Tandoori Express in Derby

Haven’t had a curry in a while so thought I’d give this local one ago. What can I say I’ll definitely be back. Great prices exceptional food. Absolutely delicious. Arrived early and the delivery driver was very friendly which is always a bonus. Brilliant Thank you 😊

Food was so yummy! I ordered a curry for delivery. All food was well packaged. Not greasy at all as some curries can be. Cook to perfection! Well done 👍🏻 Will definitely order from you again!!

Onion bhajis were hot on my palette, not sure if they were spiced. Otherwise, peshwari naan and pathia curry were spot-on.

Great food, on time and a really polite lady phoned to let me know the dessert wasn't available and offered an alternative which we received x2. Will definitely order again!

Disappointed at the food quality, the nan bread was like eating cardboard and the onion bhaji was rubbery. This place is normally has great food this this time was just gross.

Pure grease. avoid!! Made a large order for my residents. Food was greasy and soaking through the containers/paper wraps. Chips tasted stale and like they had been reheated in a microwave. Food went mostly uneaten. Pure grease everywhere its so gross

Order a large order for delivery. Various items. Both kebabs ruined by chilli sauce. (Allergy) I got called a liar by the manager. I shall never use this place again. All it would have taken was an apology and a commitment to get it right next time, but instead I got verbal abuse..poor, very poor service !

Before moving to Derby there was one place I would order my tikka masala from. It's taken a few attempts but #Spice is the exact tikka masala flavour and I will only be ordering from here in the future! By far the best tasting in Derby! It would be nice to get cheese on the naan as an extra but beggars can't be choosers

All our plates were clear! Even my fussy daughter. The chicken was delicious, plenty of salad, would have liked more fries as ordered a large but what we had was delicious- will definitely go back.

First time we have ordered from here, we heard good reviews so gave it ago and wow them kebabs are the best we have ever tried absoloute banging kebab couldnt rave about it anymore it was that good :-) well done!

The food arrived a bit late but who cares in this day and age as long as it turns up! The food arrived hot and tasted great as usual, the only gripe was a portion of mushrooms costing £0.80 consisted of only one 1/4 of a mushroom and a portion of rice was missing other than that all was great, worth the 40 odd quid? Possibly .............

Came ten minutes early. Was hot apart from chips but just stuck them in microwave. Really good tasting tikka masala. I would recommend using different packaging as naan and chips were a bit soggy from the heat. Overall really good. :)

Placed my order waited 1 1/2 hrs they said didn't have an order so ordered again on the phone and took another 1 1/2 hrs . So 3 hrs later got my meal and chicken burger came back as a standard beef burger. Not very good service at all.

My food was cold, my dessert was given back to the driver as it was all melted, but no refund given or replacement, disgusting!!!!! Only part of order was delivered, then 15 mins later the rest came, very poor service and would like a refund for the dessert please.

no complaints really food arrived 5 mins early which is a bonus if your hungry! it was hot and good portion size! would use again! its the first time ive used just eat! wont be again tho adding £2.50 onto price of order my advice is ring places direct!!

Food was cold by the time I got home owing to it being delivered 1hr 10mins early. I telephoned the take away and they said it was Just eat didn’t give a time for delivery!! Tried to complain on line to yourselves, some what impossible!! Ruined my whole evening.

Won’t be ordering from here again, food was cold. Got the text message to say the food was on its way and it still took over 20mins to arrive although it’s only round the corner. The driver was sat in his car for a good 5 mins before he came to the door! Food wasn’t upto it’s usual standard and the sauce very watery, naan bread was cold and solid as a rock, deffo wasn’t cooked fresh! Will not be returning

We ordered our food at 17:48 and were told it would arrive at 18:50. We received a message at 18:35 saying our food was on the way (from little over a mile away) but still did not receive this until 20 minutes later at 18:55. All the food received was cold. The order placed on Just Eat stated that the meal for one would include 2 curries and 2 sides which was reflected in my order, this was not what we received and when questioned the restaurant they said that was not what the meal was. In which case it is false advertising from Just Eat. When we called the restaurant to complain about the cold food, we were met with a very rude man on the phone who kept talking over us and just told us to go through just eat as we “chose to go through a 3rd party”. The most that they would do was to organise a driver to come and get the food so they can take it back to the restaurant and check if it was cold. They would then cook us a replacement potentially. No time frame could be given on any of this so we said we wanted a refund and were again referred rudely to just eat. There was no apology ever given for the poor food temperature - which was our main complaint and if it wasn’t for the cold food we would have got on and eaten what food we had received. We have since requested a refund from just eat (which was difficult in itself). If the person on the phone had not been incredibly rude and the restaurant had been more accommodating with their response regarding our cold food and more amenable to providing a replacement meal as soon as they could or with some sort of time frame then we would have been happy to have food from there and not request a refund. However due this person from #Spice being very rude and arrogant we will never order from there again.

