Tao Chinese takeaway in North Lanarkshire

Staying at my son's tonight, he recommended Tao, Kung Po and curry, absolutely amazing. Glad we took his advice, fantastic flavour. 11 put of 10. JR.

lovely meal bit more expensive than other places but it shows in the quality of the food well recommended. delivery time was great even on a busy weekend. Good food will be ordering again

Best take away Chinese meal i have had for a long time.

Both dishes we ordered were very dry hardly any sauce added. We have ordered many times before and are regular customers. Food has never been dry like it was today. Called the restaurant and they said it was supposed to be like this as the food soaks up the sauce and the other dish doesn't have a lot of sauce, which every other time I've ordered it has always had much more sauce, and they were going to do nothing about it. Very poor customer service. Will not be ordering again.

Usually quality is 5*. However, chicken this time was soggy, not crispy. Tasted like it had been reheated chicken, with the chilli chucked in on top.

no chips given with the chicken maryland and chips ! otherwise ok

food was amazing have absolutely no issues with quality but did have an issue with delivery driver. was very cheeky and complained saying we should not be ordering from the take away, and not to bother again and asking how we got the number as they don’t deliver to our area? we expressed that they do as it was on just eat but was very rude and not necessary.

The chicken balls were very small some were half the size of a ‘normal’ one. Other than that it was all very nice.

This is our first time ordering from here for a family dinner. We were very impressed. The food arrived on time, it was hot, the portions were very good and everything was delicious. Unlike other places we’ve tried, there was a good number of vegetarian options!!!

This was the first time that I have ordered from Tao, this was a family birthday dinner so I was hoping that it would be good. I wasn’t disappointed everything was perfect. The delivery was on time, the driver was very pleasant, the food was hot and delicious, the portions were really good, unlike other places we’ve tried - they had a good selection of vegetarian options. I would definitely recommend this takeaway and I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Shredded salt and pepper chicken was a bit soggy - usually really good from here! Curry sauce was lumpy. Chips were fine but the veg spring rolls tasted like dishwater. Usually a good meal, let down tonight.

Order from here regularly however food wasn’t great this time, fried rice was really undercooked tasted more like boiled rice mixed meat chow mein wasn’t the best.

I can't recommend enough, always follow my instructions for no onions and extra spicy. The foods always hot as well and tastes delicious Amazing takeaway!

soup was watery , chilli for the chips was all at the 1 side and not over chips.

Chow Mein had onion in after asking for none, very dry and not very tasty.

Food was delicious, however both requests were ignored.

we eat out of this Chinese regularly however it definately wasn't great tonight. Chips were undercooked, rice and chicken balls were fresh and warm however curry sauce was cold.

I ordered half a duck and pancakes from a Chinese takeaway. The duck was really dry and some of it white..I wouldn't recommend the duck at all to anyone..maybe other dishes are different.i should have looked at the ratings first..never again. It was given to the dog

I've tried virtually all chinese locally, Tao is an excellent Chinese , the beef could be better but , their curry sauce is awesome , plus salt and chilli pork fried rice is awesome 4/5

Staying in a hotel. Driver just left my order with reception. Didn’t call me. I was sat in the bar waiting for it. Hotel called my room and of course I wasn’t there. Was pretty much cold by the time I got it! Food was average probably nice if hot!

Ordered chicken Cantonese style which was pictured as chicken in batter but what arrived was not the same didn’t even taste like it either. Curry was pretty bland and as for the ribs they were just lumps of fat and jelly. First time trying this place and the last.

wrong order delivered tried to call for an hour with no reply from 10pm till 11pm.

Got a Cantonese Style chicken dish, the pic for the meal shown a battered chicken with a sweet and sour sauce, so I expected that, got what appeared to be the spicy chicken pic the meal above. Called to let them know, initially the girl was trying to say that isn't the case - until she looked on JE. She said will get owner to call, and arrange a discount next meal, having problems with local mast so not getting calls and texts easily. Couldn't eat the meal I hate water chestnuts with a passion and the meal had lots of it. So will arrange refund for the meal. Shame usually great portion sizes and food from this place, hopefully they will fix that pic or add descriptions to the meals so you know what you are getting.

The sauce from the main dish was all over the inside of the bag and all over everything else which made the main dish dry. took an hour to arrive from when ordered. Maybe next time the delivery driver should take better care of the customers food delivery

Worst Chinese food and service ever I have received. Avoid it please.

I really love the salt and chilli chips from here and would definitely order them again. But the sweet and sour sauce is awful, like the worst I've ever tried. I actually can't even eat it at all. I really hope they change their recipe because there's not one good Chinese food place around here so I never eat it anymore. It would be nice to have at least 1 good one. But I probably won't order from here again.

Ordered food on just eat came at the perfect time ans food was piping hot the most deliciouse chinese food we have had yet. highly recommend

food arrived freezing, had to reheat everything. The driver delivered it to the wrong house so my neighbour who lives 4 doors down dropped it into me instead.

I got lunchtime Chicken fried rice with curry sauce. It cost £4.50. it was wonderful, it would definitely get again. They do some lunch time deals as well. Such chicken balls, shredded chicken and chips. They are all £4.50.

Usually the food from Tao is exceptionally good. I have left many 5 star reviews. Today though, it just wasn’t the same. We felt the sweet and sour and the crispy chicken were dry and “chewy”, not at all the normal high standard. Disappointed,

will not order from here ever again sent wrong order then get told on the phone by the member of staff that's not our problem when it is because I got food I didn't order if I could it wouldn't even get half a star stay away

Delivery was 45 minutes late, the food was stone cold and an item was missing.

You get to see the chefs cook you takeaway choice. Very well orginised and friendly staff.
