Tapaz Restaurant in Bolton

First time I have been here. It was a weekday so not as busy. Had excellent service from staff who were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was was just right as went with a friend for a well deserved catch-up so was able to talk and hear. The food choices were plenty and something for everyone and prices very reasonable, made good use of the wine and speciality coffee. We were not rushed and spent a very pleasant afternoon there. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

Food was very nice however 50% of the food we ordered wasn't available and then the plates, with food still on them, were removed while we were still eating. Very disappointing!

I can’t believe that I’ve never been to this restaurant before as I live in Bolton! It is quite simply the best place I have eaten for a long, long time. The food was exceptional - we had tapas and every dish was wonderful. The waitresses were friendly, attentive and very ‘smiley’ which makes a big difference to the atmosphere and to your enjoyment - they really want you to have a good experience. The dishes were served piping hot and all together. The house wine was good and reasonably priced too. The chefs can be seen preparing the dishes - everything runs smoothly and professionally. I am really impressed - we will definitely be making this a regular place to eat. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

What an amazing night. Celebrated a birthday here and we're treated so well. All the staff were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Daniella was amazing. The food was fantastic, there were over 20 of us and we all received our food together. We also enjoyed a few cocktails, they were made fresh and tasted so good. Diogo, the owner, kept checking in on us ensuring the night was going well, and it was. Thank you to all the staff for making a special birthday even more special!! See you again soon!!

The food tastied delicious and the staff were fantastic. They managed to find us a table although we hadn't booked and is was very busy.

Ate here this evening after the cinema. Pleasant surroundings, tasty food and great service. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and considered the prices very reasonable. Plan to visit again soon.

Came here last Saturday without a reservation and chanced it. The food and service was absolutely incredible! I will so be back and would definitely recommend anyone to try it at least once 🤤

Deliveroo driver avoid this restaurant as they will make you wait longer and you will get a ticket so it’s not worth for you!

Only a five minute walk from the Octagon, e really enjoyed this place. Particularly enjoyed the minted lamb skewer and the patatas pobres. House red wine was very pleasant, the prices were very reasonable and the Portugese/Spannish waiter was attentive and took time to chat whenever asked questions. One menu suggestion: It would be nice if the varied tapas menu also included dishes with frijoles y/o garbanzos.

Came in here last night for a couple of drinks with friends. Very friendly staff, so welcoming and attentive.

Absolutely stunning, from start to finish! We were we welcomed into a comfortable and warm atmosphere with contemporary music. Service was delayed but this was not an issue as we were accommodated and kept up to date by Daniella who took our impromptu arrival without booking. The food was excellently presented, hot and a world of flavour! The portions were more than adequate with a paella being suitable for 2 or 3 if sharing alongside the wide selection of tapas available. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a quiet evening with family and friends.

We waited 25 minutes till a staff member brought us our drinks and my partners drink was wrong. He ordered a Jd and he got ammereto. We ordered the £25 tapas deal which included bread for starter, three tapas dishes and desert. The bread tasted awful and at the end we never got the desert menu but we was glad as we wanted to leave as we hated the food and experience. When we ordered the food after around 15 minutes a family of around 10 came in and they got all there food before us and then another family of 4 came in and they got all there food before us. When our food finally came I got given only one of my tapas dishes and I had to wait 15 minutes to receive my 2 dishes. My partner ordered wings and the staff said there was only 2 wings left and the portion came in 6’s. It was only 8pm so they shouldn’t have ran out of wings. We decided to leave and the bill came to £92 and we gave £95 and the staff didn’t bring the £3 change over. The service was terrible and the food was awful. This is shocking especially with it being new year Eve and we both paid a £10 ticket fee on top of the night. We spend £115 for the worst night ever!

Great tasting authentic Spanish food

We attended between Christmas and new Year before a show at the Octagon Theatre. For this reason it was a little quiet in the resturant with only 3 groups present at the lunchtime period. The decor and seating were excellent and we received a warm welcome on arrival. The service throughout was 1st class and we thoroughly enjoyed our food choices particularly the ribs. We ordered from the lunchtime menu which was very good value for money and overall our experience was first class. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Thank you to all the staff for a very enjoyable visit.

Great local restaurant serving fresh little Mediterranean dishes. The Restaurant is clean and modern Service was friendly and efficient The food was we had was very good some not genuine authentic and the desserts are shop bought and aren't very good, ok for kids and we only had dew to a deal.

Lovely food and amazing service. We were the only party in there, but there was 16 of us and handled it perfectly. All food was hot when it was served and would definitely recommend.

