Authentic Italian cuisine at is best,friendly knowledgeable owner/staff nice ambience what more can you ask we definitely will be back very soon.

Due to personal circumstances not been for a while. We were given such a warm and friendly welcome. Staff are so attentive, service and food AMAZING. Really good Atmosphere. Won’t be leaving it so long before we visit again see you in a couple weeks guys.

The service was on point, food delicious, and cocktails a delight. Booking was straight forward and I liked that you could select the type of seating that suits you best. We were seated upstairs and it was comfy, modern and fresh. The menu has lots of choices, but without it being overwhelming, it was nice to try a few new things, knowing it was all going to a tasty and well-made. The staff are so polite, helpful, and welcoming - I can't believe we haven't been here not often.

We visited last on Thursday 19th March 2020 just before lockdown. We are missing this place & all the staff so much. We are dreaming of our favourites Halloumi Cheese, Polenta Chips, Gambas Pil Pil, Batteted COD, spicy chicken skewers. All washed down with A glass of Red & White Wine. Salted caramel ice cream & Baileys Latte to finish off. Cannot wait until You finally reopen again

We've just had a takeaway (Sat) as due to the Pandemic we couldn't visit in person. As always the food was amazing and we look forward to visiting again once all this is over with. The pizza parma is stunning, and you have to have a French 75 cocktail. All our friends and family love Tappino's. Pino and the staff are great and we can't wait to see you again once you reopen, best of luck at this time <3 x

Had a fabulous take away from tappinos last night. We ordered 15 dishes between 5 of us and each and every dish was delicious. Looking forward to the day we can eat in the restaurant again but in the meantime the take away service is fabulous.

Had a lovely meal as a takeaway while restaurants can't open. All beautifully presented despite being in takeaway boxes. Nice thought to menu or which ones will do well at home. Suggest popping some dishes that you'll eat towards end of meal in oven to keep warm while you eat your starters. Ragu aranichi was beautiful and the polenta chips just as good at home as they are in restaurant

Due to the current and sad circumstances we had to cancel our table at Tappinos this weekend. They then offered a takeaway service which we jumped at! The food was perfect and even the presentation in takeaway tubs was great! The staff are so friendly and they even have pasta etc that you can buy from them if you are struggling in the shops!

My husband is unable to go out for a meal as he has cancer and is starting chemo and radiotherapy next week so he has to self isolate. due to my husband's ill health we have not visited Tappinos for a while so we were delighted to see on facebook that Tappinos are now doing a takeaway service and we placed an order straight away the food was ready in 20 mins and the food was fantastic. hot, fresh, tasty and delicious and great Value for money will definitely be ordering again Thank you Pino great idea to do takeaway service in these trying and difficult times you really put a smile on micks face it has really cheered him up.

Our first time to Tappino’s this evening. We booked very late so just had a space at the bar. Lovely atmosphere, great service, delicious food. Will I go back? Regularly I think, from now on.

We haven’t been here for a little while and I have to say it was an even better the meal than the last time we came, which was fabulous. The food and choices were excellent and the service was great. We could have stayed all evening. I absolutely love upstairs so would highly recommend a table upstairs.

My experience with tapas is by the time you’re full, you’ve worked through several dishes and spent a fortune. We were celebrating my daughters’ 21st, there were 11 of us (one more than I’d booked for!) we all started with three dishes & only two felt they wanted more. The portions were great, the food was just stunning and the service was great. The price was reasonable too. It was the first visit for all of us, I think we’ll all be going back! I booked in advanced and received a courtesy call, the whole experience was great.

Best tapas restaurant for miles. They were really busy. It’s smallish so just be patient. It’s well worth the wait. Thank you for a great evening of vibe and quality good.

First time visitors for the husband’s birthday and it most definitely did not disappoint! Although they were very busy, the food was fantastic. Fresh, tasty, piping hot and very reasonably priced we thought! Some other reviewers have mentioned it being pricey but in our opinion it was no more expensive than any other tapas restaurant and the portions were more than ample!

We arrived having booked a table. We didn’t realise that we would be seated at the bar. It was ok but not overly comfortable to sit on a stool all night and when the door opened it was breezy

Went here for the first time for valentines. Very welcoming staff, nice cosy settings. Food was fantastic too and reasonably priced. Would recommend.

What a beautiful place to try a combination of Italian cuisine in the style of Tapas. An excellent restaurant, with great service and a good menu. If you haven't been yet then I would highly recommend it!

Group of 6 adults went on Saturday night and the food was so tasty, with lots of choice. Even some extra 'Specials' that weren't listed on the specials board. The service was great too (attentive and friendly) and the place has a really good vibe.

