Tapeo Cafe & Tapas in Bromley

The food was tasteless, we had calamari, pork and gambus. It was awful, for the price you may as well try other restaurants on the road...never again... Yuck

Everything was absolutely amazing, from the food to the service! I highly recommend this place for authentic and delicious Spanish tapas!

Great food and service as always

The place was packed, there was a nice atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. The sangria was lovely but overpriced at £22 for what is essentially 3 glasses. I went because the people rave about the food on here but I found it very hit and miss. The gambas tasted burnt, like the sauce had burnt. The scallops tasted fishy, no one at the table could eat them. However, the costillas (ribs) were lovely, the salmon and the croquettes were very nice. The food is reasonably priced and came out quick. We had a lovely evening but I don’t think I’d go there again

I like this tapas bar and the staff were amazing. Me and a colleague came to talk business over dinner. The restaurant was very busy and the food came quickly. I personally think there are too many tables and all to close together. Some of the dishes were amazing such as the prawns. The steak was cold although cooked to perfection. The onions served with the scallops are definitely my favourite part however the scallops could have been cooked a bit longer. I really like this restaurant and its staff and the drinks were 10/10 however I don’t think I would return. That is my personal preference and others may disagree.

Absolutely brilliant. Totally exceeded expectations. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The price was not terrible either. The house white wine left something to be desired. The sangria was lovely. Friendly staff and good service. Can't wait to go back.

Very very Poor - Such a shame, went here a few years ago & enjoyed it and decided to go back recently for a special occasion. Ordered 6 dishes, which turned up in 3-5 mins, ribs sat on a tough bit of old mash, 5 ribs together (short) + 1 longer and separate? Tough and not enjoyable, the pulled lamb was flat, and the side compliment was part soft part crisp, patatas bravas had no colour / barely par boiled, and felt sour cream was thrown on dishes to add some flavour / lubricant. ?? Was asked mid eating if we wanted more, we said no, before we were finished the staff were in their coats waiting to leave at 9pm watching us from a booth within the restaurant, no attention to the table during service apart from (can we close the kitchen…) and were the last ones there at 9:15pm. Had 1 beer with dinner, if I had ordered a bottle of wine I’d have half expected to be walking home with half a bottle - felt un welcome or even like we had time to enjoy a poor / left over / reheated dinner. Wanted to speak to staff about the poor quality of food but was handed the bill so quickly decided better to leave and go home. Not even asked if we wanted desert - Its hard to entertain a birthday on the 2nd Jan but quite honestly they should not have opened up if that was the effort to shift what hadn’t sold the day(s) before …. If the restaurant want to contact me please do- I don’t often leave reviews / and I’m not a serial complainer / blogger, but for us, as a couple to spend this amount of money and arrange a baby sitter for an occasion this was a big big let down.

Have been so many times and it is by far my favourite tapas. The pork belly is my favourite & the brocolli salad

1st time coming here.. definitely be back 👍food was delicious and plenty to choose from. Staff were excellent and very welcoming. Reasonably priced. Worth a try if you love your tapas!

The food is good but it's not tapas as we know it. Food comes cold and waitresses can be argumentative and negative. Not bad for a snack

Took a friend for a birthday treat (we've before a couple of times and loved it). Good range of tapas, grouped clearly, and all really nice. Started with mixed sharing board; then about three dishes each, which was plenty. Went away stuffed. Very pleasant staff and nice, comfortable venue.

To be honest, I really love this place. Cozy and everything, the tapas selections are great. Right now, it's my second visit already! Recommend.

First time coming here last night. The food was lovely. When booking, I never got told I only had the table for two hours. Was planning to make a night of it in there. All the food was lovely. The only two dispointing things were. I ordered chicken. You only got one skewer for 7.95. The only other thing was limited time on the table. Should have been told, apart from that everything and everyone was lovely that's why I left 5 stars. Xx

Just visited Tapeo on friday evening. Great atmosphere the food however was very average and lacked flavours. Perhaps its what i ordered (chorizo was great, mushroom croq and gambas were ok (small portions overall apart from the beef tapa). The paella was bland and the lamb that i was really looking forward to was a let down, completely lacked flavour). I would probably visit again as the service was quick and ambience was good, perhaps try the specials . The reason for the 3 stars on service was no one checked in on the food, whilst taking the plates away, the 80% of the lamb was left over but no one bothered asking why that was the case. For me that is the difference betwen a 5 star rating and an average so hopefully they take the feedback on board. The servers were very polite and friendly just to be clear.