First class food! No wonder you have to book in advance. We turned up 2 weeks before our visit, only to be told there was no tables available. Booked in advance for our second visit - we were not disappointed. Would definitely visit again 👍🏻

The order was mixed up I received the wrong item and the starters where for sharing with 2 people which is unhygienic as you had to share a dip. The reply from the manager when I asked about this was " that's how it is and it has been for the past 4 years !" This attitude is totally unacceptable. The table wasn't even ready when we arrived and we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. I will not return. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Nice food, friendly staff, comfortable surroundings. Have been a few times as working in area, window tables a little chilly as large bay glassed windows and in December evenings you can feel a coolness to the area. I personally don't like tomatoes or olives and despite my frequent requests omit them from the salad dishes, they still arrive with them on. I know it's no hassle to pick them out myself but why put them on in the first place? They're obviously placed ontop of the salad leaves and not mixed in. Just a small gripe but would recommend this place for food.

Horrible customer service. First they can’t find a table for us, then we was waiting 20 min to get our food ordered and then were told that need to wait another 40 min for food to arrive. Not what you expecting for a nice Saturday evening

What a great find! I always enjoy a tapas lunch, but more and more restaurants are only opening for evening dining. Tapaz is an exception. Warm welcome, great selection of dishes at competitive prices, well priced wines, warm and friendly staff, accomplished chefs. So good, I'm back again on Sunday!

Gem of a place in Bolton. We went for Saturday Lunch and had the Lunch special. This was ANY 3 Tapas items for £14.95. The servings are plentiful and we ordered 6 different ones and they were all delicious. Really pleased as often it’s a reduced menu choice for lunch specials but not here. The staff were lovely and the restaurant is a really nice place. Would definitely recommend And can’t wait to go again and try the other dishes on the menu… thank you.. a lovely lunch with my mum.

Living in the Mediterranean, it was a delightful surprise to find such a high quality Tapas restaurant right in the middle of Bolton. Portions were good, quality of food excellent and service top. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys great Tapas.

So lovely and accommodating! We booked a table for four at 8.45pm but couldn't get there until late. My son called to explain, the owner was lovely saying not to panic as they are open until 10pm. Then we couldn't find anywhere to park. Eventually we got there at 9.40pm and ordered five minutes later. We ordered 12 dishes and all were really fresh, delicious, and not a single tem was left. The waitress was fabulous, so attentive and hadxa lovely calmness about her demeanor. We drove from St Helens to try this restaurant and we are so glad we did. Many thanks to Tapaz staff for a wonderful meal!

Lovely tapas and the prosecco sangria was yum. We tried the Patatas bravas, pollo empanado (chicken with a mango chill jam - was so good!). Baked Camembert was a fantastic choice too. Also would really recommend the button mushrooms with blue cheese vegan sauce…I’m not even vegan and these hit the spot. We just went for lunch but I’d defo go back for a dinner time meal.

Popped in for lunch just as it opened so it wasn't busy. The waiter was friendly and took our orders quickly. The wait for the food seemed long however it is freshly cooked and came out nicely presented. The 3 tapas dishes were tasty and filling. Good value for money.

Fantastic place, best meal we've had in years.

Service and staff are great but the food was really not good. Things were overcooked and the taste was just not great apart from the goats cheese salad, which really isn't hard to get right. The portion sizes are large but it's not good having a large portion of something that doesn't taste good. The price of half a coke was £2.75 a total rip off and £5.50 a pint of beer. Won't be returning and won't be recommending.

Excellent food would go again and highly recommend they do lovely cocktails aswell as food and the waitress was also lovely who served us nice little spot in Bolton town centre it cost us nearly 80 for what we had and one drink each but we did go on a Saturday they have offers on in the week so if you didn't want to pay as much but want lovely food then I would recommend going on a week day . I did think it was worth the price we paid to be honest I didn't have one complaint

Absolutely appalled. Left hungry, food wasn't fresh (I'm vegan but my partner isn't and after eating the meat here he's now unwell) and they overcharge for a tiny plate. Paid almost 45 quid for the pleasure. MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR THE CHEEKY SERVICE CHARGE 10 PERCENT TO BE TAKEN OFF YOUR BILL GUYS! they say its optional but add it on anyway. My waitress huffed like a child when I asked it to be taken off, I'm not paying a fiver tip when I had poor service, poor management and I also had to ask for alcohol to be added to my nearly 9 quid espresso martini. I hope this place either changes or else moves on, because they don't admit to their mistakes and will con you out of money anyway they can. There is poor communication from staff as well. I understand language barriers are hard, but people need to order the correct food and drinks. I have uploaded a picture to show you what you get for 45 quid.