We visited on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, on both occasions the place was buzzing with a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and we tried a couple of new things from the specials board including the Octopus which was superb. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We have never had a bad meal and are so lucky to have this restaurant in Cleckheaton. Highly recommended.

I have to say the food was great but the drinks are very very expensive. We had 2 pint of lager and 2 gins and it cost £27, found the gin was £8.00 a glass a massive rip off which ruined what was a nice evening will not visit again nobody likes to be ripped off.

My favourite place to go with my family. Never had a bad experience in the several years I've been going there. The food is exquisite, the wine is incredible and the staff are amazing. You must try this restaurant!!

First time visit to this wonderful restaurant which exceeded all expectations. The host spent time with us initially to ensure that we understood all our options and the service was excellent for the remainder of the evening. Great food followed with the 4 of us choosing 3 dishes each of which tasted amazing. However, it was the atmosphere of the restaurant that made the evening so special. There was a tremendous buzz about the place that complimented the food and added to our enjoyment. This first time visit will definitely turn into more visits in the coming months.

Our son lives not far from here and we needed somewhere to take our grandsons as their house was being decorated. So we booked a 5.00pm table but were a bit early getting there.This didn't cause a problem as the attentive waiting staff took our order. We all had pizzas and the boys really enjoyed their individual choices. My wife who's vegetarian, had mistakenly ordered a pizza with meat which she only realised once it had been served. This wasn't a problem and her pizza was quickly replaced. Boys being boys, had an ice cream dessert which they quickly devoured. I must also mention the decor which my wife thought had a very attractive theme. As we payed the bill, I was able to practice my poor Italian language skills with the waitress who'd been so friendly throughout. Such an enjoyable early evening!

Been to Tappinos a few times now and each occasion its been a brilliant visit. Pino is a great host and his staff do him proud when he's not around. Whilst you may pay a little more than other places in Cleckheaton (most plates tend to be between £4-7) the quality of the food is great and very good value.

Food was amazing, simply delicious especially the scallop & prawn ravioli. The staff were really friendly, smiley and attentive. Would absolutely recommend this tapas restaurant.

I visited with my 72 year old mother and her friend. The food was absolutely first class and described by my mother as ‘the best tapas she’d ever had!’ Great variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and a lovely atmosphere too. We’ll be back soon for sure!

What a lovely hidden gem in Yorkshire! Superb food, superb service, very welcoming and lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend. We went with the recommendations of the tapas based on our likes and dislikes, did not disappoint! Excellent value for money, good quality excedllent food, well worth a visit!

Not being a tapas kind of person probably because I had not been to a high end establishment which provided the menu and quality of food on offer here I would highly recommend this to anyone without exception helped us out with food intolerance issues everything was excellent for us and we have booked to revisit in the near future

Never had tapas before so was slightly nervous we picked 6 meals with a nice bottle of wine it was beautiful we will be visiting again, staff were excellent but then we know some from Aldo’s and they were always nice & friendly so nothing changed lovely surroundings too 4*

I visited Tappinos last night with a friend and I could not believe how busy it was on a Wednesday evening ! As soon as I stepped through the door, the atmosphere was great and I was made to feel very welcome by the staff. The menu is extensive and the food is first class. The staff are friendly, efficient and attentive. Pino, the owner, has done an amazing job of making the restaurant an outstanding place to eat with beautiful decor - cosy, initmate and fun all at the same time. Heartily recommended - you will have a great time !

Went here to celebrate a friends ruby wedding. They are big enough to take the party but still small enough that everyone can mingle to chat without everyone dissappearing off to sit in groups round a table. The food was great, lots of variation and it just kept coming. Some interesting drinks behind the bar too.

Food was extremely tasty and well made, I thought it was slightly overpriced looking at the menu, but it only cost £23 each for 3 ciders and 9 dishes and we were full at the end! Staff are really friendly and it has a good atmosphere. Can't wait to go again!

We've known Pino for years and just love this little place. Wonderful atmosphere, superb food and friendly staff. Very well priced and we are always looked after. You need to book in advance for weekends as always busy and not that many covers. Recommended

We booked last min and happily sat at the bar to eat. We ordered 6 tapas which was just enough for our hearty appetite. All the dishes were beautifully presented and bursting with flavour, our favourite was the chorizo lollipops. Outstanding.

What a GEM of a place. Firstly, the staff are warm and so welcoming, authentic Italian.

Pre booked table for our anniversary celebration with friends . Arrived for 8pm and had a drink at bar as table was prepared . The place was buzzing !! We had the most amazing food ! Every dish was a new experience -even the Pizzetti had wonderful toppings . Pino suggested the Pizza Nera - a charcoal based crust with mortadella ,truffles and pistachio crumbs ! What a delight !