Reasonable food. Too much ice in sangria. Missing ingredient in dishes. No apology for missing items. Service very average. No revisit required

The servers were helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was nothing to be excited about but considering it was a Sunday it’s expected. The food was ridiculous, the calamari was bouncy and flavourless, the batter fell off before I could even eat it. The pulled lamb tasted and looked like canned beef from the shop, again bland and the texture was horrible. The olives and mocktails are pretty much the only thing that saved it. Waste of £35 for a small amount of food that tasted disgusting!

I've eaten here a couple of times now and found it excellent every time. We ordered a variety of dishes and all of them were really tasty. I think it is good value too. Highly recommended

I visited Tapeo last night for a friend's birthday. By far, the best tapas restaurant in the whole of South London. Good portions, quick service and fair prices. 10/10 👌👍💕

Well, to be honest, this is the most horrible food I have ever eaten in my entire life. The mashed potatoes were so disgusting because they weren't mashed potatoes at all. Bread with tomato, it doesn't have onion, and the pork ribs in barbecue sauce taste like Lidl, Octopus with mashed potatoes, please don't use smoked paprika!!! The food tastes a lot like galec, the mashed potatoes are poorly made, please do not prepare it in a blender, the brava sauce is not the real one, a lot of black pepper is super bad. The food is actually very bad.

We love this restaurant- the people serving / manager - wonderful! Love the salmon and vegetarian dishes eg spinach special. Over the last few times however the scallops have got smaller and smaller and are expensive. I mentioned this and received some lovely plump ones - it wld be good to receive these going forwards! Wine and ambience is super

One of my favourite places to eat in Beckenham. The restaurant was extremely flexible and considerate when we were running late. Every dish was well presented, tasty and the service was first class 👌🏾 a beautiful gem in Beckenham

A lovely tapas bar in Beckenham. We enjoyed the Patatas Bravas, Paella (could have been a bigger portion), albondigas, + croquetas. Everything was delicious.

Friday evening and the place was buzzing. And can see why, food was great, there was lots of choice, but with a party of 6, we tried about 80% of the dishes on the menu, every dish was a winner and my son compared it to a tapas restaurant we went to in Madrid! The jug of sangrea went down really well too. Can't comment on the deserts as we were all too full! Maybe next time!

Visited Tapeo with a large group of work colleagues, thoroughly enjoyed the flavoursome and authentically Spanish food. There were 12 of us in the group and the staff were very attentive and hard working. If you've enjoyed a holiday to Spain and want to rekindle some memories Tapeo is the place.

Nice experience, well done dishes and proportionate prices, if you are hungry you have to take 3 courses. The desserts are also good. The only thing I object to is the ice in the sangria, otherwise everything is ok.

Cozy and clean place. The food is small in portions but good...I would have liked the paella tastier, the rice was bland. The octopus and almond dessert were good. We had taken a double espresso together with dessert but only dessert arrived so we told the girl we were still waiting for the espresso and in the end we paid for two...I realized it too late!🤷🏼‍♀️

Friendly and relaxed tapas bar where on a good day we've sat outside at the front - alas the weather this week was a little cooler and windy! Choice of dishes is good, comes out hot, tasty and very promptly each time we have visited! House red was everything we needed to go with this. Thanks

I used to live in Spain and I do miss tapas every once in while. I went to Tapeo after a recommendation from a friend and the food is absolutely excellent. The staff is always friendly and helpful as well. You can get the classic tapas (patatras bravas, pan con tomate etc) but the more researched ones are fantastic. I recommend the scallops and the octopus. Their house wine is also nice and generously poured. Really love this restaurant and I've already been 3 times...

Great selection of dishes. Food arrived very quickly and all of it was delicious. Stand outs were the chorizo in pumpkin puree, calamari and spare ribs. Cheesecake was lovely too - very rich and creamy.
