Tânvân in Ealing

Went to the restaurant today 25/10). The food was great, forgot the takeway, but returned in less than a minute, a member of staff said that he threw the food away, because I left the restaurante. Poor service, lack of initiative, could well come out of the door and called me. Thank you so much for your reply. I will do it.

Best Vietnamese I’ve had outside of Vietnam ! I’ve travelled a lot there but this was the best beef pho I’ve had and indeed struggled to have good Pho there too . Lovely staff and very attentive! Go now

Today we visited TânVân for the second time! The food was very tasty and the staff are very helpful. It feels authentic with a great story from a family run restaurant, bringing their heritage and food to Ealing. They are dog friendly, which was great for us when we visited first time with our Cockerpoo. I recommend the Bun Cha Hanoi, the summer rolls, and the sticky wings! The prawn crackers are cooked fresh so arrive to the table warm, which is lovely.

Lovely little spot. Had the lunchtime meal offer and a Vietnamese drip coffee and it was all very good. Lovely service too.

We ordered this as a delivery and the store hadn’t packaged it properly so it leaked everywhere. It wasn’t the delivery drivers fault as he showed us that they hadn’t packaged it properly, the leak came out the cling film and was all over the bag as a consequence this is all we had left in the picture. I called to complain and they refused to make another, unbelievably rubbish service, it’s the very least they could have done

Came here twice and both times had excellent food accompanied with friendly service. Highly recommend!

Very quiet during mid-week lunch, so not much of a vibe, but decent Pho and very friendly and prompt service.

Service with a smile and great attitude towards customers. The food is wonderful, with paticular regard to the pho broth which is very moreish and yet, not over flavoured. I recommend the egg coffee. Overall great.

Pho Bo, reasonable price with student discount, broth is alright but the rest is perfect!

I used to like their pho, as someone from Taiwan, I’ve been having quite good Vietnamese pho from high school age. It’s difficult to find authentic broth in London, Tanvan used to be alright then the broth became horrible… like they just mix from instant pho seasoning powder. Yuck and overpriced. Was really excited to try this place but was disappointed with the food, the tumeric chicken bowl really lacked flavour.

Saturday evening dinner with family at this delicious Vietnamese. We had the Beef in a leaf starter (surprisingly flavoursome, served on a bed of noodles), prawn curry (bursting with flavour, though more medium spice than the mild as it was described on the menu) and chicken pho (can't go wrong!). Service was very friendly and smiley from our main waitress, food came out quickly even though the restaurant was nearly full, they had a high chair for our child and while the prices weren't cheap, mostly between £12-15 per main, roughly as expected in this area. Parking is easy on Sundays as even in local residential streets you can park, but every other day it can get very busy. Paid spaces are available on Mattock Lane just over the mini roundabout but check the signs as some spaces are resident permit holders only until 11pm.

I’ve been to TanVan a couple times and the food is delicious! The staff is helpful and the restaurant is never too busy or noisy. The Bun Bo Xao is my fav!

This is neither cheap, nor authentic. Everything in vietnamese cousine is tasty because of heavy use of noc nam, soy sauce and monosodium glutamate additives. My meal was below the average, and they added 20% on top of the bill because there is a small print saying prices don't contain vat. So suddenly a £15 salad turns almost £20. Service is so slow it is almost non existent

Bahn Mi was the best “sandwich” i’ve had in ages, the pork was AMAZING, bread was crunchy and fluffy. Service was exceptional, the girl working in there was lovely and so attentive. Would 100% recommend to anyone in the area!

Was so excited to try this place. Got the Bahn Mi to go and the bread was more like a sourdough baguette, hadn't been baked to get a crispy outside and fluffy inside. I've been robbed of 8 quid. Staff and inside were very nice but the food sucked. Don't waste your money.

Tân Vân is a very nice place for Vietnamese food, and we were pleased with our first-time visit. Told it can be busy though our mid afternoon lunch was nice and quiet. A nice, friendly, and helpful service. Making comparisons with other places we felt food was very good. Chicken Summer Rolls with dip were very welcome starter a on a very hot day served with well chilled drinks. Definitely a place to revisit, and to try out the Pho. We noted sign welcoming dogs, so nice to know

Went to Tanvan on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was nice and quiet, the staff seating groups of people separately so we didn't have to talk over other people whilst enjoying our meal. The food was exquisite and there were many vegan options as well as meat options for the carnivores of the group. Whilst a little pricey, the food, service and atmosphere was worth it. The staff were friendly and attentive but also gave us enough space to enjoy our meal without interruption. There isn't any parking so it would be best to visit those restaurant via public transport or you could always get a delivery. When we went there was a 20% off deal for students which was a real plus with 6 of us eating out together.