Ordered red velvet cake, so I called when red velvet CHEESECAKE arrived I called because I really don’t like it. And they said to them, it’s the same thing. By definition they’re completely different desserts, there’s no cake in cheesecake it’s cheese and biscuit base. So I’m not happy. Plus had to microwave my chips and cheese because it was really cold on arrival

Worst Indian I have ever eaten. Chicken tikka masala tasted like pure sugar it was extremely sweet, the meat in the curry was good though. Peshwari naan had no sultanas in. The keema naan Mince meat was grainy and brown, not like any keema naan I have ever had before. To top it off they didn't bring the chips I ordered and let's be honest there's no point calling and chasing chips when they would take about 15 minutes and you'd be finished eating. I won't be eating here again!

About the 5th time I've ordered from here, food has always been great (no watered down curry etc). Not a bad word to say.

Ordered from spice a couple of times now. It’s delicious! Portion sizes are very good aswell. Definitely plenty to go round. Delivery time has been good even on a Saturday. Will always choose to order curry from here now. Only tiny criticism is naan breads, don’t really get to us warm and the cheese naan isn’t cheesy enough. Overall though a great place to order from.

Paid extra for potatoes in curry but just got normal curry. Paid £2 for drink but delivery driver offered one poppadom and a promise of a drink when I order next time. £2 pricey for a drink im sure the restaurant could have bought a bottle on the way here. Bad service. Won't be ordering again

Curry was nice. Desert - ordered white cookie dough and coconut ice cream. Received chocolate cookie dough and no ice cream, dessert was very disappointing, so much so that I didn’t eat it!

Food pleasant enough. Order over an hour late from arrival time given, arrived over 2 and a half hours after ordering. Can understand that website errors happen and things can get busy but atleast update the customer.

The Chips were cold, The ice cream was melted and the cheesecake was gateaux, I rand to say and was told they didn't do the cheesecake which was advertised so just sent a different desert, A phone call to confirm would have be welcomed as its not what I would have chosen, Also the guy on the phones manner was poor, I would not use again.

We ordered a 3 mix kebab and large chips on a Saturday. The portion size was tiny compared to normal. The kebab was half the size and chips barely a small. Hugely disappointing

Everytime we order there is a mistake! I just rang to make an order of shish meat and chips and they told me they won’t do that because I will start crying at the portion size?!?!? Madness

Completely poor! Restaurant failed to deliver the items listed in the order, meaning we had to phone them. When phoned, the delivery driver was rude, calling us liars on the phone when we quite literally ripped bags to pieces trying to find food items. When actually checking what food had arrived, the orders were wrong, meaning one meal couldn't be eaten due to allergies. Failed to answer the phone to JustEat who tried following the up for us THREE TIMES. Rude, unprofessional business. They do nice food though, it's just a gamble on if you get it or not.

Tandoori Express has now changed name to #Spice. The food was awful. The customer service was awful. Only part order delivered, they went to collect and bring back, 30 mins later nothing still delivered, I rang and was told if we want it quicker to go get it ourselves. 20 mins later pizza delivered. It was part cooked. An upset hungry 10 year old on a Friday night at 8pm isn't great. The other order of chips - cold. Chicken tikka - rubbery - microwaved. Well done to the incompetence staff at #Spice. Another customer lost.

Has to reheat the food. The Kebab was too Salty and quite spicy compared to other donner kebabs weve had. The Garlic cheese naan was ordered but got plain naan that wasnt fresh tasting. Ordered banana yazoo shake but got strawberry and the bottle smelt like cigarettes.

Very unprofessional service!!! I had to cancel my order from yesterday 8/9/2018 consequently I cannot find a way of leaving a review. I promised myself I would leave a review so here it is. After nearly TWO HOURS of waiting I rang the restaurant and after approx 20 rings I got an answer. The chap apologised and said the order would be at least another half an hour and suggested I cancelled it. This didnt go down well with me so I cancelled the order and promised myself I wouldn't go there again as a result Im ordering from somewhere else tonight.

We had to cancel our order in the end as we’d waited an 1hr 35 mins. My partner phoned the shop to see how much longer it would be only to be greeted with hostility. We cancelled the order and will never use them again!

We have had good food from here. It has been late beforehand also we have had wrong stuff ordered and maybe a few things missing. But now after waiting 2 hours and no show. They don't answer the phone. The app did say it was delivered half hour ago we have had enough. Will not be coming back. After ordering here over 10 times

Very poor, ordered poppadoms got none, ordered paneer got none, ordered potatoes got none! One hour & ten minutes late from stated time. Ordered just before 7pm arrived at 9:30pm! Ended up with three and a half tandoori chicken, ordered one & a half. Guess money wise we got the better deal but that wasn't the point. Very poor & will not use again.

Food never arrived - after waiting an hour to reach the estimated delivery time (and then 20 minutes after they had "delivered" it according to the app) I rang the restaurant to chase the order, was informed that they had not begun making the food and was advised to call Just Eat to get it cancelled and refunded. Appalled that I was allowed to wait indefinitely without so much as a courtesy call to inform us that it would have been late.

absolutely terrible service! ordered at 6:30pm for delivery time at 7:30pm. was messaged at 7:25pm to say it was out for delivery. still no order arrived by 7:57 so called the restaurant to be told it won’t be a few minutes as it’s out for delivery. finally arrived at 8:32 to which I had given up on it coming so got food from elsewhere. will NOT be ordering from these again!
