Tandoori in North Kesteven

* Traditional Bangladeshi food * I stumbled across the Old Coach Tandoori by default as a lot of the other takeaways in the locality are closed on a Tuesday. When I called to place an order, I had the option for collection, delivery or to eat there. I had not realised that it was a restaurant. There was seating inside and outside; I was thrilled to save myself washing up. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, not greasy and very well priced. I took some home and it was even better the following day. - Order several poppadums as they are thin. Lovely and fresh, but I wish I had ordered more as the lime pickle was really good. - Try the chef’s special rice. It has cashew nuts in it and pairs really well with a peshwari naan - No alcohol, soft drinks only but pub next door - Quiet and no music. If you’re looking for atmosphere, may be best to get a takeaway. However, I enjoyed the fact there were not many customers and is great for my partner who is neurodiverse. I will definitely be visiting again!

We stayed above the old coach house tandoori in a on sweet room for 3nights it was really good value an clean would stop there again .we tried the Indian one night it was the best I have had out side off India (goa) it is 5star but it’s a small place so it lacks the space an atmosphere but the food is excellent you will not buy better garlic Nan was brilliant as well I had the jalfrasi chicken it was a near godly experience I’m starving now an missing it as write this review thanks for being there it a shame it’s so far to drive but definitely will have again welldone thanks from a massive Indian food fan

I was staying nearby so ordered a mixture of mains and sides for a family group comprising of four teenagers and six adults. The orders were placed online a short time apart to keep the payment simple, and immediately after this I phoned to check that both would be ready to collect at the same time (as indicated online). On arriving to collect we were told that there was a problem with an absent staff member. One of the orders came out about fifteen minutes later then ordered, and the other about half an hour later. (If I had known it would take this long I would have popped next door for a quick pint.) The guy was apologetic, and I was a bit stuck at that point as a consumer as I want entirely happy, yet didn't want to be demand an arbitrary amount off the bill. I placed both parts of the order in an insulated bag as soon as they were cooked, and even after the ten minute drive back to the shack, both were sufficiently warm to not need reheating. There were some initial criticisms amongst the group that the portions of rice were a bit stingey, and should have filled the whole container given that they cost £3-4; however overall everyone was full up at the end and very satisfied with the quality of the food. Hopefully the delay and staggered completion of orders that we experienced was genuinely down to unexpected staff absence, and anyone else ordering from here will just get the good food that we enjoyed. We had purchased our sundries from a supermarket, rather than spend another £80 or so feeding a large group, and this approach worked well for us, with the food from the restaurant taking centre stage. The paneer tikka masala was good, and others present liked the lamb madras.

Very late Expensive for the amount Tasty but as i say very expensive for what you get Ordered at 1800 for 1930 arrived at 2000

We decided to try The Old Coach after it was highly recommendation by a friend. We ordered food at around 19:30 for delivery and paid online. At around 21:30 there was still no sign of our delivery. I contacted them to check how long it was likely to be and was told they didn’t have our order! I then gave our order number so it could be checked again and it was found on the system but hadn’t been started and it was now too late as they were closing!! He organised a refund which will take 3-5 days to receive. So now I’m £40 lighter and without any food!! Extremely disappointed after hearing good things……

Best Indian radios we have had since moving here 8 years ago and we have had a lot 😉 Peshwari naan was amazing as were the various curry dishes we got. Will definitely order again … delicious

Have had several takeaways from this lovely little restaurant. Always a pleasant smiling welcome. Food is reliably excellent and portions are generous. We are fast becoming regulars.

Really tasty evening meal served by extremely hard working staff. Lamb was so tender and curry was best we have tasted. Compliments to the chef Udin and a big thank you perfect service from Andrew and H

I just read a review that said the food was watered down and the owner squared up to the customer for complaining Wow Just to say we drive 45 minutes to collect our takeaway and I have in 2 years never had a bad meal it's always hot by the time I get home. Great food great service

Like the other positive reviews, can only assume that the poor reviews are malicious. The food is stunning and staff wonderfully polite and courteous. A really enjoyable meal.

We picked a meal on the way back from the coast to take home . Very friendly and reasonable. Food was really good no complaints at all will return.

I am shocked at the two negative reviews on here and can only believe they are malicious and without foundation. I have had food from this takeaway since they opened and have never been dissapointed and have spoken to no one who has had a bad meal from here. My friend had his first meal delivered from here last night on my reccomendation and messaged me to say " This was the best takeaway curry I have had, both me and my wife will be back for more" Please ignore the negative comments and get food your will will enjoy.

Once again had a lovely meal from here. Great flavour and plenty of meat. The chicken tikka and onion bahjis were lovely. I dont know what was wrong with the meal with a bad review but looking at the pictures they didn't leave much🙄 so it could hardly have been disgusting. Just wanted a free meal I think.

I am a regular curry eater. My view on The Old Coach Tandoori Excellent food, service, and price. Had 10s of meals from here and never had anything other than great curry. Definitely the best in the East Midlands. Recommend highly

This was a takeaway and food was absolutely disgusting and disappointing the curry sauce was curdling and full of grease and had absolutely no flavour at all and made sick and other family members sick to i called to complain and my son when to get my refund but they did not refund and told my son we was all bared from the the old coach tandoori takeaway and restaurant all be cause I complain and asked for a refund after all I paid £99.05 and they took the food back and still no refund and a very rude manger and staff and no mask or gloves and the one that have the make was not wearing it properly I definitely not recommend this place to eat Here pictures of my food it was disgusting