Unfortunately I just had the worst service and I didn’t even get the chance to try the food. Ordered online at 19:20pm, after more than an hour and a half of delay we called the restaurant to check what the problem was, the lady told us the kitchen had to close because of a big event but she assured us that the food was being prepared so we said okay and waited, less than 5min later the order was cancelled on their side. Very disappointing costumer service and sadly I won’t be ever ordering from this restaurant again.

Good authentic Vietnamese food. The summer rolls were fat and juicy. My beef pho had a good hearty stock but the beef slices were a little overcooked. The staff were very friendly and attentive. If I had to make a small criticism it would be that there was a slight stale smell in the restaurant (drains?). Other than that though, a very pleasant evening

10000% recommend the Pho soup was amazing and full of flavour and the iced coffee was the best coffee i’ve ever had… i even work at a coffee shop and i’ve never had a coffee this good, it was so good i even had to ask the lovely lady how they made it so that i could try to make it myself!!! definitely go and try them out. i’ll definitely be going back

Better options around and bad service

Had a great meal here last Friday. The summer rolls were fresh, and the prawn coconut curry had just the right amount of spice although could have used a bit more coconut flavour. The chicken pho and garlic pho were both delicious with really flavorful broths. The staff was friendly, and the place felt cozy. Definitely a spot we'll come back to!

Served us a chicken banh mi when we ordered a vegan one. When we went to pay it took them 10 minutes to take it off the bill so we had to wait until they could sort it?

What happened to your food? I got delivery twice from you now and the food is horrible. It seems it is old and reheated, Nuddles from the Pho are too soft, the meat is gummy and the spring rolls are too burnt and soggy. I have been a regular customer in your restaurant and ordered food home a few times and it was ok. Since you are part of the discount food on UberEats it just started to be bad. Please fix it, miss your amazing food. ........... This was my previous 5star review that I have just changed Excellent food and service. Best Pho 👌

Had enough of being excited by pho then immediately being disappointed by it being under flavoured? Can't physically happen here. Been here several times over last 12 months and the flavour remains. This is it here, the real deal. Family run e buonissimo! Don't be disillusioned by lots of options - the pho, the banh mi and the pork belly. All 5 star dishes and reasonsbly priced. My restaurant quality, even better it's home cooking.

Have been here a few times, the food has been on par with what we had in Vietnam. The vegan pho and summer rolls are delicious!

The food was pretty good. It had strong flavours and I liked it. It really tasted like it had MSG in it which I’m totally fine with, but the pho soup was a little bit too salty. But I didn’t find the restaurant that clean, I saw a lot of clutters near the kitchen area and had spider webs with dust on the ceiling right above me. The worst thing that put me off was the fact that I could see inside the kitchen. It didn’t look clean and the chef was eating some food while cooking our food, with his hands, he didn’t wash his hands every time he touched the mouth obviously. I mean he literally didn’t wash his hands at all (I couldn’t look away once I saw him start munching on food and I was facing directly into the kitchen) He was touching his phone too, it really made me feel sick in the stomach to be honest. But I’m sure every restaurant is pretty much like this because I have seen these kinda things many times. So I ate the food trying not to think about what I saw too much. Disappointing still

Beautiful authentic Vietnamese restaurant with wonderful tasty food. Lots of seating area and great attentive staff what more could you ask for. I recommend the ban mi. It was a delight followed by the egg coffee. 🥰. Thank you

The best Pho I have eaten in London. The baguette is warm and the fillings are yummy. We go there twice a week just to order the Beef Pho to warm our stomach!!!! You won’t regret it!

I would give TânVân’s customer service 10 out of 5 stars—they truly went above and beyond. They’re very responsive via the Google maps chat function and worked quickly to resolve a huge snafu on the part of UberEats. We got this order delivered and it was so well packaged and labeled for delivery. No spillage, no confusion about whose order is whose. Everyone is thrilled with their food. The vegan options are very clearly marked on the menu (and tasty!). Great place to feed a group of mixed dietary needs.

