There was a party upstairs and the bass from the music made not only a very loud noise but also made the metal surface fixtures vibrate. No apology when we asked what it was. Our food had just arrived otherwise would have left. Onions in salad tasted off to both of us so we couldn’t eat it - waitress said we weren’t first to complain, that they were trialling a new way of slicing them that made them taste not very nice! To top it off gents toilets were unusable with vomit on toilet seat and in a general state of chaos. All in all a bad experience.

For me and my husband was the worst experience ever. We went for lunch and after 6 hours we start having severe vomiting . We have been in hospital for 2 nights as we had food poisoning. Iam currently pregnant and it was such a terrible experience being so sick and the having the fear that the baby may be harmed from the food poisoning. We will never come back. Please check the food before serving to the costumers as you may put in risk their lives. I don’t think anybody wants to experience what me and my husband went through this 2 days.

They got adana kebab, when i saw IT on the menu IT was a no-brainer.

Myself and my husband went to Capital Restaurant. We sat outside where we wasn't disturbed by passers by as its fenced off. I had the seafood casserole and its one of the best dishes I have ever had, I've never even seen anything like this abroad. I definitely recommend it. My husband had the ribs and loved them. Don't fill up on the bread and dips beforehand. I can't wait to go back there. Staff were nice and friendly.

Town centre location. Short walk from wood green tube. Delicious food, excellent service. Tables inside and outside.

Stopped here for an impromptu dinner - highlight was the liver starter, very well made. Chicken and lamb kebabs were excellent value and succulent too. One downside is the cleanliness of the toilets, should be checked more frequently during a busy service if possible!

Service is ok, I’m a regular guest, and sometimes the service is not even good, it’s “ok”. Other times, you just don’t get a good service. Yesterday I have been there, sat on the second floor by the window, and there was a Turkish couple beside my table. I have noticed that the lady didn’t eat the cuscuz, and was very upset, but as I don’t speak Turkish I couldn’t understand. When I got home I understood why: I had a food poisoning, and throw up everything as soon as I got home. Sometimes feels like they are doing a favour for you, when serving you. That’s the first time I feel unwell when eating there, but still.

Great food at affordable prices, our main came with pitta and dips for the table!!! Huge portions, you will leave full for certain. One of my favourite places for consistently good food in London!!

I went this evening for two kebab and the bread it is different and not very stuffed, the staff are always so stressed and nervous. Who was served me it was upset just because I told him salad and not lettuce, so it is salad ,one is mix whit tomatoes and one is plain , I didn't take the mix one, because the staff in the till was make wet is finger in the salad and close the bag for the delivery, worry more for the cleaning and for costumers service , sometime is nice to smile!!

Such a disgrace. Your order was delivered within 10 minutes, but we waited for 1 hour and it still did not arrive. I was embarrassed by my guests and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

The food is really delicious. I have ordered chicken shish and it was very tasty. The one I didn’t like was the atmosphere. It was really so noisy. Is it because of architecture or something else but with people voices, music, workers are talking with each other so noisy.

All Turkish restaurants are cheating with the food, chicken wings are half of half the size of a normal chicken wing size!!.. Overpriced and cheating on the portion sizes. They are only making a huge amount of profit ONLY! They shouldn't treat and cheat on customers! Highly not recommended, and beware if anyone goes to any Turkish restaurants in woodgreen.

Couscous was very wet and mushy, I’ve never left couscous on my plate before, I was told the reason is because it was just made. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me