We had a fabulous meal last night. Ambiance was relaxed and friendly. But the food is the star here. We had 6 dishes and they were all beautifully cooked and delicious. Stand out dishes are the baccala and the arancini. Just managed to squeeze in a pud to share.

Had a very nice meal with my wife and daughter. We booked late but managed to get a table for 3 at 6pm. Sat near the kitchen. A little dark and difficult to read the menu. Excellent atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food was served quickly and was very tasty. The marinated chicken had an excellent chilli kick. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend.

Myself and wife visited early on a Saturday night the place was busy we were seated drinks were ordered and food was chosen and we didn’t have to wait long the food arrived all very nice specially mention the Pizza roll is my favourite the staff are very attentive but not intrusive Pino the owner keeps an eye on things this is now one of our firm favourite places to eat when in Cleckheaton

From walking through the door i instantly liked the cosy rustic feel of tappinos. We sat on a table directly across from the bar and were seen to quickly. To sum things up the food we ordered was very good and came in good varying times. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice intimate evening.

Our Nth visit Still very high quality food with a great atmosphere. If you don’t over eat please try the deserts- ice cream salted caramel & canolo siciliano are wonderful. Still the best

Went here with my son and family for his birthday. Food was awesome and the portions are very generous for tapas! Staff are friendly and attentive. If you have not been here it’s one of the nicest tapas places I have been to. Give it a go you will not be disappointed.

Tappino's is great restaurant because of their food. Because, I am really busy and I am not used to eat in restaurants at all. But, I was there last year with my friend and her daughter and I loved it. I have had a feeling like that I came to Italy. Not just because of that staff are communicating mostly on Italian. It's all that together; food, language, friendly staff ( like a family), proper Italian restaurant. Somehow, that's normal to expect, the owner is from Italy. My born country is Croatia, maybe that's why I like it so much. We are really similar, even with the food, some parts of Croatia ( Mediterrane) their specialty food is Italian food.

Wow, what a delicious experience of Italian food in a tapas style. It is so nice when you love Italian food and fancy multiple dishes as you can have them all! The service is prompt and engaging and the ambience is vibrant and fun. Everything we tried was delicious and very authentic. It wasn’t the cheapest however, we did try a large amount of dishes! But no regrets although we wouldn’t order the deep fried olives again as not our favourites! My only point I would raise for the owners is I feel the dessert board should have some pricing - we again got carried away with ordering and were quite surprised how much we ‘blindly’ spent there!

Unbelievably rude staff. Booked a table for 11, was advised on arrival this was two tables. Not only insisted on charging us a fee (£110) to cancel, but we’re profoundly rude about it. Would give zero if possible.

Visited 24 July about 5.30pm no one in the restaurant, only two of us. Asked for table for two. We were shown to what looked like a breakfast bar with two high stools. I asked if we could have a "normal table" baring in mind the place was empty and was told the tables were booked. During all the time we were in the restaurant only one group of other people came in, we could easily had one the tables. The high tables and stools are not suitable for young children or older people. The waiting staff were barely polite it's a place I will not visit again.

Visiting from Australia, we were recommended Tappinos by family and were not disappointed. Delicious food and fantastic service. Will be back next time we are in the country.

When your other favourite Italian restaurant is in St Lucia it’s great to be able to walk to the other! With a choice of dishes not found in formula restaurants, engaging staff and a atmosphere found in bustling restaurants on recent trips to Venice & Florence. It’s no wonder Pino and the team are where they belong.

I visited Tappinos last week. The tapas is very tasty, varied and the portions are really decent. It felt like being on holiday! Excellent service and a great selection of drinks. I will be visiting again and would recommend to anyone. A little slice of the Mediterranean in Yorkshire.

Fabulous food and friendly staff helped to round my birthday off in style. We had 3 tapas each making sure we had a range of different foods so as to try as much as possible- all portions were generous and delivered hot. Dessert was delicious! Would highly recommend eating here- we’ll certainly be returning soon.

Another 5* visit to Tappinos. This time as a group of 8. Previously I have been several times as a couple & group of 3 or 4 ladies. It was good to see that they can cater just as well for a larger group.

Once again a faultless visit to one of our favourite restaurants. The staff do their upmost to make you feel welcome and the service is always spot on!

Went for Saturday lunch with my husband. Great tapas place, small but cosy and original design. We had 4 tapas in total which was plenty for us, but if you like big portions than maybe go for more (we get full quickly). We had Bruschetta and Skewer lambs from the specials and pizza parma with fried cod from the main menu. Everything was delicious, especially the mashed potatos with lamb, there was mint in the mash which was very delicious surprise. Highly recommend!!!

Decor and ambiance is fab! staff are so friendly and the food is amazing! Best tapas iv had, Love the cocktails too!!! 😁