Recently opened, quite small, and unpretentious but with charming service and good food. Not many wines, so drink the beer.

absolutely rude driver, who suddenly when being 5 mins away turned back and disappeared, going in the opposite direction.. showed up rude, not apologising at all, being late 30 mins.. Absolutely outrageous.

Cute Vietnamese spot in Ealing! Literally near the main Ealing complex, amongst other restaurants. Waiter was super polite and accommodating. Food was great taste, we were pleasantly surprised. Definitely great value and very filling too. They also have the odd vegan / vegetarian option too so something there go r everyone.

Got takeaway on a Friday during lunch time and the food was so delicious. We could tell it was fresh. Will definitely be coming back 😋

An extraordinary amount of money to spend on tiny portions of food. The chicken wings were a particular let down: a handful of average, under-seasoned wings sitting bereft in tupperware. The summer rolls were so cold and limp it was as if they were straight from the fridge. They tasted of very little. And £13 for a chicken baguette sandwich is beyond a joke. The pork belly stew, however, was very good.

Excellent food, quick service, chilled atmosphere. We we’re travelling to Vietnam over Christmas and we’re pleased to say the food is very delicious, authentic and good size portions. Will be coming back. The summer rolls, or Saigon pork belly stew are highly recommended 😋

To start, the decoration is amazing. The service was great, the staff was very friendly. My friend has a bunch of restrictions and the waiter was super patient and helped with the order. This is a restaurant in Ealing. If you take the railway, it will take about ten minutes to get there. It is located on the main high street so it is very convenient. The restaurant has a clear sign on the front and you can see it from a distance. , it is a Vietnamese-themed restaurant. The store has a great atmosphere. What I like most is that the music they play all the time is very comfortable. We tried their Vietnamese Pho and it tasted really good! I also ordered their coffee, which is really worth a try. The waiters are very polite and feel very friendly, which makes the guests feel like they are home. In addition, their prices are those of ordinary restaurants, but you can eat good Vietnamese food, so it is highly recommended. There are also several different restaurants nearby, so you can try them all if you have time.

Went for a birthday quick bite to eat before moving on. We loved the food, a few more starter options would be nice but overall thoroughly enjoyed what we had, the portions and the price. Nice to arrive for happy hour too - 4pm to 7pm - we went on a Saturday. Pork spring rolls. Lemon grass chicken and Chicken Pho. Yum!

Wonderful atmosphere, great service, and the most delicious pho!

Super yum! Definitely not the most authentic but their takeaway holds up really well and it’s never done us wrong. We get their beef pho every time and the noodles to meat ratio is spot on which I think is really important with pho!

The food tasted great and was aromatic as previously, but this time we noted a number of gristly inedible bits of chicken which the chef had unfortunately not noticed and therefore included in both chicken dishes. The delivery was almost half an hour later than advertised, but given the horrible weather and smile from delivery driver, I think that still merits an "on time" rating!

Lovely little place with really good food and super friendly and attentive (but not over-attentive) staff. Great atmosphere too. The only downside is that the toilet is not accessible, it's downstairs.

As a Vietnamese person I had very high hopes especially given the amazing reviews. They were having 40% off on Uber eats so we ordered a bit of everything... And what a disappointment 😔. First of all given the high price point (the full prices before the discount) I was expecting the food to be authentic and flavourful. The pork bun with meatballs was super super dry and bland, very very little meat and a ton of rice noodles, for 15£ I am not interested in eating just rice noodles. The honey glazed pork Banh mi, again had almost no meat and the meat really didn't taste anything special, It was basically a baguette filled with pickle, no sauce, no pathé. The betel beef tasted expired which really made me wonder how long they kept it for. The spring rolls were just fine, nothing punchy. Overall the food was bland, dry and expensive. I would not order again.

Service was nice and atmosphere was cosy, but we ordered summer rolls and the prawns tasted really funky and the iceberg sallad in it was brown. We had ordered Pho as well but were scared to eat it in case the meat was bad too. The broth was also way too salty.

I highly recommend this place! I've been searching for a authentic Vietnamese restaurant in London and I finally found it! The food is delicious and fresh, I also recently ordered via Uber Eats, and I must say, the packaging was excellent, everything tasted great!

We had Bun Cha Hanoi and it definitely wasn't what a Bun Cha Hanoi should be. It tasted okay but I won't recommend it if you know what Bun Cha Hanoi is.

My order arrived in good time and was extremely well packaged and the delivery person followed the instructions perfectly. And it's delicious! This place is great. I can recommend it for everyone.
